I believe they have now upgraded the M5 to include a timer, but the model I have does not have a timer. And it sounds like they have stopped including the 27mm flange then. Thanks for the info that's helpful 😊
Video correction: I mentioned the standard flange design is 180 degrees. Please note that this should have been 90 degrees. Apoligies for any confusion!
So glad it could help! I do really love the M5 for it's 105 degree flange and vibration mode. Both are great pumps though :) Also if it helps, you can get 15% off your pump when you use my code PUMPINGMILK at momcozy.com (#ad)
I love watching your videos. I really really want this M6. I wish they were a little more affordable. I hope I can be a proud owner of the is new pump. I recently purchased the Lumbi and have used it twice so far, it has defective silicone near the pour spout. Almost looks cracked. & apparently the pumps are no longer available to exchange or purchase a new one. I am a bit concerned as my milk supply is dwindling, need to get a nice pump asap. My daughter needs the milk and I want to make sure she gets it rather than formula. Thank you for your informative videos! I love hearing your reviews.
Oh you are too kind! Thank you for the lovely feedback 💖 I really do love this new Momcozy pump too! In terms of your Lumbi pump, that sounds very disappointing 😞 I do know they have been constantly selling out, but if it is faulty I'd expect a replacement as priority. If you haven't already try reach them on their fb page facebook.com/lumbifamily?mibextid=ZbWKwL Hopefully you can get it all sorted asap 😊
Thank you for the the tip, I appreciate the information! 😊 would you be able to show a comparison of what both of these pumps pour like? After done pumping what do they look like when they pour? Are they both the same? One thing I noticed with the Lumbi is the defective pour spout, one side milk didn’t pour out smoothly- had to force it with my hand and fingers, which caused some milk to spill out rather than a smooth pour. Can you maybe fill them with water or milk to show what they pour like? Hope that doesn’t sound like a weird question. I’d like to see that before I spend $130 on the new Momcozy pump

I think the momcozy 5 is suppose to stand on the flat side… I have a generic one and I set it on its flat side.. it doesn’t leak usually but I have come across that some milk has came back a few times cause I set it down for about 30 min but it’s not too bad I’m still able to get it in a bottle:)
Thank you for making the comparison video so promptly! Just a question how do we find out whether we will be more suitable for the 105deg or the 180deg flange u were talking about? I have normal spectra flange, phanpy wearable and pumpables liquidshield for comparison.
I'm so sorry I said 180 degrees, but it should have been 90 degrees 🫣 The spectra flange is the standard 90 degrees flange design. I'm not familiar with the Phanpy but they appear to have a 112 degree angle. Here is a link to a study that was done on the 2 different designs: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7687096/ Hope that helps 😊
I think the M5 with its silicone flange is better for elastic nipples as it provides a little more resistance. With the hard plastic flange of the Mobile Style there is less resistance so the elastic tissue, the nipple and/or areola may be pulled too far down the tunnel, narrowing the milk ducts and closing off the flow of milk.
I’m stuck between these two. How much does the vibration on the m5 help? I’m a first time mom so I have no idea which pump to get. If there was one you would recommend out of all the mom cozy’s which one would you recommend?
It's a hard choice! Many find the vibrations help, but for some they don't. I think the M6 is easier to use and the extended battery life is a big plus for me. I'd also recommend checking out the new V1 Pro if you don't mind the tubing. I am really loving this pump as it really gives you a ton of control over your pumping experience which can be really awesome if you are not yet sure what your body best responds to. They can, as long as you have the correct nipple size and a secure nursing bra to help with the fit. The wearable pumps tend to offer limited larger nipple sizes, but the M5 does have a 27mm available. I also prefer the soft silicone of the M5 for larger breasts as it can help get a better seal.
I think both are great pumps. I really do love the design of the Mobile Style, but if price is a big factor and if you don't need the extra battery life, then I think the M5 is better value, especially with its vibration with mixed mode and 105 degree flange. If price wasn't your main factor, I'd go with the Mobile Style.

I have a hard time aiming the nip into the flange. Would you say placing it on the breast is easy or difficult?
Do you mean you have a hard time putting the pump together? It is pretty straight forward to line it up on your breast.
Lining up the nipple into the flange. I have a very small nip size (13/15 mm) so I wondered if it’s hard to aim if you can’t see the nipple in the flange
You can try squeezing your breast at the base, to give you more control and to help position it better :)
@@pumpingmilk thanks!
Do they both connect to the app?
Great question. Unfortunately, neither of them do. Only the M9 connects to the app at the moment.
How loud is the difference?

What keeps the M6 from leaking ? I don’t see a seal around the edge of it?
It clicks into place and also has an inner silicone lip, which helps create the seal.
