31 year old Cowboys fan and I gotta admit I always low-key enjoyed watching Tiki Barber and Westbrook for the Eagles. They were smaller more shifty elusive backs who were good receivers out the backfield when most rb's at that time were huge around 230lbs and weren't good receivers
Tiki Barber had one of the best final seasons for a running back! 1,662 rushing yards on the season including a 234 yard game in his last regular season ever against Washington Lot of people forget this dude actually attempted a comeback 5 years later in 2011 working out for the Dolphins
@rehanmirza5616 if I remember correctly he shitted on the whole organization said they wouldn't win anything and than the giants went onto win the super bowl the following season with pretty much the same exact roster against the 18-0 patriots
Both NFC Wild Card Games were intense that year. Don't forget, the other one was the Romo muff in Seattle. In fact, every NFC playoff game until the conference championship was intense.
@@StangRojothe nfc only had one elite team that year in the bears. And even then it was because of their elite defense. Offense was only slightly above average at best

this game could have got tom couglin fired if not for the fact that they were able to beat Washington the previous week and be able to make it to the playoffs int he first place.
What sucks about this victory is that it turned out to be a curse for the Eagles and a spark for the Giants. The next year saw the Birds go 8-8 while the Giants came out of nowhere to pull off one of the greatest upsets in Super Bowl history.
Very underrated WC game. It's funny that they mention Coughlin being on the hot seat after the collapse the Giants had in the second half of this season. He put that to rest after the remarkable run they had the next season.

@Pickledfeet165 I'm aware. I'm referring to that particular season. They were like 10-1 that season and destroying teams before that happened. It took all the momentum away from them eventually leading to them losing in the playoffs. Had Plaxico not shot himself, I have no doubt in my mind that they would've won the SB again.

Tiki Barber was one of those running backs that were tough to cover both in the running game and in the passing game as well
Westbrook too. For years before TO he was McNabbs only reliable weapon
And he was SO fun to watch. He would make moves that looked like when you hit the juke button in madden

Why did he retire then on such a good year? Usually rbs I'd think retire after they lose a step in their game and physical capabilities
He basically had at least 2100 yards from scrimmage in each of his last three seasons, pretty crazy
