- "This wordless, richly animated short fantasy adventure film is nine minutes of pure, unadulterated joy." This is a graduation film from Denmark's The Animation Workshop. A friend forwarded it to me from iO9.com to remind me of our misbegotten, but adventuresome, youths. Good times!

I loved the use of sound in this - a story without words. Just the occasional grunt or assertive sound to emphasize the purity of animation.
What an amazing tale of an epic bromance. Never before have I seen something so beautiful....
While I feel like there could be a few more frames added to the animation, this is without a doubt, one of the best animations I've seen. Kudos to those grads, I hope they have incredibly successful careers.
Another of life's mysterious lessons, represented with some truly peerless animation and writing... and design too!
it's not about the X's in life.. it's all about the dotted line that leads to it!
I love how an entire story was told without needing any words. Well done.
So.... I have a best friend whom I've known for about 13 years now. I'm 20 years old. This film really emboddies what I dreamed of doing with him once we got older. These... adventures... such charm! I hope to go on an amazing adventure with him some day.
Perhaps it was just the time we had together that was the adventure... Sadly.... we haven't been in touch since late 2012... That may seem like a long time ago... but I'm afraid that he's forsaken me. I call.. he never does. C.U. man!
I feel you Elcid. I watch your videos and I have a hidden interest in animation and art design. I love you and I love... This. This shows a WONDERFUL amount of presentation and has so much to see in the future. Graduation film? Why not more? This is beautiful.
Amazing! Ghibli meets old school European style, felt like I was back in the 80's discovering the world of Animation again.
Holy shit, I didn't expect this to be so goddamn good. I've literally been blown away by this work of pure and unbelievably awesome art. It would be a sin to not subscribe to this guy.
Liked it from the start but I think the Lava Narwhals really sold me xD
I'm amazed that this came out of nowhere! If this is your first work, then I implore you to continue in your animation endeavors! You sir, have earned a subscriber.
Battle Narwhals, beards and high-fives! Great job and congrats on the graduation.
im one of your subscribers i would have never seen this masterpiece without bambee
This really is amazing. A beautiful work of art.
really awesome. animation is still alive and well. great job.
This is an amazing animation and I hope those involved go on to do great things.
This made me so happy. THAT'S what I call an adventure. Absolutely fantastic job on the story, and even without words...such a good job :]
Exactly.
You basically called me an obsessed fanboy.
Thank you for validating my point.
I can tell you put ALOT of work into this. VERY well done.
This would actually be an amazing animated series.
This is the best animated video I've seen
So beautiful!
These guys have a kickstarter now, and I'm throwing about half of my money to their general direction.
This is beautiful!
That was really good. The feels really got to me.
for the original scene, just before the giant explosion of light, he's using his right.
but during the scene where mage and him are holding their hands with a flame above it it is his left.
he gained his fingers back for 3 or 4 seconds
Gotta show this to my RPG group. This awesome!
Wow, this was really fucking good. And not a single sentence spoken in the entire thing. Major props!
Amazing!! Very Engaging.
Gets me in the mood for some adventure games
this is beautiful!!
It's borderline erotic how awesome that post was. Well done, Mr. Huerta.
Backgrounds are just spectacular
This was beautiful
Great Tale of friendship and comradary!
Feel good film of the CENTURY!
wonderful... it makes me want to play D&D again :-)
I would watch a full length movie of this.
6:18 - the Wilhelm scream! :D
THIS WAS SO AWESOME
this is freakin amazing.
I would also watch a full length movie of this.
And may there be many sequels if there was one!
Aahahaha Elcid its a kick-ass boss as always.
Damn this is awesome.
Its like... Bromance: The Animation!
While that is a good point the youtuber does not claim credit and I would have never seen this wonderful film otherwise. Thanks to this video I now know about the Animation Workshop and can sub them and comment to the original artists.
Beautiful..... :' )
This vid is awsome!
Amazing :D
Awesome.
That's the adventure I want....*sigh* yeaaahhhh.....
Irony: The expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
This summer, im going to an animation camp. MADE BY THE GUY WHO MADE THIS
I concur!! :D
For me it's an awesome animation xD
Elcid is a popular animator indeed, but that doesnt mean he is wrong.
Love it
Void this is good
Such animosity. LOL
"Special thanks to
Dungeons and Dragons,
Pokemon" 8:32
The beginnings of Jamie and Adam.
That would explain all the explosions...
A Just amazing work ! congratulations ! :D The only bad point is the need of more image per second :/ it would be great :)
Time for me to roll up a fighter.
he at least gave credit to him
Then, he's missing them again in the next scene.
perfect
thanks.
4:19 erinnert mich an einen Murloc und 7:13 legendärer High-Five
AAHHHi just noticed, but the kids at the end, they appear as their younger selves in the background at 00:37
WTF, THIS IS MOTHERFUCKING AMAZING! SRY FOR CAPS I COULDNT HELP IT!
His left hand was the one who was damaged
He pretty much is, mate.
im looking for their channel so i can like and fave a few of their videos, can you please link me their, or if not, tell me their account name so i can find it?
His left had is the one that he's using.
it was uploaded 3 days ago. and he isn't stealing it if he isn't taking credit for it
those two kids at the end remind me of Naruto and Sasuke
so life's a circle uh? poor heraclitus
If you would read the description and the title you would see that he does actually credit where the film came from and how he got it. Stop crying over it and just enjoy the film. Plus, the creator could ask him to take it down,
This is because you see the reflection of the mirror not the real image ^^
Considering that the Fighter and Wizard fights differently, it's definitively not 4th ed.
It's the journey not the destination :)
Anyone notice the wizard was riding a unicorn at the end c:
I want to see through the portal please.
New Disney Employee? I think so.
This is a really good video... even if it is stolen...
or... it could be a form of respect toward the artists
Yeah I see it, one of the few mistakes in this epic video though
Actually, that's not entirely true based on what irks me about that guy's comment. Elcid's rather vivid statement seemed appropriate given the circumstances.
Also all respect lost and unsubscribed. Regardless though this short was fucking awesome.
Just an average campaign in D'n'd (-;
Do all you internet animator people just KNOW eachother or something? I bet you guys have some sort of secret society that you use to control all the nations around the world.
SEQUEL FUCKING WHEN!?
The Wizard's clearly unbalanced. What is this, 3rd edition?
in his defense, it is a thing here on the internet to point out a flaw in an otherwise flawless work in a condescending manner for a quick ego boost, completely ignoring the fact that animating is difficult and time consuming art. my guess is that he may have been on the receiving end of those kind of comments one too many times.
i still think he overreacted though
I don't wanna know your concept of joke then...
marry me!
Lol, it's ironic you call me that.
Good thing I don't buy anime dolls and go to McDonald's just to get toys!
Oh so being cool lets you bash on people who haven't done anything wrong but point out mistakes. Your so cool that I think you need to take a chill pill
No, that my friend is hypocritical not ironic. FYI I don't watch MLP.
