I think whoever created this slightly odd video (no Centurion??) confused the Anglo-German EKE project, which is linked with the Black Prince upgrade for the Chally 2, with the Franco-German MGCS partnership. Having said that, it's quite likely that the UK will join MGCS, and pretty soon (if allowed ;)
Franco/German took the best of both tanks the 4 seconds autoloader, optics, armor and delayed smoke gun of the Leclerc Turret with the hull, engine, gearbox and configuration of the german Leopard 2. And obviously name it Charlemagne 1 instead of EMBT

Good video overall. I've seen other videos that compared the KF51 Panther and Abrams X there definitely comparable, but KF51 had better protection, a missle launcher, and a bigger main gun with more range and lethality they both use the latest electrics with AI and open-systems that can be upgraded the Abrams X did have a hybrid engine that the Panther didn't but we'll see soon enough both great tanks also I believe the EMBT is a joint German/French tank not British

It's not always about one being necessarily better. Sometimes, one may be better in certain environments or types of missions! There's many joint exercises where many Western tanks and other types of military equipment are compared, and they are all on the same side! So you implying that we shouldn't compare them because they are both NATO doesn't make sense!

Considering how many of these tanks have never been proven in combat it kinda an unbalanced assessment. Only a few Russian/ Soviet tanks and American Abrams have faced other in protracted combat. At least in the last twenty years.

Двигатель прикрыт тонкой (в сравнении с современными танками) броней, которая еще и не композитная. Двигатель расположен только с одной стороны, а с другой - мехвод. Если лом попадет в двигатель, то да, те 2м "брони" спасут экипаж. А вот если попадет со стороны мехвода - пробьет весь танк навылет (и еще несколько стоящих позади). Если фугас прилетит в маску башни, то проломит верх танка и не только поломает двигатель, но и экипаж новый понадобится.

I have a book( From 1976) wrote by an American Military Analist that served in WW2 on a Armored Division equipped with the M4 Sherman as a gunner. And the subject of the book is a comparison between ww2 tanks and modern Tanks ( this in 1976). The Man had plenty of combat experience,from Normandy,The battle of the Bulge and some Minor engagements until the end of the war. Its a very good book despite being 50 years old,a awesome research with factual data with Numbers,facts, used Technology and Specifications of dozens of diferent Tank models used in WW2 and the same abaut the new ( 1976) Tanks from different nations. Its an Excelente book. This to say that in a part where he talks abaut he's personal experience during WW2, specialy when he had to face German Armor,he ( like many other Western Historians, Military Analists or even many Veterans accounts put into books) is very direct and Honest when says that the German Tanks were far superior to anything the Allies had at the time. He talks abaut the mythical expression "Tiger Terror" among allied tank crews, if was real or if was a bad joke. And he says that was very real and always present,but not concerning only the Tiger but any other German Tank like the Panther or even their Tank Destroyers like the StugIII, Because any allied tank crew after 2 weeks in Normandy already knew how Powerfull and Superior the German Guns were in relation to what the Allies had to face them. It was the realization that afterall "We were deceived while in Armor School where they told us that we had the best tanks in the world,and only after 2 weeks we unfortunably found out that was not true,the German Tanks were the Best ones by a long shot". Я искренне не понимаю как 40 место- это Т-64, а 39- Леопард1. Леопард -1 может ровняться только с Т-62, Т-64 это танк следующего поколения. Леопард -2 вышел как ответ на танки Т-64/72. А то что Т-90 стоит ниже чем малазийские, индийские или пакистанские танки - это вообще глупость несусветная 😂😂😂. Где Т-80БВМ? Он такой же почти как Т-90, только с 1200 сильным газотурбинным двигателем. Он очень быстрый

Двигатель расположен только с одной стороны, а с другой - мехвод. Если лом попадет в двигатель, то да, те 2м "брони" спасут экипаж. А вот если попадет со стороны мехвода - пробьет весь танк навылет (и еще несколько стоящих позади). Если фугас прилетит в маску башни, то проломит верх танка и не только поломает двигатель, но и экипаж новый понадобится.

I have a book( From 1976) wrote by an American Military Analist that served in WW2 on a Armored Division equipped with the M4 Sherman as a gunner.
And the subject of the book is a comparison between ww2 tanks and modern Tanks ( this in 1976).
The Man had plenty of combat experience,from Normandy,The battle of the Bulge and some Minor engagements until the end of the war.
Its a very good book despite being 50 years old,a awesome research with factual data with Numbers,facts, used Technology and Specifications of dozens of diferent Tank models used in WW2 and the same abaut the new ( 1976) Tanks from different nations.
Its an Excelente book.
This to say that in a part where he talks abaut he's personal experience during WW2, specialy when he had to face German Armor,he ( like many other Western Historians, Military Analists or even many Veterans accounts put into books) is very direct and Honest when says that the German Tanks were far superior to anything the Allies had at the time.
He talks abaut the mythical expression "Tiger Terror" among allied tank crews, if was real or if was a bad joke.
And he says that was very real and always present,but not concerning only the Tiger but any other German Tank like the Panther or even their Tank Destroyers like the StugIII, Because any allied tank crew after 2 weeks in Normandy already knew how Powerfull and Superior the German Guns were in relation to what the Allies had to face them. It was the realization that afterall "We were deceived while in Armor School where they told us that we had the best tanks in the world,and only after 2 weeks we unfortunably found out that was not true,the German Tanks were the Best ones by a long shot".
Ps: just to end,another thought that i think is fascinaiting is when he mention that the Tiger II or KingTiger was still capable to face many of the modern ( until 1976) main Battle Tanks in a close and fair fight,because of the Armor and that Powerfull 8,8 cm kwk 43 main gun,that despite having a smaller calibre compared with modern tanks is sheer muzzle velocity can penetrate most of the modern main tanks frontal hull armor ( not the frontal turret)at 1000 meters and the Turret sides,not to mention the rear.
