Hi I purchased this car its very nice , the owner had the original numbers matching transmission, radiator, condenser, shifter and console and drive shaft . I will bring the car to a much higher level , New interior complete , everything back to original . Undercarriage and engine high-end detail, correct 14in SS wheels and correct firestone tires. New rear bumper . The only thing am not going to change is the paint color , the paint is very nice , looks great. My cars are very high quality . I kept Intouch with owner for several months and final came to far deal .I wanted an LS 5 but so hard to find numbers matching Chevelle's with a build sheet. I have a very nice Monte Carlo SS 454 LS5 so the 396 will ne a nice addition to my collection. I appreciated all the comments and all those changes will be noted and corrected , like I said am just not changing the paint color, paint and stripes are vey nice.
Our Baltimore L34 SS conv is a Jan car and also has the convenience package option. What is really cool in that package is the CD2 washer fluid monitor that this car has. Not very many of that option out there. Managed to get a spare a few years back. Keep up the good work! This was a good one. Have to check your pics out.
I go into my storage building anytime l want and see a Forest Green L34 4spd 70 sitting there. Yeah! It's pretty cool that I'm the owner and caretaker of an awesome piece of automotive history
@@TomSteiner-n5h God bless you. I’m envious but not jealous. I grew up in the 80s when muscle was, well, kinda puny. Even then we worshipped what you have. Now it’s a piece of real American History as well as American fun. I wish you many great years with that beautiful car.
@@josephloguidice1841 Thank you for your very kind comment. I also grew up in the 80's . I'm only 59 and was blessed with the means to purchase that Chevelle and restore it to a very nice driver. I don't brag about owning one l consider myself fortunate enough to take care of it and give it a good home.

Are you kidding me???? That car is a driver car, not a survivor car. Non original paint color and changed over to a 4 speed. If Patrick didn't buy it, you don't buy it.
Patrick, I've been missing the videos, but that's the "nature of the beast."You can't just "wish them out of hiding. " A spectacular car. I just saw Nikki six 71 Chevelle convertible sell at B-J for 100k. Really nice car. I should've checked again first, but I know it was Cranberry Red, White/White, 71. I'm pretty sure it was a 71, not 72. It was 100k even. - I would Cruz to shows as is, Gently 😁. It looks great. It does have the Chrome strip under the headlights you say are present on earlier builds. The glare outside made it hard to tell until the grill shot at the end. Going by current Mecum & B-J auction numbers. I would think it an insult to offer anything south of 100k. Factoring in a $15-20k or more perfect Fathom blue paint & trans swap back to original. Great Job. Thanks.🇺🇲
That car is a piece of crap. Wrong color and changed over to a 4 speed. 3:31 highway geared rearend. It's basically a driver car, not a survivor car. Patrick didn't buy it. That means you don't buy it
Also of of shipmates bought a 1970 SS Chevelle hardtop red with black stripes 4 speed 396 brand new in 1970 when we returned to the USA at the end of our deployment to MayPort,Fla
Very nice car! The build sheet looks great but without the vin in the upper corner it raises concerns! I agree that someone one day will restore it again to factory color and condition. Always enjoy the videos and best of luck to seller and buyer👍
Hi Patrick, would it be feasible to just blow the car out. Dip it and restore it to showroom as it was born?? The only reason I say that is that it’s not the original paint the AC has been taken out and it’s a 4 speed which it’s not!!! What’s your thoughts??
This car is not worth that much effort. It's a driver car, not a survivor car. If Patrick didn't buy it, you don't buy it. The market is really tough right now on these classic cars. That's probably why the seller is having it authenticated so he can get more money. He wants to dump it before the bottom drops out of the market on his non original joke.
I've heard the term body-on-frame and unibody. What is a classic car like this considered? I don't have much knowledge on cars but would like to learn more. This Chevelle has got to be one of the coolest cars I've ever seen.
Patrick, I have to say I'm a little sick that you didn't find that Real LS6 instate sale car channel 5150 "mopar lovers" just put up. Would've loved to see it go to a real Chevy Chevelle man. It was great seeing a sweet LS6, but the BS this guy was laying on thick, they must've stolen the car cheap. I just hate people who have a "fake passion." That's why you're the only Chevelle channel I watch. ⛪️🇺🇲
Why start up the engine??? I've seen enough just going over the information. It's a driver car, not a survivor car. Non original transmission and changed over to a 4 speed. Non original color either. Just remember, if Patrick didn't buy it, you don't buy it. LOL
This is an A/C car in South Florida, BUT where is the compressor?? Car was restored with the wrong color, some aftermarket parts, no a/c and transmission was changed to 4 speed? (Yes you stated the original is still included) Granted, it's still a NICE car, but all that SEVERELY affects its CURRENT resale price. If you're NOT listing it here, then it's likely WAY TOO MUCH... Thanks for bringing this video, don't get me wrong, Patrick keep up the good work!!! Best Wishes!!
Considering how that car was built, why does someone make these changes? They didn’t restore it because restore means take back to original. If you want to float around on radials, go buy a new car. 15” wheels with lower profile radials don’t fill the wheel wells like 14” wheels and original white letter bias plys. Nice despite all that.
Is an October of 69 Atlanta car considered an early build? Atlanta built with a build sheet. Original matching numbers engine L34 396 with the original matching numbers M20 Muncie transmission. 3:31:1 rear end.
I do understand it takes a lot of money to restore a car. If I'm not mistaken a recent LS5 in great shape from Texas went for about $80K, can anyone verify that?
@@patrickglennnicholsmusclec1674Hi Patrick. When l did a frame on restore of my Forest Green L34 4spd w/white stripes, l chose not to put on the 396 emblems under the SS fender letters. That car won't go for very much money. The only original equipment left on the car are the engine and the rear end. It's definitely a driver car, not a survivor car. LOL. That's why the owner is having it authenticated, he wants to dump his non original car on someone else
This car has some issues that you didn't even mention. The heat press on the door panels and seats is flat as a pancake, the headrests have incorrect covers on them, the SS emblems on the front fenders are installed too high on the fenders, and on the deck lid the Chevelle emblem isn't even there! LOOKS LIKE A "PLEASE HOLD MY BEER RESTORATION". Makes me wonder what else is going on that we can't see.
I would drive the chittt' out of that mofo back here in Kentucky. It looks great. But that hot Florida sun will heat that black paint hotter than a blasting furnace. Must be miserable to own and drive it down there.
The seller just wants the car authenticated to get more money from the sale. Too many things have been charged on the car to make it a correct restoration. That car is basically a non original daily driver. Wrong original paint color and changed over to a 4 speed. It's a daily driver

That car isn't worth changing the paint color and transmission back to original. The A/C compressor is missing as well.
@@gregorylyon1004- The owner commented in another post, that he has all of the ac components, and they go/went with the car.
