These two actors are phenomenal and the script is exceptional with all the twists and turns in Alfie's' dialogue . Hardy gets to show off his skills in this one . I can just see these two in real life in a pub ' letting their hair down ' .
Some of the the finest acting i have ever seen. Great writing as well, just fantastic.

That is a joke that is on another level . It made me laugh because you could feel the foreshadowing of the line about the dog being better off thinking his master was dead , what an absurd abstract thought for a dog . This is great writing .

Oppenheimer was Easy, compared to the Acting Cillian Did in Peaky Blinders....Just Amazing, he Transforms into Thomas Shelby, compared to his true personality.

I think it might be mostly that the players and overall situation around him are changing along w his environment. Also because it’s not a line that requires that much scrutiny. It’s main point is the jab at the political system and I’m sure they didn’t mean to make Tommy contradict himself. You bring up a good point but I still think the lines work together

Tommy wasn’t saying he needed something explained. Alfie said,”since when do you need explanations?” As in, since when do you need to explain yourself? Well, politicians are elected and have to answer to constituents and voters…gangsters do not.

Last time they talked at Tommy’s house about his mental state after his skull was smashed, I think he’s saying that Tommy being unbothered by the threat of being shot is evidence of his mental state deteriorating further.
Basically, he’s just referring to Tommy’s mental health & state of his life. Alfie couldn’t literally see 👀 anything wrong with Tom.
Dont listen to these bums this is after tommy was told he had cancer and fell for it but it turned out he didnt have any cancer and they thought it would help get rid of tommy
