Our granddaughter came home from school(17yrs old), in tears having been told by her teacher, that her grandfather(me) as an ex member of the armed forces, was by her definition, automaticaly a right wing racist bigot. The next day she challenged Mrs Hassanali, and was threatened with exclusion for being a disruptive influence. The same school introduced halal menu without informing parents.

Those who are born in the UK, do not appreciate how great that country is. If you went to and live in other countries, and know how awful those countries are, would never dare to hate the UK ever again. People from all over the world are desperate to get into the UK, US or any Western country but a large number of people from the West insist their countries are essentially hell on Earth. The West is not and has not been perfect but for the last couple of centuries our countries have been the wealthiest, safest and most free on the planet. Hell, people criticize the West for not living up to the ideals the _West itself_ created. No one else was talking about "human rights" until the Brits, Americans and French were.
