Peaky Blinders is an epic gangster drama set in the lawless streets of post-war Birmingham.
In this episode, Tommy gathers the Peaky Blinders to discuss recent tragic events and to give his orders. The Shelby boys travel to London to meet Mosley, and it’s soon revealed who has the upper hand. At Arrow House, Linda visits Lizzie to ask her advice, and Polly visits Aberama to pass on Tommy’s instructions. Meanwhile, Tommy learns that one of the Peaky Blinders is in danger and sends Arthur and Johnny Dogs on an urgent mission to intervene.

There was Johnny Dogs, and the people of small heath, and his mates from the war, and the entire gypsy crowd with whom he could pull the "Granda was a King tho" card (and who he fell back on whenever his more "civilised" connections sought to get ahead at his expense). He was good at making temporary alliances of convenience, no doubt, and he played them like a maestro, but to say he had no connections is just untrue.

I love how the peaky blinders are essentially a crime syndicate, yet have better morals than almost everyone else In the show
A statement as retarded as: "The yakuza helped after an earthquake, so they're not so bad." - They're criminals. They've killed, tortured, robbed, destroyed property, and so on. Their "morality" is a joke, and they themselves - puny.

Cillian Murphy is one of the best actors in the world and it's time he gets the recognition he deserves.

Scene at 2:10 is so well delivered. Just genuine anger, he didnt thinked about it, just destroyed all his world view with a punch to the table, as 'Now you can see'.
Also the fraction of a second they gave us to see instant reaction of the other two sisters, who clearly started to understand what was really happening.
All actors and cinematography on point.
Pol being a pure, Unadulterated Badass and everyone loving her is proof to me, that this nonsense of "you just don't Want powerful female characters" is just that, complete and utter nonsense

@Kekistani Pepe I like those characters so much more, they grow like everyone else, and still prevail, dispute injuries, I equality or disadvantages. Pol is an older, gypsy housewife gangster woman. No formal. Position, barely any ties to society and plenty of loss, hardship and trauma. Still the most badass character on this show.

Nah nah you missed the point, we don’t want unrealistically strong female characters that could beat up a man that’s twice their size, it looks stupid. We want a realistically portrayed female character that has her natural flaws and weaknesses and still overcomes them.

The scene before this, where they both were walking and all you could hear were their footsteps and you could tell that the nuns knew that some shit was about to go down. That was so powerful

Only someone who grew up in a place such as this can understand just how awesome this scene is.
All those that were taught by nuns will also know how some of them were bloody sadistic and have a cheek to call themselves godly!
Cillian can change not only the accent but the tone, authority and mood of his voice so well it’s genuinely incredible.
I've watched this entire series twice. The shootings, blood, etc...not too fazed. Then, there's this scene where he is sooooo menacing and it actually scared the hell out of me. The entire time I was murmuring, "Holy f$ck." Then I paused the scene and gave a slow bravo clap and chef's kiss!
He is British so can't go wrong with the accent but yes the tone of his voice and the authority with which he speaks is commendable.

I am obsessed with this moment. I’ve watched it so many times and still cannot get enough of it. It’s an absolute master class of acting. Cillian and Helen are perfection in this scene, and Helen at the end is captivating. Gosh, I will miss her so much. She was so wonderful. Gone far too soon.

@@deangreen2567 actually, it is a quite common theme with criminal organizations and such, mainly because the people that run them are still........people, and they have background , memories and frustrations about things that happened to them , and now that they have enough money and influence, they can also do stuff that mask these frustrations (or whatever you want to call them ) and make them go away, fully or partially
if you want a paralel , think of a millionaire doing some charity or something in that "neighbourhood" , yes, they mostly doing it for the image, but sometimes, if you could dig in their background, you will see that they have some emotional experience with things of that sort, or that it makes them feel good in some way

How this show is not generally put up there, and above, breaking bad is beyond me. The writers, actors, cameramen, editors, everyone, Jesus, you can easily tell they give it their everything at this. It’s a crime this isn’t as popular as it deserves.

I think it will carry on darker. After all, they plan to carry it through 1930s Europe, probably one of the worst places to be stuck in
the introduction of the billy boys was very dark... and tommy seems close to oblivion and taking his own life at any moment in some scenes... very dark

That was beyond a clear message. “Listen for my footsteps, I will come for you” gave me chills . Baby was calm and seriously intimidated those nuns.
This entire scene hits home. So many native kids were put in residential schools by the church, and so many never made it home.
I've heard stories from older family members, many who are long gone, about the abuses they suffered at the hands of members of the church.
"You see the world broken....like those beaten children will" had so much impact I almost teared up instantly.
This is a damn good scene, and the reason I started watching Peaky Blinders.
Can't wait to get to this scene and season.

Started with season 1 five days ago and finished season 6 today. These peaky blinders really hooked me in. Thomas Shelby is surely the definition of savageness, attitude and boldness
i envy the people who are yet to experience Peaky Blinders for the first time.
This show is FULL of memorable quotes.
Started with "Already broken" .... now we are here.
How this show has not won every award under the sun is beyond me. Seriously. It just gets better and better. Maybe this season will FINALLY receive the recognition that it deserves.

@@patrikgajcevic8123 I mean I think the actual acting is of a similar level. They both make you feel like they’re believable characters and have a wide variety in their character progression. The only thing that would separate them is which programme you prefer.

And when Polly leans in and says you see the world broken like those children will right after Thomas smashes her glasses it's like they rehearsed before they went in there that's how good they play off each other in the series, fookin' love it.
