      Id say 50% of pro manual comments have never DAILY DRIVEN a manual. Theres a huge difference between "owning" a manual car and "dailying" a manual car. Now, considering the Z/G cars have the slapsitck auto i would rather have that. As long as i can hold gears and listen to my exhaust sing idc about the clutch. Not on my daily driver. now my ls1 82 firebird HAS to be manual but then again that a weekend warrior NOT a daily driver.

    I have an automatic in my 05 250Z and I have no problem when it comes to get up and go time,the auto has a torque multiplayer factor that takes advantage of the torque that is wasted if the manual transmission is not in the proper gear when you get on it and thats way it feels more powerful,the manual mode in the automatic is nice if you like to drag race because no human being alive can shift faster than that auto trans can.I like them both though but the auto is easier to live with on a daily basis!!! The downside to the auto is that it will need to be fixed more often than the manual.

    For ppl wondering. Here in japan that girl voice is just telling you that you don’t have the ETC(automatic toll payment card) inserted or detected, it just pays for the toll instead of having to use the booths. You can order and install it but here it needs to be configured by the car type size etc to pay correctly. The beep for when its backing up is practically on any car here for safety reasons. Trucks have a better one with a gurl voice telling its backing up and or turning left or right.
    So search for ETC device for the girl voice and for the backing beep well no idea sry 😂.
    Not sure if anyone else explained abt this but here it is again anyway since the video is a bit old.

    I'd argue that there are "In between" transmissons" That's the point of auto-sticks. In fact they are built much different than a standard automatic. EXP: if you drive a standard auto and hold it in the 1, 2 or 3 gear position . Its will heat up very quick and you will hear a whine come from the tranny. Semi-manual or slapstick (or whatever you want to call em) are designed to hold the gears and be revved out. Also designed to skip gears to downshift which is literally impossible in a standard auto trans. Let alone a true SMG semi-manual that's a whole other ballgame.

Honestly, each time I am in traffic I thank myself for chosing an Auto. Even if there was ZERO TRAFFIC, I would have still chosen Automatic because its much more comfortable. Also, I never had any issues with the transmission. If you want comfort and use it pretty much everyday.. Automatic is a great option & don't give a F*** about what others think. Your choice only matters. Your comfort matters.

    The manual should feel faster than the auto. The gearing is shorter from the transmission to the differential final drive and pulls harder. • @sinkorswimcreativemedia8889
      @sinkorswimcreativemedia8889 Год назад

      The whole 25 year thing was specific to the r34 GTR and a couple others just because the crash ratings hadn’t been done for the US, something to that effect. The truth is that you can import a 2023 car if you wanted to, there’s no real 25 year rule on the majority of imported vehicles it’s just with a few of the JDM legends bc of crash safety ratings. There are plenty of really cool modern cars you can import!

    Auto only "feels" faster cuz it has to downshift to accelerate. So you get tossed back in the seat a bit.
    In a manual you would already be in gear so there is no SNAP you just pull away.
    But i will say .. If I use "manual mode" on my G35 the tranny kicks so hard and crisp when it shifts. The auto's in Z/G cars are very tight snappy transmissions for real.

    • @brannonbarakat457
      @brannonbarakat457 2 года назад

      No way. Manual you can rev it to 5k and hit it... manual mode doesnt let you go past like 4500.

    • @jacquesc3166

      @@brannonbarakat457 WTF? Manual mode gets you to redline. 7,500 rpm all day everyday in my HR. If you're in limp mode you've got trouble.

    • @brannonbarakat457
      @brannonbarakat457 Год назад

      @Jacques C no. Depending on your mph and rpm already the car wont let you downshift all the way. For example, say im at 40 mph, drop it to 2nd gear in manual mode, rpms are at 450 ish, if i try and go to f1st the rpms will be way to high, probably at redline or nearly so it prevents you from going to 1st if its already around 4500-5k, i want to downshift where my rpms are at like 5200, but in order to do that ill have to speed up a bit so rpms can raise higher that way i can be at 5k+ and hit it. If you downshift and your already at 4500 ish, you cant downshift again because rpms are already to close tp redline and another downshift would put you around 6k. You have an HR so you have another 1000 rpms, so technically you might be able to get another downshift in to where if you downshifted, rpms would go up to 5800-6k and you can punch it from there up to 7500. My DE caps at 6500 ish so if im already at 4500, i cant downshift again to make it go where i want it whivh is like 5k or 5200 where near peak power is to go WOT

    I don't want to be rude but I'm just going to be honest.
    Almost any auto car with an exhaust is one of the worst sounding cars due to the way the transmission revs the car and shifts gears.
    Anyone who thinks the auto is just as fun to drive as a manual is trying to cope by convincing themselves they aren't missing out on the amount of fun that comes with heel and toe and shifting in a manual especially in a 350 which has an amazing manual gearbox feel.
