Honestly no, there may be an issue w your monitor. The black and darkness is uniform across my entire screen. I would call lg and see if they would replace it. It should Def not be like that.

it is not actually, the colors are also not as good as gamer 1. the white is most accurate in gamer 1 mode at 6500k. which is another reason why i focused on fixing gamer 1. i also just uploaded a video on how to fix the issue w brightness. it took me a while of messing w it but it is fixed now.
Im thinking about pulling the trigger and getting this. 799€ right now.
i like it and think its worth it for sure. its plenty bright for me. i got mine on a good sale as well. and im happy.
Did you noticed that the corners of the screen are a bit darker than the center of the screen? Or maybe its just my model or my imagination

is gamer 2 mode brighter than 1? das mode is pretty imprortant i agree with you but a deal breaker if you cant work with it
