Trans people need to be honest about their biological sex and stop confusing it with their gender identity.
They keep claiming that gender identity is a social construct but still want to change their birth certificate to female which is based on biology.
A lot of them are ok with their biological sex, but society itself causes the dissonance, and the feeling or pressure that you should be one thing or another, of not being happy with your body, that it does not fit the purpose. If surgery did not exist, they would still exist. They have always existed. Many do not want to be operated on or have bits removed, because their gender feelings ebb and flow, or they grow out of them completely. Bins are full of discarded dresses and shoes, thrown away when the feeling is gone. Mistakes are made when surgery in involved. But for others it works perfectly well. They accept the risks and the ongoing treatments and live happier lives.

As a woman who has been sexually assaulted, single sex toilets/changing rooms are vital. I don’t want men in my toilets or locker rooms, and at the end of the day a trans woman is biologically male. That makes me feel very uncomfortable and vulnerable. It is rather easy to tell that the guest isn’t a biological woman, and the fact that he starts out saying I’m not a man is just ridiculous. I care about who is allowed in to public ‘safe spaces’ because it is a matter of safety and peace of mind.
I am a woman and I have never liked communal changing rooms. You do realise that trans women have been using your toilets for years and you haven't even known. Why haven't you known? Because they are not all sexual predators and they don't all look like men in dresses. I have met trans women who are models. You would never in a million years believe that they were born male. Are they supposed to use the men's toilets and be attacked? What about a trans man? If they walked into the Ladies there would be uproar as the women would say a man has gone into their toilet. But they are biologically a woman. What about intersex people? Who decides what toilet they use? What about a very masculine looking woman? Is she not allowed in the womens' toilets. She could be mistaken for male. There are predators in every community . If someone wants to commit a crime they will do so. That doesn't mean that all trans women (a very small minority) of the population are sexual predators who are dressing up as women to go into the toilets and attack them. I have mixed with the trans community for years and have never felt at risk. I understand women who have been assaulted needing safe spaces and I don't agree with trans women competing with women in sport but this whole fuss about toilets is ludicrous. I am not bothered who uses the same toilet as me as long as they are respectful. I feel uncomfortable sharing my space with some women. Also, how would you police this ban on trans women using toilets. Genital examinations?? This whole issue of toilets has been blown out of all proportion. (I am an abuse survivor too.)

A few weeks ago I was in another town and the only public toilets were Unisex. I was very uncomfortable with the thought of having to use them and another man, a complete stranger to me admitted to feeling the same way about it.

I think their point was trans men being biological women under the lens of a biological approach would go into women's bathrooms - which will still make them feel unsafe and uncomfortable, so it really will come down to who passes as what gender in the end whether people like it or not as there's not really any other practical solution outside of ID checks at the toilet door.

Girls & women feel uncomfortable with blokes looking on, listening in, sniffing around when we are using the toilet, changing our clothes, taking a shower. It's why women's loos, locker rooms, changing rooms have always had rules that say it's fine for mums & female carers to bring in our sons & male charges when they are babies & little boys, but once boys reach a certain age - usually 6 or 7 - they can't come in any more, not even with their mums/female carers.

Exactly - for the simple fact 'trans men' are biological women. The potential danger to women and children, as always, comes from the male population. How those males dress or 'identify' is irrelevant, all men have the potential to pose a risk of harm to women, therefore do not belong in female toilets, changing rooms etc.
Decent men fully understand this, respect women's rights to their own spaces, and do not seek to invade those public spaces intended for women and girls!

This makes me so angry. The trans women issue around safe spaces should be a problem for men to solve, not women! Men should be educated to accept men in dresses into their toilets etc. It shouldn’t be forced on women to step aside for them. Absolutely sick to the back teeth of hearing blokes preaching to women about womanhood, it’s nauseating.
The only way to keep women’s spaces safe is to keep ALL men out, regardless of whether they are wearing a dress. The emphasis now should be shifted to making men’s toilets safe for trans women. The alternative is a separate toilet/changing room facility.

I completely agree with you about keeping all men out of women's spaces, however we don't want them either. I will often take my 5 year old son into a public loo on days out etc and certainly don't want a man in a dress claiming to be a woman hovering around in there, just as you wouldn't want a woman claiming to be a man hanging around in a woman's toilet, especially a post op trans man with all the 'equipment'. I think the trans community need to solve this one themselves, they should have separate spaces just for them.

Single spaces are for a single sex .
Trans women are not women. If they do not feel they are men, then maybe they need to campaign for another classification that sets them apart from the 2 basic gender catagories, and apply/ campaign to have trans spaces - not invade womens spaces - because they are not women! Same goes for sports - have trans sports a d compete in a fair playing field against each other, not women!
So if clarifying the law isn’t going to be enough to keep them out of our bathrooms/changing rooms/sports etc then other means will be necessary.
