We had to watch this one, it was our first time out, it seems fastest with a bit of steering lock on, dead straight and it started to look like it might flip, a slight turn on and it ran like a rocket.
Now you mention it I notice it has. This was supposed to be stock boat. No intention to mislead. I think we could have gone 5-6mph faster with the batteries set farther back. SHould be doing a second run fairly soon so I'll check
@@DriftomaniacsRC I have tested two of them with stock props, and the best we saw was 48, and that was with 65C packs. Then after about 4 minutes the ESC let go in a big puff of smoke. They can run 50-52 with a sharpened and balanced prop, or a CNC prop, but not with the stock plastic prop. They usually run 45-46 like that with the recommended packs when trimmed properly.

The sonic wake is is the newer version of the proboat voracity, the newer version allows you to flip it back up up right if it flips upside down but I dont think it's faster than the spartan, the spartan in my opinion is a better choice, traxxas is always good to constomers I had my spartan motor rust up and dry, I went up to hobby town usa, explained to the guy what happened they called traxxas and the guy told them to give me a free motor from the store, make sure you maintenance the boat properly with oil and stuff
@@LordCornholio31 thanks for the advice mate, I've so far bought a TFL outerlimits, TFL pursuit, TFL rocket , miss geiko, volantex sr80 pro, thunder tiger atlantic I'm putting on 6s , TFL princess, TFL Cauldwell f1 , and a few others. Spartan is definitely a great boat and plenty of upgrades for it. Dam boats can't get enough of them, ha,ha,
Why this boat is not stable at full speed?? I got inception and 1000 times better than spartan! I don't now where come from is this price and for what you pay??
Not stable at full speed? I always find that when watching youtube after 6-8 drinks!!!! Iinception? What is that? is it an immaculate conception? We're totally lost! I don't know where you come from? If you don't speak english please type a message in your language and we'll get it translated (not sure you'll like our reply). But if you mean you don't know who makes it and what price is it the google 'Traxxas Spartan'. You mention you've an inception (as above we're all clueless as to what that is, so is anyone reading your post) and it's 1000 times better. Can you do a video listing all on those 1000 points? Happy to share that video when you make it.
I would guess so but the spartan mainly made of plastic with GRP reenforcing where it matters. You'd lose the warranty the minute you swapped the gear over. Also it'd be cheaper to buy the parts on their own and put them in a new boat than it would to by the boat and scrap it
If you want something else, purchase something else. Many great fiberglass offerings from TFL MHZ, Aquacraft etc. I'd even go as far as say that the Proboat offerings like the Sonic Wake 36 is a much better boat. It's still a plastic boat, but it runs fast and it handles well for what it is. And it even has self-right which is a nice feature. I've seen them run close to 70 with the stock power and a good prop.
You should write to traxxas and recommend that. Traxxas recommend these packs and they don't sell any packs with a higher C rating than 25! Even the new 8S X-maxx only has 25C packs. If you wanted to run 50C's on it you'd have to use another battery supplier. But agreed a higher C rating would help although this is quick on these packs and they last a good while
Boats draw alot of amps especially when getting upto plane plus that is a large boat i use 50-90c on my pro boats turnigys from hobbyking also much cheaper than traxxas lipos happy boating

I can't for the life of me not understand why people buy this when one can get a race proven champion winning design from TFL for the same or less that outperforms this thing by a country mile.
@@AB-80X They are Sexy,I have two hulls that I painted orange&black and lots of rainbo micro flake,named them Miss Canada&Black panther with lots of stickers.I just love them,can't wait till summer again

What is the run time on a 1400 MAH on the Traxxas spartan or a Traxxas Hoss 4 x 4 or a Traxxas stampede 4 x 4
That’s too small of a battery for any of these vehicles

Totally stock however someone pointed out it has an aftermarket prop, the shop had this in on part exchange so I'd not spotted that.
