Follow up videos should be very interesting. I've got the chine walking and the water in the bilges too. I'd like to buy the upgrades set, but as a beginner, I'm a bit vague on how to fit the various parts. Thank you for sharing.
Yes ill definately be doing videos on the upgrades after i run out of ideas with the stock stuff

Everybody should own at least 1 spartan in their life, the challenge of getting them dialled in is part of the appeal
@RCBoatBitz I just ordered a few things from you last night, dual sponson kit & the rudder. I'm doing some outside the box testing messing with adding Aero to the nose to push it down at high speed (created another RUclips channel just for it)
@@h2omechanic yes wings work on boats, i used to play around with that myself many years ago, they start to work from around 60kph, share the channel name so i can watch

Great video dude, super informative trim tabs will be the first thing I sort out on my boat, then steering left turn is shocking 😂 then full motor and esc swap for more speed but so far loving the boat
Id probably put a better prop on before going to the expense of upgrading the electrics

I have your twin water pickup and it works great. I put mine on a cat for racing . My spartan cuts out at full throttle and I use good batteries with a high c rating and from what I have read you cant change the LVC.I might just change the motor and speed control to something I can tweak.
Prop too large maybe?

I have a Enforcer Super Gator boat for 15 years. It is not a toy.
I just bought a Spartan SR. Trailer too. Will see. The Super Gator is made out of fiberglass and have driven it in Lake Huron in 2 foot waves..
I would buy the hull and run everything rcbb. Was going to buy a used one but got another pursuit to fix up. Love my pursuits .
Pursuits are just such a good hull, its just a pity tfl doesnt package them like something a beginner would buy in a nice box and make them more rtr rather than needing to attach rudders and such
I race my pursuit in our local club on 4s and it blows the doors off my spartan on 6s. but it has some nice gear and that makes the difference.put a tenshock motor in itand it goes pretty good.

I have a spartan with a leopard 4082 and seaking 180 esc, very hard to get this boat past 65 and stay stable lol
i would think more like impossible! hull is just too light
@@RCBoatBitz haha you’re telling me!! I’m almost tempted to add some weight down in the bottom of hull and see if that would stabilize it more. What’s your opinion on adding some weight??
@@jaycevessier7554 at those speeds theres no other way to keep it in the water than add weight as youve found out

@@h2omechanic you wanna add total weight though. So you’d want same weight front and rear
I have that exact same boat, including the color. I’ll order it all those upgraded pieces from you about a month ago, it performs as well. 👍🏾👍🏾

its a plastic boat, not a great design, and basically overpowered for what it is. this is what folks buy who just want to go bash and dont know theres better options honestly. not bashing traxxas, but boats arent their thing
