- SHERGAR follows Conor, a boy living a fast-paced and free-roaming life with his friends on the streets of Dublin. Though a life without responsibilities is great fun, it can't keep his head above the chaos of his poverty-stricken home. When he is tied between what he should do and what his hectic life pushes him into, he doesn’t always have a good choice to make.

Can we just appreciate how the art style fits perfectly to the environment and overall story?

Usually in animation hard shapes and edges are only used for the antagonist.. Here everyone is literally "edgy". I love it so much
I never thought of that! I already enjoyed the gritty setting and the people, the (arguably) realism of it. The style, and what you added makes me love it that much more.
I really love this animation style, it truly fits with the story and it's very unique too
I think the main moral of the story was that not everyone gets a chance to be free.
Connor got tense after watching the horse run freely, since he has to go back to his home to an abusive father and poor living conditions- He doesn't get to be free like that horse, at least not yet
Even if i'm wrong, its an amazing story with equally beautiful animation!
I think its more like how the horse went off track from the path he always had to race through
I gotta say, I absolutely love the style and sketchy line work in this! Plus the soundtrack is amazing.
This is amazing 💞. I keep tinking, what would've happened if instead of running away he helped his friend reach the police so they could led him to a hospital.

Wow, I loved this!! How quickly it wrapped me up in it's world! Time flew by! I hope you all the praise for this. I kinda want to know more about Connor's story.
I’ve been waiting for this film for so long! Absolutely astonishing work. From the characters to the backgrounds to the plot, everything about this film was flawless.
Thank you all for providing so much entertainment to me during my high school years. All of the music, how to, life videos, just talking about problems, etc. It has all been a great help to keep my mind off the horrible things that are happening on the outside. Can’t imagine what I would have done without you all there distracting. I wish I could repay you all but I am just a sad jobless teenager. But now, I’m going to college to hopefully train, get a real job, and then hopefully pay it all back; somehow. For now the best that I can do is just say thank you for now and know that I hope you never stop making awesome content. I hope that youtube doesn’t screw you over too much this day and age. Look forward to bringing your content along with me to college as well. And thank you once again for keeping my mind off all the horrible things that are happening these days. Really has kept me sane all these years. Thank you all sooo much!

I'm Scottish and still couldn't understand some of it. I think this is most of it though:
In the shop:
“Here, will you either buy something or fuck off”
“ You fuck off, you won't even sell me something”
“Oh, give us one of those will you”
“I'm not giving you that, now fuck off”
…...don’t know what's said here…….
“Ah, would you come on and give it to me. I swear on my mother's grave I'm 18. I won't tell anyone, like”
“Eh look man never mind about all that. I'm actually grand (good). See you later”
When they're next to the fire:
Don't know what's said first, but it's something along the lines of:
“I could've boxed the whole lot of them”
“You weren't going to give a box to the guard were you”
“You couldn't even reach him”
“I could. Like alright, I'll do him. Give him one of these”
“Right go on then, show us”
“I heard there's bare-knuckle boxing on later”
“Oh yeh, I wanna go watch”
?? “You can go .... some lad there later PJ”
“Yeah maybe I'll win (or will)”
“You wanna come Con”
“Jesus, what's the matter with you”
“Nothing”
“Your so ….? conner”
“Fuck off, I'm going home”
“Alright then”
Connor's Dad:
“And where the fuck do you think you’ve been?”
“Are you going to answer me?”
“Don't you fucking dare walk away from me”

Fight:
“This fellow's going next then”
“Connor”

Gorgeous. Amazing art style, and so much detail in the environment and facial expressions. FANTASTIC use of color palettes and mood lighting! Adding this to my playlist of favorite animated shorts right away.
First I would like to say that you are very talented and also very unrated.
Secondly I would like to hear everybody else feeling about this video and explain the theme of this video because personally I can't put my finger on it even though I know its has meeting and depth.

probably my favorite taw film so far, seems a bit rushed animation wise (like in some scenes the animation looks rough in a way thats not on purpose) but otherwise GREAT sound design, some really nice compositions like the scene where conor walks through the street and the lights turn on, plus a nicely paced story line. nothing groundbreaking but the aesthetic execution makes a good concept great. the open end fits very well too

Or maybe you just don't understand symbolism very well
@@MagnusHarvest The ending didn't strike me as very symbolic or meaningful, just kind of rushed and forced. It's like we're supposed to just forget the fact that the kid just abandoned his wounded friend, after he took a knife for him and that he still has to go home to an abusive, alcoholic father, or might even end up in jail soon. That touching moment with the horse doesn't rectify any of that.

@@MagnusHarvest Well, they didn't really convey that point very effectively. The video just kinda ended with no real compelling point or symbolism.
@@WILDMUSTANGX Well, The ending may be a little confusing, but really they ended it that way because it's up to the person to decide what's gonna happen next, or just stay curious about it. The moral is that some people don't often get the choice to be free, or at least that's what I understood.
