Hi so I just got one of these pumps and started using it Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning I was able to get 8oz out all together in the half hour. Now when I use it I barely get anything out for each breast. I only pump a total of 3oz now with this pump. I have another pump I use that’s not portable and I’m able to get more out. Was wondering if you could give me tips on how to get this to work great like the first time I used it?
Was that 8oz pump your morning pump? I can be normal to get different amounts at different times of the day. I'd say try turning it up a bit and pumping longer and see if that helps. I have noticed that a freshly charge pump is a little stronger so if it's not freshly charged you may need to turn it up some.
this happened to me to N i was pumping in the morning i usually get 2oz-1oz in the morning after nursing N now i get lil ML to nothing N then i pump with my pump in style pump, N it pulls everything out
Hm I just used the Momcozy inserts. It does come with 17 inserts. I would think you could use your 13s from your M1 with the M5 but I couldn’t say for sure.

I got the baby Buddha to use with my second. I am finding that my good old spectra S1 gives me more output after 30 mins. I’ve tried to hack it to use spectra flanges with the baby Buddha but no luck. The only difference I can think of is the vibration with S1. Do you think vibration on the M5 is comparable? I have a Medela and Spectra for pumping however I have lost a lot of supply. I ordered the S12pro but noticed in your comments and videos you say s12pro is good for over producers. Which pump would be better for someone who wants to increase milk supply by pumping frequently but not to be teethered? I wouldn't be pumping in public necessarily so I don't need to be extremely discreet. Should I purchase the M5 and return the s12pro?
I think either could be used for increasing milk supply. The s12 pro can hold a lot of milk so that’s why I mentioned it’s good for oversupplies. I think the suction on the s12 pro ia a little stronger too compared to the M5 but that being said I’ve never had to go near max suction on either. If you don’t need to be discrete I think you may like the S12 pro more (I do ha). If you’re going to be pumping multiple times a day you might like doing the fridge hack with it - put your washable parts in the fridge between pumps and wash them once at the end of the day.

I have the M5 and have been using it as my primary pump. I have been trying to increase my supply and I was oblivious that I was using combo mode this whole time!! Madison, I’ve been using the M5 for about a month now with no issues. Recently my right sided pump, (I don’t keep track which I put where so they alternate in sure) has been getting little to no output. I don’t feel or barely feel any tugging on that side now. I am very frustrated as I don’t understand why it’s not working. I have disassembled and reassembled parts and even switched parts but still having the same problem. Ideas?
Hmm sounds like something is deff off. And you're not getting as much output on just the side with the loud motor? I'd go ahead and reach out to Momcozy about being sent a replacement.
i was debating on getting the elvie stride, but i've seen a lot more negatives. Over time of using the mom cozy, have you experiened any issues? I'm also debating between the s12 pro and m5, but am leaning towards the m5. I'm getting a spectra S2 for my main "hospital grade pump" but want something portable!!!
I've loved the Momcozys! The original S12 and S9 models can start to leak over time with the flange seals getting weak but they seem to have fixed that with the pro version's double seals. You do have to make sure you put on those double seals correctly though. The M5s are great the only thing is they only go up to 5oz so maybe plan on using your spectra for your morning or overnight pump when you'd have a lot of milk.

Yay! I think you’ll love it! Yes you can hear milk dripping at first if the room is very quiet. You can check your output by looking down your shirt and angling your head a bit. You can can use the massager with it!

The M5s do have a slight vibration to their pull which some women notice a difference with but I personally find to be pretty similar to the s12 pro. Have you tried tacking on a couple minutes to your pump when you’re using wearables? That does the trick for me.

I just felt like the stimulation mode on my s12 pros felt funny ( like almost as if tiny little hands were slapping my nips 😅 🤣) and I really loved them so much so it was a real bummer, because the suction was awesome!

I like both. The Willow Go is super high quality but you can't really do the fridge hack with it. The M5 is nice because you don't have to get your phone out an use an app. I don't really mind the heaviness of either but I'm only a D cup.
For pumping at work, giving weight to ability to empty the breast/use as a primary pump, would you go with the M5 or the V2? Do you think these can be used as primaries? Thank you in advance.

Hi, i watched your video when deciding on a pump qnd went with the momcozy m5. However i tried to use it first time and it went horribly wrong! I really tried to get my nipple centred but its not as easy as simoly rolling it on because you still have to have the proportion correct. Eo you have any further tips on centring the nipple? Its so difficult to see from the top
You can kinda pancake the boob with one hand and then place it on with the nipple in the center with the other hand. Then pull up your nursing bra and it should stay all set in there.

Hi! I have the M5 and was wondering, do you rinse your pump before putting it in the fridge? Or should I just place the cover on each and put it directly into the fridge, without rinsing. Thank you!!! :)
I’ve heard so much back and forth on this! I did it but I would ask your pediatrician what they think with your specific baby’s situation. Ex: it might not be a good idea for premature babies
Some women do report lower output with wearables. I personally have the same output with wearables and traditional pumps - I just have to pump a little longer with wearables. If you are using your M5 after nursing to make a stash or increase your supply, you should be fine. If you're using it to exclusively pump, I would pump some with a traditional pump too to make sure you are responding ok to the wearable. Did a lactation consultant advise you to be pumping already? Typically we wait a couple weeks before starting to pump to let the milk supply regulate on its own. Pumping too much after birth can create an uncomfortable oversupply.
Hi Madison! I’ve watched all your videos over and over again and you’ve convinced me to get the M5 pump. I received my pump a few weeks ago and just unboxed it last night so I could learn how to use it prior to going back to work. While unboxing and following sterilization instructions, I discovered that one of the chargeable part was defective. The seal on the chargeable part was torn. I’ve reached out to customer service with proof of photos and called and spoke to a rep. I’ve not heard back from the company and was wondering if you’ve ever had any issues with the company getting back to you or anyone… They rep that I spoke to stated I could used and try out the pump if it works as item will not be returnable anyway. I did try using the defective one and due to the tear, it did not operate at all. Is there any possible way to have customer service reach out sooner? All I have is a manual pump and I’m highly in need of a replacement or a refund so I could buy another brand if the company refuses to get back to me.

Ah they’re pretty similar in a lot of ways! The M5 has that massage mode and comes with the bags so I’d probably say that. If the auto mode switch is important to you then the Zomee though! It never bothers me manually switching it.

The M5 is easier to do the fridge hack with, comes with a nice bag and flange covers, and doesn't require an app. The Willow Go holds more milk and it's replaceable parts seem to last a little longer.

I use a 28mm flange on my Spectra. The Momcozy website says the S12 pro flange for 27mm is the same as its 24mm. Do you know if the M5's 24mm flange will be suitable for me to use in that case? I'd really love to buy the M5 as a FTM but the flange size is holding me back!

I don't know which platform Madison suggested us to buy from, but I bought mine from Amazon AU and they shipped it with no issues. When one of my motors stopped working, I also managed to get Amazon to give me a full refund. But you're right, they didn't give me a way to contact the seller directly about a replacement part. My product was shipped from Hong Kong as well. When the motors were working, the pump was quite helpful though.
Hm hurts the boob or the nipple? I’m wondering if u need to use and insert or a smaller insert. If it is pulling the any more than just the nipple in that could case pain
The M5 is more discrete and comes with the extras like the bag and flange cover but the S12 pro can hold more milk and I personally like that one better for doing the fridge hack all day. The S12 pro is my go to but I really like the M5 too. Hope that helps!

Thank you for the video. I got this pump. I'm not an overproducer at all and i actually am pron to clogged ducts. This pump doesn't empty my breast and when i use my spectra afterwards i get a good extra ounce. The issue that you mentioned about one boob pumping and the other not is happenings to me. I checked the center. Removed and placed the boob 3 or 4 times with no success. I wonder if i should use different flanges per side. What do you think? Also, I have a very elastic nipple. Do you think that that could interfere with the suction?
Hm so one is pumping well and the other isn’t? Is that one pump consistently not pumping as well? I’d maybe put a sharpie mark on it to see if it really could be a motor issue on that one pump. Also check all your parts on it. The diaphragm being distorted is another sneaky way that suction could not be happening. I have heard of people needing different sized inserts on pumps so that could be an idea to try if you measure and they are different sizes.

Soooo they both work well. The M5 is a little more discrete. The S12 pro holds more milk and the battery lasts longer. The S12 pro is also a bit stronger at it's max. Depends what's more important to you!
@@se7vibez798 hm I'd maybe look at your settings and your suction. Potentially turn it up a bit and also make sure you have a nice suction to your boob with no room for air to leak out if that makes sense. Make sure the pump is placed directly on the boob and not slanted. Try holding it in place for a minute or so when you first start pumping and wear a snug but stretchy nursing bra.
Sorry this might be a silly question but this is going to be my first time pumping and I bought the m5. Where do you insert the flange inserts on the pump? The ones specific to your nipple size.
I’m a first time mom and o just tried pumping with this pump and the milk was collecting in the flange area when I pulled the pump out it all came poring out the flange part instead of the container.. what could I be doing wrong?
They advertise suction like a baby nursing. Is that true? I hate pumping and it always affects my volume. I feel like if this has a baby like suction, I might consider buying.
so it does have a vibration feature that can generate a quicker letdown and potentially make you pump quicker. It is quite strong too when turned up. No pump will give you the emotional connection you get from nursing your baby though. Looking at baby pics and even snuggling a piece of their clothing while pumping can help you get a little of that!
The original S12 is deff the strongest but ppl had issues with it leaking after a lot of use. They do sell some leak protectors on Etsy though. The M5 and S12 pro are pretty strong too and have that double sealed flange so they’re not likely to leak as long as you put it together correctly.
I got mine & it smells so strong of that plastic smell. I’ve washed over 4x with soapy water & boil & I can’t seem to get rid of the smell. Any suggestions???
Both of them aren’t? Are you sure you’re using the wrong charger? One time I got my charger mixed up with a charger from something else and it said it was charging but actually wasn’t.
Everything but the motor can be replaced. I’d replace the duckbill the most - every other month or so depending on use. You may want to do your flange and other parts if they become damaged or your having random leaking after months of use.

Super helpful video! Can u tell me what tasks you have done while wearing them? Ex: doing the dishes, Goulding laundry, etc..? Trying to decide if I really need it or not 😩
I mainly use them when in the passenger seat of the car, walking around the house, on the computer ext. You have pretty good movement with them but you can’t lean too far forward or back or you could leak. So you’d need to bend with your knees not your chest if doing laundry or dishes
Just a tip. The MomCozy5 manual clearly states to not use the dishwasher. Should be boiled :)

This pump actually vibrates slightly! The s12 pro doesn't have that feature but I honestly haven't noticed it to make much of a difference for me.

Yes! I think it would work well for that. Just be careful not to bend over too much. Bend with the knees if you need to bend.

i was debating on getting the elvie stride, but i've seen a lot more negatives. Over time of using the mom cozy, have you experiened any issues? I'm also debating between the s12 pro and m5, but am leaning towards the m5. I'm getting a spectra S2 for my main "hospital grade pump" but want something portable!!!
I've loved the Momcozys! The original S12 and S9 models can start to leak over time with the flange seals getting weak but they seem to have fixed that with the pro version's double seals. You do have to make sure you put on those double seals correctly though. The M5s are great the only thing is they only go up to 5oz so maybe plan on using your spectra for your morning or overnight pump when you'd have a lot of milk.

Yay! I think you’ll love it! Yes you can hear milk dripping at first if the room is very quiet. You can check your output by looking down your shirt and angling your head a bit. You can can use the massager with it!

The M5s do have a slight vibration to their pull which some women notice a difference with but I personally find to be pretty similar to the s12 pro. Have you tried tacking on a couple minutes to your pump when you’re using wearables? That does the trick for me.

I just felt like the stimulation mode on my s12 pros felt funny ( like almost as if tiny little hands were slapping my nips 😅 🤣) and I really loved them so much so it was a real bummer, because the suction was awesome!

Are them 5lbs compatible with pumpin pals inserts and duckbills? Or do you need to replace the whole set up when you need new duckbills/inserts?
I think they would work with those inserts because the inserts it comes with are regular shaped and not slanted like the flange

I like both. The Willow Go is super high quality but you can't really do the fridge hack with it. The M5 is nice because you don't have to get your phone out an use an app. I don't really mind the heaviness of either but I'm only a D cup.

I think I would do the V2 if you're going to use it as a primary. I'm worried one of the M5 motors could burn out on you after that much use.

The Momcozy M5. The Willow 3.0 is great but there’s just a lot more troubleshooting. The M5 is much easier to use.
Hi, i watched your video when deciding on a pump qnd went with the momcozy m5. However i tried to use it first time and it went horribly wrong! I really tried to get my nipple centred but its not as easy as simoly rolling it on because you still have to have the proportion correct. Eo you have any further tips on centring the nipple? Its so difficult to see from the top
You can kinda pancake the boob with one hand and then place it on with the nipple in the center with the other hand. Then pull up your nursing bra and it should stay all set in there.

Hi I’m currently using this pump 1 week postpartum. Would you say it’s a good idea to increase my supply or do I need something else?
Some women do report lower output with wearables. I personally have the same output with wearables and traditional pumps - I just have to pump a little longer with wearables. If you are using your M5 after nursing to make a stash or increase your supply, you should be fine. If you're using it to exclusively pump, I would pump some with a traditional pump too to make sure you are responding ok to the wearable. Did a lactation consultant advise you to be pumping already? Typically we wait a couple weeks before starting to pump to let the milk supply regulate on its own. Pumping too much after birth can create an uncomfortable oversupply.

I’ve watched all your videos over and over again and you’ve convinced me to get the M5 pump. I received my pump a few weeks ago and just unboxed it last night so I could learn how to use it prior to going back to work. While unboxing and following sterilization instructions, I discovered that one of the chargeable part was defective. The seal on the chargeable part was torn. I’ve reached out to customer service with proof of photos and called and spoke to a rep. I’ve not heard back from the company and was wondering if you’ve ever had any issues with the company getting back to you or anyone…
They rep that I spoke to stated I could used and try out the pump if it works as item will not be returnable anyway. I did try using the defective one and due to the tear, it did not operate at all. Is there any possible way to have customer service reach out sooner? All I have is a manual pump and I’m highly in need of a replacement or a refund so I could buy another brand if the company refuses to get back to me.

Ah they’re pretty similar in a lot of ways! The M5 has that massage mode and comes with the bags so I’d probably say that. If the auto mode switch is important to you then the Zomee though! It never bothers me manually switching it.

I use a 28mm flange on my Spectra. The Momcozy website says the S12 pro flange for 27mm is the same as its 24mm. Do you know if the M5's 24mm flange will be suitable for me to use in that case? I'd really love to buy the M5 as a FTM but the flange size is holding me back!
I’m not sure exactly but the M5s come with inserts down to 17 so you should be covered!

I don't know which platform Madison suggested us to buy from, but I bought mine from Amazon AU and they shipped it with no issues. When one of my motors stopped working, I also managed to get Amazon to give me a full refund. But you're right, they didn't give me a way to contact the seller directly about a replacement part. My product was shipped from Hong Kong as well.
When the motors were working, the pump was quite helpful though.

The M5 is more discrete and comes with the extras like the bag and flange cover but the S12 pro can hold more milk and I personally like that one better for doing the fridge hack all day. The S12 pro is my go to but I really like the M5 too. Hope that helps!

Thanks... My wife pre-pregnancy was 95 pounds. I assume she will buy a larger bra or bras so she can wear the pump? Also, is it comfortable to hold on with the hand instead of placing it inside a bra?
Most nursing bras will be stretchy enough to put these in. Holding it would get pretty tiresome so I’d wear them with nursing bras or sports bras

I got this pump. I'm not an overproducer at all and i actually am pron to clogged ducts. This pump doesn't empty my breast and when i use my spectra afterwards i get a good extra ounce.
The issue that you mentioned about one boob pumping and the other not is happenings to me. I checked the center. Removed and placed the boob 3 or 4 times with no success.
I wonder if i should use different flanges per side. What do you think?
Also, I have a very elastic nipple. Do you think that that could interfere with the suction?
Hm so one is pumping well and the other isn’t? Is that one pump consistently not pumping as well? I’d maybe put a sharpie mark on it to see if it really could be a motor issue on that one pump. Also check all your parts on it. The diaphragm being distorted is another sneaky way that suction could not be happening. I have heard of people needing different sized inserts on pumps so that could be an idea to try if you measure and they are different sizes.

The Elvie stride works well but it can be nice to be totally tube free like with the momcozys! My favorite momcozy is the S12 pro

Soooo they both work well. The M5 is a little more discrete. The S12 pro holds more milk and the battery lasts longer. The S12 pro is also a bit stronger at it's max. Depends what's more important to you!
Any tips on how to get it to empty enough milk out? I get only 1oz with them my other wall pumps I get 2-5 oz
@@se7vibez798 hm I'd maybe look at your settings and your suction. Potentially turn it up a bit and also make sure you have a nice suction to your boob with no room for air to leak out if that makes sense. Make sure the pump is placed directly on the boob and not slanted. Try holding it in place for a minute or so when you first start pumping and wear a snug but stretchy nursing bra.

You just put the inserts right in the middle of the flange ❤️. They shoot fit nice and smooth in there.

They advertise suction like a baby nursing. Is that true? I hate pumping and it always affects my volume. I feel like if this has a baby like suction, I might consider buying.
so it does have a vibration feature that can generate a quicker letdown and potentially make you pump quicker. It is quite strong too when turned up. No pump will give you the emotional connection you get from nursing your baby though. Looking at baby pics and even snuggling a piece of their clothing while pumping can help you get a little of that!

In terms of power suction and milk extraction, would you recommend the S12 (normal, not pro) or the M5?
The original S12 is deff the strongest but ppl had issues with it leaking after a lot of use. They do sell some leak protectors on Etsy though. The M5 and S12 pro are pretty strong too and have that double sealed flange so they’re not likely to leak as long as you put it together correctly.
I got mine & it smells so strong of that plastic smell. I’ve washed over 4x with soapy water & boil & I can’t seem to get rid of the smell. Any suggestions???

Everything but the motor can be replaced. I’d replace the duckbill the most - every other month or so depending on use. You may want to do your flange and other parts if they become damaged or your having random leaking after months of use.

I mainly use them when in the passenger seat of the car, walking around the house, on the computer ext. You have pretty good movement with them but you can’t lean too far forward or back or you could leak. So you’d need to bend with your knees not your chest if doing laundry or dishes
