  • Voltron Nevera is the new-for-2024 roller coaster at Europa Park. This is the prototype Mack Stryker coaster and it has one heck of an ambitious layout. There are multiple launches, including a beyond vertical one, 7 inversions, and some strong airtime hills. And the coaster also features some beautiful thematic touches as well. This makes it the best ride at Europa Park and possibly Mack's best roller coaster. Find out why in this review!

      Voltron looks amazing and a very complete package with the immersive theming and the variety of elements, and especially the lenght. It's a complete ride, with everything you'd want in a coaster, and it deserves to be in Europe's top 5. I doubt it will be my favorite, so I doubt it would beat rth for me, because I really like a ride that can "surprise" you every time you ride it, with crazy elements, forces you could never have in any other coaster and focused on PURE FUN, better than one that's well paced, long and well thematized, and focused mainly on intensity, like Voltron is! But I think it will be at least top 5 for me when I get to ride it

    Europa park have outdone themselves with the Croatia section, even if it’s not complete yet … It heightens expectations of what is yet to come. A couple of days ago they finally added the Weta animatronics to the plaza. Yes there are still some blind spots when it comes to theming, specially around the turntable, but I hope they will ramp it up once Voltron is completely dialed in and running without issues.
    I like how Mack starts to tie their attractions together under the „Adventure Club of Europe“ IP, even if some backstories are somehow inspired by already existing stories.
    The Backstory of Voltron reminds me a bit of the movie „The Prestige“ with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, where in a sideplot Nicola Tesla, played by the great David Bowie, discovers that his machine teleports and copies matter.
    There is another A.C.E. story, that has elements of the „Phantom of the Opera“ and also features Tesla and an experiment gone wrong, and rumors say that this might get the next big „dark boat ride“ for the park in the Croatian section of the park.

    You said that the layout is better than rth...but in what? Voltron's layout is intense and maybe even too much, because of the lenght (yeah for me it's too long) and the elements that are too next to each other! More airtime? Ofcourse, because it's longer, you can fit more of it in! I found it to be very very monotonous in the second half because all the airtime hills feel the same. Rth has spectacular moments of airtime and they're all different! The first half is less about intensity and more about fun (because the banana roll and loop don't want to be very intense but disorientating) and that's completely fine as the other elements are very intense and combining more and less intense ones prevents you of feeling sick at the end, like I did on Voltron! Which, in addiction, has that turntable which makes you breathe a bit but is a HUGE pacebraker! Voltron, apart for the first launch doesn't have anything special or unique. Also has not the re-rideablility of rth and the unpredictability, and the fun. I'm not saying it's a bad coaster by any means and I maybe sounded a little much negative on my tones, but I can't understand how now Voltron is "the best in everything" cause it's just not true! Forgetting about coasters, such as rth, that in my opinion deserve all the praise...and I also saw your video about rth, saying it had great and special elements and I completely agreed. Now it's changed? Now it's turned into a bad or "not so good" ride? I'm sorry for this. Voltron, at least for me, it's in the top 5 but nowhere close to beating the rth!

      Ride to Happiness is still elite. My review was made after my first rides, and I wasn't expecting the layout so it was extra crazy. It has moved down slightly on rerides since I know the layout now. Still an amazing ride, but I prefer the elements on Voltron.

      @@CanobieCoaster I respect your opinion of course. We have different tastes. I think that if you put spinning cars on Voltron's layout, it would be a mess. Like, an unconfortable mess! Would feel maybe like a flat ride more than a rollercoaster. This, combined to the rattle, would give me an horrible experience. That's why rth's elements are not extremely intense on paper because with the spinning they already are very intense. And as I said, the more intense doesn't mean the better at least for me

    About the waiting time:
    There are couple of days and also seasons in which u have an almost empty park with a few thousand guest and waiting time from 0-30 min max.

    I went to EP about two weeks after Voltron opened. As a hotel guest I got into the park right at opening and was headed for Voltron but then I see the mob of people running for it and figure I'd do something else first. I came back later in the day and ended up waiting around for an hour only not to ride it at all due to mechanical issues. Very disappointing but the parks not far from me so at least I'll be back

    Sadly not riding this coaster this year, but my god this looks absolutely incredible. Absolutely looks better than Hyperia. Hyperia looks way too short for my liking and this offers the dynamic ride Hyperia offers but in a much longer and well presented package. Absolutely incredible work from Mack. Additionally as a Long islander, it’s super cool to see the Wardenclyffe towers being integrated into such an amazing looking coaster. Bravo Europa park and bravo Mack.

    What is The Best Way To Get Front Row Rides?

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  13 дней назад

      Only way to guarantee it is to be the first one on the ride in the morning by spriting there and being among the first 4 people (and then having nothing that goes in a locker). You can't linger back once grouped since you mess up everyone else in your row.

    • @ThemeParkEnthusiastNL
      @ThemeParkEnthusiastNL 13 дней назад

      So The Right Wing Side is The Easiest? BTW i Could Also Try Just Letting 16 People in Front Of Me To Fill The Next Train. So That i Am The First One To Fill The Train That Comes After.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  13 дней назад

      They continously let groups of 4 go. So there's more than 16 people past the standby/single rider merge. It's too far back to count the groups.

    Voltron the best Mack? For me, I don't think so. I've not ridden Voltron yet and I can see why someone could consider It the best mack, I'm not saying it doesn't look amazing and the best in Germany (it SURELY is) but for what I can see, it misses that "wow" or surprising moment. The elements are all amazing but apart for the first launch I've already seen them all in other rides. The second part looks quite repetitive and the turntable looks like a pace breaker. So for these reasons, I doubt it will be my favorite, because I really like a ride that can "surprise" you every time you ride it, with crazy standout elements, better than one that's solid, long and well thematized like this. For me it may even be too long. And for what I can see by the reviews, it rattles a lot and since I'm very sensitive to roughness, idk how I can handle more than a few rides.
    That being said Voltron is without a doubt in the top 3 of best mackprodukt ever but I really would see how it ranks in a few months, when the hype (yes, that is playing a HUGE role...) will decrease a bit!
    Also I want to add: a better layout than rth? I think I would STRONGLY disagree! Longer for sure, more elements (because of the lenght) for sure, but overall better sorry but Idk how I could agree!

      @@aridaje4345 Not at all, not to me. Blue Fire was transformed with spinning seat, time traveller and ride to happiness are great, this would just be even better. That said, like Mike, I don't get sick on spinning flat rides no matter what they do. Last time I had a day at a carnival I had a full 3 course breakfast and went straight on the rides. No issues. So for someone like me it would be heaven to have that insane hang time inversion spinning and that air time backwards or sideways, but to you, not so much. We are all different.

    Loved it when I rode it last weekend. I also managed to not get spoiled before going there, but then got spoiled in the queue…🥲 But that is indeed intentional, if this happens, the storyline behind it is that the teleportation fails. But I think they shouldn’t do that it takes away the shocking moment for first riders. For me the right seat is way way way better than the left one. And front and back are way better than the middle ones. I was surprised by how big of a difference one row could make. Unfortunately it seems like I always got those two rough trains besides one ride in the front. Your Onrides look so smooth while in mine it looks like there‘s an earthquake going😂 (still with the stabilization of GoPro Hero9)
    But what a fantastic diverse coaster with some amazing and unique forces🔥
