    👍 Why? Just turned 50 and been dealing with some personal grief. But it’s time to get back on track, so I can feel fit and ready for the next adventure.

    This is the part of the Bond lifestyle you don't get to ignore! My why is to maintain my body like one of my old gas-guzzling cars - so I can still be vibrant and virile despite the high mileage and the low beer MPG I get!

    I did the Bond 25 fitness challenge in 2022. My wedding was approaching and I just wanted to feel better about myself in pictures. I ended up losing 30 pounds and it has completely changed my relationship to food and fitness. That then led to me putting more effort into my clothes and appearance, and the Bond lifestyle starts to take over

    I love this! Already 4 months consistent with workout in the gym. People look at me totally different! Recently had my first Tv Show role and people loved me, so i will get more. Also applying for Bond 26 movie ! For those interested to be an extra or take any part in it, hit me up. I want to create a group of extras for BOND 26! You gotta be in shape 😉

    Why? 36, recently married, starting my own family soon, new job at a new company, upcoming home renovation, weighed down by too much anxiety and I want to be in the very best shape of my life mentally and physically.

    Walk 10k at least a day, Keto diet and 3 times a week full body kettlebell workouts is what keeps me at my physical best.

    My “Why” is simple. I’m getting married next year and I want to be in the best shape possible for my family, my future wife, and for those tuxedo pictures I’ll have for a lifetime!

    In 2019 I began to lose weight for health reasons. At 53 I felt I had dodged all of the pitfalls of being obese and older and that it might catch up to me if I didn't take action. I lost from 275 lbs to 210 lbs. I discovered David's channel because I wanted to reward myself with some cool clothes that I had seen in the 007 films but never felt personally would look good on a heavier person....except I bought them in a smaller size anticipating getting to my goal weight of 175 Lbs..Then COVID!!! As hard as I tried I could not lose any more and even gained some back...and with a couple of family deaths gave up and hit 10 or 15 lbs over what I had lost hitting around 225 lbs. Here we are in 2024 and I am organizing my 40th High School reunion. The why? to finally be able to fit into my N Peal and Sunspel pieces that have been on my shelf unopened since 2020...to walk into my reunion -fit and stylish and in better shape than I was my senior year...and to be healthy as I get older..and maintain it. I began my Bond Fitness reboot in late February and so far so good. I particularly am doing the ab exercises that David did in the early days. September will be the first goal date for the reunion....then a few weeks later a vacation to Florida with hopefully a flat tummy and nice arms and chest....and then Christmas in all of the cashmere sweaters. I will keep you up to date.

      Nice work man! Buying the clothes you want to wear before hand is a smart idea. The Japanese say the thousand mile road begins with the first step. Keep stepping forward.

      @@stanleydangerfreak2325 I actually saw a n article about fitness that said...Never buy clothes to fit into later...and throw away old clothes that you hope to wear again. I have a 1991 Armani suit that I have kept in my closet all these years.....there is a chance I will actually fit into it by the fall.......but yes....Just for money reasons I need to get in shape to fit into my Bond Jackets.

    I was in shape most of my life until now. Less exercise, worse food, etc. Time to get it back!

    I want to put on weight and some muscle, as I’m about 40 pounds underweight and have a hard time keeping it on. I exercise and eat pretty healthy, but there are always ways to improve and I’m excited to see what I can do better.

    This is brilliant thank you David! I love the idea of rather than just a one-off video, an overarching arc for the year coming back to this topic. Just when you released the fasting video I was on my second day of a fast so the timing was great for me and it's really motivating to feel I'm not doing these things on my own. My why is to be the best 85/90yr old I can be!

      Yes I think also mind hacks from the experts you will be interviewing will be good. Us Agents know what to eat and how to exercise. It’s the WHY, yes but a few HOWs of staying the course when tempted. I.e. avoiding social interactions where alcohol is going to flow too much, what to focus on when healthy dinner is in 2 hours, you haven’t eaten all day and you know McDonalds is coming up in 2 blocks time.
      Systems help a lot too like:
      Stretching in front of the TV, alarms
      To drink water, using my fitness pal app to track calories. Using fitness watches to monitor HR, keeping the cardio out of abs and lower back training by iso-tension, 21 pushups and squats before each shower, no food after 7pm etc

    Why? because I've been fighting unsuccessfully to get back into shape for the better part of 2 decades and i've only just started to see movement. A change of lifestyle and mindset as been the kicker and I need things like this to keep me on track because I don't have a local support group with aligned goals. Thank you.

    Thanks for the top shelf videos as always!
    My “why”: I’m 46 years old. I’ve slimmed down to the point of most abs showing-but there’s always room to improve regardless where you are in life! By the end of the year I have a goal of being able to perform an inverted push-up using parallette bars. It may be something of lofty goal-but better aim too high than too low🙂

    My ‘why’ is because I want to get as close as I can to Craig’s body as we see him emerge from the ocean in Casino. This may seem like a trivial, superficial, even immature motivation at first, but it’s far from it. Bond has always been a great example of ‘how to be’, right? The body is not the only goal. That’s the result - a reflection - of hard work, discipline and determination, and I want to be an individual who can pride myself on my discipline and my will to be a better version of myself. Being the best that you can be is kind of everything, and if I’m fit, healthy, confident in myself and my abilities, and altogether satisfied with my efforts and disciplines in life… I win!

    My Why would be to not exceed a 32 inch waist trouser width...not to exceed 10.5 stone. Finally to remain in the green where my BMI number is concerned.🍸

    Im back in. I have a genetic medical issue I was unaware of and ended up with an unplanned (lol) quad bypass. 57. Want to live longer and look better than all my friends and my friends husbands

    Why 32 soon to be 33 year old I want to feel great, and look fantastic fit in my mix of bond/indiana jones/ doctor who/ star wars fits, have a cruise and a trip to disney world coming up

    Thanks for the pep talk, David. it inspired me to pause your video and go and do my hyperbolic stretching to ensure I’m keeping my 54 year old body more supple than the average person. Back to finish the video now though 😊.

    This is the perfect video and challenge for me right now. Last year, I got the diet aspect down and lost 60 lbs; more importantly, I have kept the fat away. However, I have neglected my exercise due to my schedule. This coincides with me falling back in love woth the Bond films and the character. I am down for this challenge! Let's do this!     Let's all do it all get Bond fit. Seriously folks, getting moving everyday, lay off the sugars and processed foods as it makes a huge difference and, for the young cats scoffing, it. really will make you look 40 when you reach 50 not mention the ultimate Bond fitness reason being able to perform with your Bond ladies!!

    Why? I don’t want to die early of a heart attack like most of the men on both sides of my family.
    My motivation is when I look at my son and I want to be there for him for as long as I can (also I want to look great when I wear my John Smedley polo. That’s the vanity part!).

    Why I want to be able to feel better about myself, sleep better, be less sluggish and more active.
    Nutrition I want to stop eating out fast food so much. I have stopped drinking soda for over a year and chips for almost a year now. Want to eat better and help my ibs too.
    Motivation is to be a better person and move better in my daily activities and job.
    I also want to get a better sleep 🛌 schedule.

    A small dose of vanity is always helpful to stay disciplined. 😁 I'd say that what you eat is 80% of the equation to stay in shape. I started keto 25 years ago and I've basically been in the same shape since then. I do allow myself to go off keto every now and then but always go back for life in general. Have played drums all my life and that also helps to stay in shape. People who see me eat can't believe I'm in this shape cause I love food and eat lots of full fat products. Diet products are not allowed!

    Why? I've done a lot of refocusing for 3 years, about losing my weight. Changed my diet, worked out, moved more. But I think I reached a plateau, and need to get better and start losing more weight. I feel pretty good, but want to feel great!

    Why? Because I'm 48 and I promised myself as a young man that I wouldn't get a middle-aged spread. I'm at a desk most of the time at work so I cycle to work everyday whatever the weather. I do 15 minutes of Wim Hof breathing every morning then a shower that starts hot and ends ice cold. However, I would like more muscle, so I'm doing just the weights section for week one of Simon Watersons Intelligent Fitness Challenge (Thanks David for your review on that). Nothing mental, just three days a week so I don't over do it, but it's something.
    I'm not fitness mad, but David has really helped to inspire my fitness. Today I didn't feel like doing the workout, but then I saw this and just got it done.
    So, get your Bond Fitness playlist together and take the first step to a fitter, more energised you.

    Been very sedate for nearly 3 months and not in the best shape, I'm just getting over a fractured hip and two torn ligaments (slipped on some oil getting out of the car at my local carpark, practically done the splits), only been able to walk short distances for the last week while not being able to walk at all for just over 2 months beforehand. Getting to the point where I can start some light upper body exercises probably be another two weeks (after a check with the doctor) before using the treadmill for some light leg exercise. Vids like this get me very motivated to get going but reality, I really shouldn't push it, its been a long recovery mostly lying on the bed getting flabby, can't wait to get going.

    Why? My midsection and handles are the final frontier. If I can get those down, then I’ve accomplished something special and my polo shirts will fit that much better.
    Nutrition? Carbs and sugars are my “fatal weakness.”
    Fitness: I do heavy workouts three days a week (off days are for light jogs and long walks)
    Inspiration: I’ve gotta a Blue Paul Smith tuxedo that I want to wear comfortably for my Wedding Anniversary in a November!
    I’m in!

    Love this community. David, thank you for providing all of us with a safe place to geek out on all things Bond, including Bond Fitness.
    My "why" is to be the best version of me that I can be. If 55 or 60 is the new 40, then I want to extend my window as far as I can! And ultimately, I want to avoid the healthcare pitfalls that come with aging with physical and mental fitness.
    Timing couldn't be better... I recently joined a Boot Camp program so I am ready to push the limits. I am looking forward to motivation from others re: nutrition since that is a weakness of mine.
    Let's do this!

    I'm going to give this a shot in the month of May. I'm not that far over my goal weight and am in pretty good shape in general. But I do have health reasons to do better (my why) and have a Hawaiian cruise coming up at the end of May (some motivation). May see if my son will participate too!

    Dear David, How are you? As an Entrepreneur, Husband, Father of two and 47 years into the flight, I can 100% confirm 😎✌🏻 Cheers, Tim P.S. #BondFitnessChallenge accepted, I invented a new Split for my Bodybuilding training and have 3 Kilos left to erase until having reached my goal. These days I am trying to look lean while having as much muscle as possible. The modern Action hero look, if you will. A bit like your Craig style 😎 Without drugs, years ago, I tried the bulkier look but gained too much fat. Plus, my perception of a good look has changed in the course of the years.

      Why? I look bad in a suit when I’m fat. I’m off 2 blood pressure meds so far. Want energy for my wife and kids. It’s unmasculine to be fat.

    Why. Blood pressure 160 over 100 cholesterol 8.7 borderline diabetic. Arthritis. Family history of heart problems. Last time to get this done. So I'm going to not try buy lose 30 pounds in May. Do or do not there is no try. I'm logging this in abook with mental health nd daily thoughts and things I have learned and plans

    Eat real food, don't over consume, challenge yourself physically with something you enjoy and that causes you to break a sweat (sex counts,) fast sometimes and have your martini on the weekend. Above all, don't overthink. I go to extremes and wind up hating whatever it is I'm doing. Improve diet? ZERO CARB! Get in shape? START A BODYBUILDER ROUTINE! No more of that nonsense. Improve yourself, but make sure that you're also happy😁

    Because the belly is creeping back.
    Because I want my black belt in judo, and if gradings are split according to weight (it depends on how many people there are), I’d like to fight lighter people!

    Why? Plan on dumping the wife and getting a newer model.... she's fairly safe though cos I'm typing this one handed whilst downing a second real ale of the day.... it's just after 5pm on a Thursday!!!
