    Anne with an E had to be my comfort series. Even after I rewatched it for the second time, it still feels like my first time ever watching it. And this will have a special place in my heart. How it burdens me not having a 4th season, and never knowing what will happen to ka'kwet. And the life of Anne with Gilbert and her friends in college.

    I think it is an excellent series, I fell in love with it ❤I just wish they would make a fourth season, I don't know how someone can say they didn't like it, a lot of frivolous people, lack of feeling and romance in this world. Anne with E is one of the best series that I have been able to see and I watch many, with a truly wonderful incredible performance, I wish they did other seasons, there were many things left to finish for the characters 😢

    Companies should be held to account when they cancel tv shows that people have invested in both financially and emotionally. The CUSTOMER! is left hanging. Imagine spending all the money to go see Dune with your family (not cheap) and then finding out that the sequel was cancelled. There should be a contract signed that enforces the company to at least make one extra episode to 'tie up loose ends' to give the audience some closure and not feel they have wasted their time, money and love on something that they care about.

      That's a good point. I doubt corporations would relinquish the power to do so, but it would be great to have some kind of contractual obligation to finish something (like a mandatory episode to wrap things up for anything that's cancelled).

    Im watching now for the first time, I love it ! Best series I have seen on Netflix. Its a breath of fresh air, that my 8 yr old granddaughter enjoys also. Its wonderful that she actually likes watching a historic based series.

    They always cancel the best series, like The Tick.

    This show is amazing and is captivating through many aspects of injustice. To hear that is was canceled is so disappointing as there was no closure for Ka-Kwet and her family.

    Anne of green Gables and Anne of Avanoly are also wonderful shows made in the 80's

    I grew up with the 80's mini-series. Anne with an E is exceptional in some places. The casting of Amy-Beth McNulty and Geraldine James as Marilla was inspired. The cinematography was lightyears ahead of it's predecessor. Gorgeous and lush. But the liberties that they took with the plot and narrative was unnecessary, selfish, and a slap in the face to Lucy Montgomery. Can we not just enjoy and remake the Classics as they were written?

    Way too woke, putting 2023 values and views into a story that wouldn’t have had those values. It was a shame they ruined it

      There's nothing woke ! Grow up ? There's some historical sense ! History isn't "woke" (or perhaps.. You can't accept the truth aren't you ?)

      I typically agree about not viewing the past with current lenses, but I definitely appreciated this series exploring the psychological state of a child being exposed to the abusive and unsavory environment's of the orphanage and homes needing cheap child labor. Instead of seeing a precocious Anne from earlier portrayals we see a PTSD version as she tries to fit in and pleads to not be sent back to her previous environments. Her behavior is a symptom of or coping mechanism for an emotional or psychiatric disorder from the traumatic life she has led as a ward of the state. I do agree that modern PC additions to the original story are not needed since life back then could be harsh enough as it was.

    • @Stuartski

      What was wok about it? Historically there were small groups pushing for women's rights. Women's rights is not the same as wok

    • @aleksandra...
      @aleksandra... 10 дней назад

      @@Stuartski but it is (women's and all marginalised people's rights, tho originally just for racism) - woke is just another way of saying [see things and keep looking] human rights of all humans need our awareness and fight. It's just - as usual, gone through distortion and demonisation from people who oppose such rights... So... who told you differently, and why did you believe it?
      *earlier terms being : any new wave of feminism ="gone too far", PC, sjw...
