All these decades later, I obviously knew the result of the race when watching it here, but I was still on edge at that 50 meter mark! Johnson came off that turn so far ahead! Mary T. had to make up some serious ground that last 25 meters! Holy cow! Fantastic race!
@@guntodd Yes, I doubt anybody would dispute that. She is The Queen. I was just referring to the lead Johnson had after her crazy first 50. She could always go out FAST. Mary T. had a back-half that was like an avalanche of strength & power. Both amazing swimmers.
