    Loved that you included the sound effects there at the end that you hear when the Tesla coils show up at the indoor section of the queue. I had no idea that this was a feature, and it's so good it doesn't play back to back but rather once every 5 minutes or so. It really catches you off guard that way and makes the queue experience a lot more fun. It shows great attention to detail, and I love that.

    The project leader of Voltron Nevera said in the Baudoku: „Eine gerade Schiene ist eine schlechte Schiene, ausser es ist eine Bremse drauf.“
    In english that translates to: A straight track is a bad track unlese there‘s a brake on it!

    I never thought about this, but having the backwards spike enclosed in the dark, would be relay cool. Like the shuttleloop at Walibi Belgium.

    I got 13 rides on it over 2.5 days last month (including 7 on an ERT session). Really enjoyed it. They really did a great job with it and for sure have that standout attraction they were lacking. For me it did crack my top 5 at 5/674 credits. Outstanding coaster. 3rd best coaster I’ve experienced in Europe.

      I’ve been lucky enough to get on both and I definitely prefer Voltron. Although Hyperia has more memorable moments it’s too short to really value it to the same degree as Voltron. The theming on Voltron is elite I just wished there was an outstanding moment kind of like Velocicoasters Mausasorus roll. Overall The length and the theming puts it well ahead of Hyperia in my opinion.

    1:36 i really have to strongly disagree on that one. Straight track kills every ride and its flow. You can't feel speed, you can only feel G-Forces. Straight track pieces suck!

    • @AmusementInsider
      @AmusementInsider  Месяц назад +5

      I know most likely disagree, but it introduces new sensations and interesting pumpy-transitions that all new rides are missing out on, and make some rides stand out.
      The straight track at the end of Millenium makes you realize how quick you’re still moving, & you do feel that speed.
      Or take the bottom of Mako’s drop; you get that awesome little pump.
      The downward straight track into the Immelmann on Oziris, your body is so used to the many positive G’s by that point that it feels like it’s quickly lifting upwards before you slam back into positives.
      I think it would work nicely in the Voltron layout to have just one quick one and break up the constant elements.

    • @thomasgoodwin2648
      @thomasgoodwin2648 Месяц назад +1

      Can't disagree and there are other options.
      Bunny dips (underutilized IMO) give an extra jolt of "O crap!" . The snap +Gs at the end can deliver that quick "Whuuumph!" wake up call. Overall it has it's downs and ups😉
      Twists/Barrel rolls, etc (if the section is long enough). Always trippy when low to the ground. Don't always have to go all the way around either. Rocking back n forth is effective too.
      S-Turn combos, also has a rocking motion attached.
      Head/Foot knockers. Good Cringe factor especially with high speed sections. "Hole in the wall" often works well in this situation.
      "The Box!" Although given "The BOX!" at the launch of this ride it might be repetitive here.
      Fog banks
      And yes of course, the long bit of just straight track. It can be good if the ride is at a point that the rider needs a break. High speed that's smooth can be restful enough to the sphincters to prepare for the next series of pucker. The trick is usually to provide enough themed eye candy to prevent the boredom factor from creeping in. Here I think I would have mirrored the ground, so looking down has you seeing endless sky. Anything to throw the mind another incongruity while the body chills a moment.

    This looks like a cool ride, but I think Mack should focus more on the actual coaster part of their rides instead of gimmicky features. Their track and train designs still use the same technology, maybe slightly evolved, that on Blue Fire over 15 years ago, and it really starts to show as they build bigger and crazier rides that aren’t perfectly adapted for this kind of tech.They should really try to completely change their track and trains system like how Vekoma did a few years back. Maybe not like Intamin which changes their trains/track almost every new ride.

    • @matthewblack2252
      @matthewblack2252 Месяц назад +2

      I think they are sorting the suspension trains out slowly but surely. When I was there a month ago there was a couple of trains which gave a very rough ride particularly in the evening and then the rest were fine

    • @ft4709
      @ft4709 Месяц назад +3

      In that case it’s not down to the trains but maybe individual cars. 80% of all rides I had on it gave me a serious headache. I know how good it can be due to the 20% that were absolutely phenomenal, but as of right now it’s hit and miss.

    • @flaffstar_99

      It's a combination of the trains being too wide and the track being to shakey, especially on the track joints. But they are working on it!

      @matthewblack2252 I don't believe it. I think people are just overly sensitive or making it up for attention. I rode this coaster on four different days a lot of times every single ride was very smooth.

    Why does the ride have 7 inversions (it is also listed so on RCDB), am I missing something? Launch into inverted top hat, followed by downward corkscrew, 2x Immelmann, 0g stall after boost, dive loop before turn table, and finally the 2 corkscrews after the MCBR. Shouldn't it be 8?

    Did you do only one ride? Saying that the ride is rough - period - is dishonest. You really have to mention, that some trains are smooth, and some trains are rough. Which is its own criticism, because you can't control if you are getting a headache-inducing seat and ride, or a smooth one. The lack of choice and therefore the inconsistency for the rider is a very warranted critique.
    Saying that the ride is rough without clarifying, like you do in the video, gives the impression that it's always rough, which is just straight misinformation. Sorry, but I have to say that. You can't simply say the ride is rough, if it is not in many cases. The inconsistency on the other hand is the critique that is justified. It was Mack's choice to send those trains out, that they knew were incredibly rough especially on the outer seats even after the first day, but they are testing them live on the audience, which leads to bad experiences like in your case.
