Immediately liked even before you talked about how much work this took because I know this was not a field day to put together. I'm 10 weeks into my breast pumping journey and haven't really liked the Spectra Synergy (due to the size of the motor) or the Legendairy Milk Imani wearable (due to its shape - I didn't think not having a tear-drop shape would bother me so much until I started wearing it), so I'm currently trying to find a better 3rd option especially with all the Black Friday deals. Thank you so for taking the time to make this video - you're my favorite resource when it comes to lactation info!
8 weeks PP and shopping for another pump as well. Through insurance I upgraded to the portable Spectra Gold Synergy for the great reviews and got clogged ducts and mastitis in my right side. I tried my old Medela Freestyle 2014 model and was able to get more milk after low supply with the Spectra SG. I'm considering Zomee Z2 or Baby Buddha.
I initially started with the Genie Advanced because it was a more commonly used one; however, after trial and error, I realized I respond better to faster cycle speeds & I’ve really loved the Zomee Z2!
Thank you so much for this! I've watched the older video of your pump comparisons so many times! I'm expecting my first baby soon, and just started the breast pump research journey, so this has come at THE BEST time (just going to make my cup of tea, then snuggle up in a blanket to watch)! Would love to see/hear any recommendations/comparisons on wearable pumps too (like Momcozy Mobile Flow/M5, Eufy, Lansinoh wearable, Elvie etc) there's too many and it makes my head hurt :') as this is likely what I could be leaning towards during my (fingers crossed) breastfeeding/pumping journey.
@@NewLittleLifeI'm a little more in between now 😂. I was planning to order the PGA but now I think I may need the Ardo Alyssa because of the higher stim cycle speed because I'm a Symphony user
Zomee 2 is what i have been using for the last year. I worked a driving job so i pumped while driving, the touch screen drove me nuts. My elbow would barely touch the power button and it would shut off. But other times i am pressing it in multiple ways and it wouldn't turn on. It is the only pump i have ever had so i don't get much of an opinion but i would lower my rating on it solely for hating the touch screen and when i looked at the reviews online (of course after owning it) many many comments about hating the touch screen.
Awesome video as always ❤ Just to add the Ikare has a personalized mode but it is a learning curve to get it. You really have to read the instructions to get it.
My lansinoh smartpump is amazing! Portable with the same suction as the Spectra s1 and offers 3 different suction speeds. It remembers your levels, automatically starts in let down mode and then the does a slow transition into your main suction mode. I don’t really have to touch it or change it once I got my setting I like figured out… highly recommend! Only down side is 25mm flange standard but I use my pumpin pals and the work amazing!
Great video! I’m sad that I gave up on breastfeeding a few months ago. I wish I would have saw this video first and tried more different pumps. I did try 3 and was not able to pump enough for my little man and he was a nicu baby and wouldn’t latch after having the bottle. Keep up the good work!
Soon as you said your not sad to see the motif twist go. I turned my head to look at mine😂😂😂 that's the only one my insurance would cover. I just recently bought the momcozy v1 pro and unfortunately I still keep turning to my motif twist for max output😂. You just have to find a rhythm that works for you
100%!! This is so true. You have to remember I’m comparing them directly to other pumps and there’s alot to compare! But if it works for you, that’s really all that matters! And I 100% mean that 💙
@NewLittleLife I've been venturing into looking at new pumps. I just bought the v1pro and I don't know... I'm having a hard time finding a setting that works for me consistently. I thought I found a good setting as one day it doubled my usual output but it's slowly starting to give me a dip again. I tried different settings, different flange inserts, techniques. Idk what I'm doing wrong. I have to either have double 30 minute sessions or power pump to get it all out.
Great updated video, thanks! 😊 Cheeky ask: Can you do one for primary and wearable pumps also? 😅 I realise it's a lot of work though. I have to say I love the zommee Z2, its so fast and stimulating, empties me in half the time of other pumps. It can be a bit overwhelming though, probably wouldn't want to use more than a couple of times a day. But i think it works great for when you need to pump fast.
@@NewLittleLife That would be amazing! As an expecting FTM, I’ve been struggling to figure out which primary pump to use. Especially since it seems that some portables (ie pumpables genie advanced and baby buddha) can be used as a primary pump. It would be great to see how they all stack up. Personally I would love to know how Unimom opera, pumpables genie advanced, pumpables super genie, and baby buddha compare. Thank you for creating all of this content your page is such an amazing resource. 🙏🏽
Im having a tough time coming from the medela symphony to the medela swing im hoping for a better option with the difficulty of elastic nipples ? I only use a 6 on the symphony so i dont need much
Very interested in a minuet video but also the Annabella pump looks interesting it has high ratings but it looks a little intense. Also I saw that elvie stride 2 was just released and I was wondering if you were going to work on a video for that pump and compare it to the original.
Thank you so much for this video! I cant remember how many times ive watched your original video about portable pump. Just out of curiosity: Have you tried the Momcozy V2? If yes, how would you compare it to the Elvie Stride or even some of your favorite pumps like the Babybuddha or Genie Advanced?
I have a little too many pumps maybe an addiction to find perfection? I am good in my Supply after inducing lactation so I need all the help I can get. Current favorite right now is the duette because of the ability to adjust cycle speeds and the suction independently. Yes that silly face plate does pop off on one side making it difficult sometimes to adjust suction, but when I contacted legendairy milk, they were quick to say that they were sending out a new one. I've had all three versions of the baby Buddha and really happy they came out with the 2.0 with softer initial suction. Tricky is there trackball which can come loose and cause the motor to pause when just doing Simple walking inside the house. I sure wish the motor wasn't so loud, and nothing beats a dual motor call Mom both sacrifice I suppose for the itty bitty size. Have been seeing reviews on the pumpables and that one has me curious as a replacement for the baby Buddha for size and portability, and actually the reason I'm here to watch your video!
I got the elvie stride 2nd hand for the wearable cups bc i choose the babybuddha through my insurance the babybuddha I couldnt use for the 1st 2 weeks it was way to much even on the 1st setting now I'm 3 weeks PP and I can go up to a 5/6 without discomfort. But I got the cups for driving and pumping around the house new witflthe madela flanges and tubing its amazing I can get a let down instantly and a good bit of milk even if i just BF, when using the elvie cups though I can pump for 20 mins and barley get anything? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and it makes pumping so much harder as I don't want to walk around with flanges hanging off my chest with my 19 year old brother staying on my couch atm! Hiding to pump is really hard with 3 other kids under 6! Would you know why I'm not getting like anything out with the cups? The suction is fine I can feel it like with the flanges. I did finally get my 17mm flange inserts I had to size up from a 14mm due to being swollen and I was using the 21mm flanges that came with both to decrease the amount of areola could that be why?
Is there a review for the Motif Twist? I was checking to see which pumps i might be eligible for when i switch to another insurance carrier and I didnt see much info about it.. Looks nice and small. But i cant tell if theres multiple modes and etc.
I hadn’t seen that pump in a while so I didn’t include it here, but it might be making a come back! I’ll see about adding it to my list of pump reviews we’re doing in January :)
@ oh. So it’s an older pump… I would definitely be checking that video out. I’ve never seen it before. My last 2 I had the medela double motor one that they don’t have anymore (10 years ago) I’m in search for something as good or better. Especially since im a mail carrier with limited pumping areas.
Thanks for all the info laid out here, this is research 👏🏽👏🏽, one classification catergory I was also wondering about is motor durability like how lon on average can you use them before they die on you ? And also are you familiar with repairability of breast pumps ?
Hope this video includes the new Elvie Stride 2. Just clicked on this. I don’t know how different it is from the regular Stride and if that difference matters.
To be honest, I don’t have a ton of experience with the E1, and it’s quite small. A super small motor, not sure how well it will last with heavy pumping if that’s the plan. Maybe ask in our Facebook group and see if anyone has more experience with it! facebook.com/groups/breastpumpsforworkingmoms
you're so funny! you don't need to justify why you dont like the elvie stride haha. Something that I never hear reviewers say is that the baby buddah is SO LOUD!!! I like the baby buddah because it's smaller and lighter the Genie advanced, but its SOOO LOUD. That's my main complaint about baby buddah

Ahhh I’ve been waiting for the minuet review. Opera is amazing and the size is so enticing!
I’m going to have to do that one separate because it’s so unique!
@@NewLittleLife I love massage mode 4 on the minuet! I switch between that and expression mode 2 with great output!

Not this video coming out while im switching over to whole milk😭 will save it for the next one! The unimom opera was a success for me!
You can adjust the cycle speeds and suction separately for the ikare, too!

Very Good
What about the babyation main pump?

The stride 2 literally came out the same day as this video 😂 but I have one on the way for testing!

Seems like I'm down to Zomee and E1 for a primary pump. And stride for my work wearable. Unless theres a way to wear cups with
one of the other 2....

What about willow?
That would be a wearable pump, it doesn’t fit in this category :)
And Elvie literally just launched an updated Stride
Literally yesterday 😂 that’s why this video is so hard, the world of breast pumps is changing so fast!!!!!
It’s probably going to be the same motor just different cups
Will u do a wearable best one? 🤓

Unimom opera?
Not really a small, portable pump, I’ll have that one on the tabletop pump comparison!

I will include the sonata in the larger pump comparison! I don’t see it much anymore in the US, is it one you have or are considering?
