Full review here: ruclips.net/video/yTJjIJefDz8/видео.html What do you think of this new Grand Cherokee L? It's full of LED lighting and the ambient light/night vision is a nice touch.
Also limited doesn't have different color ambient lighting. Just standard white. Sux to learn all this after the fact. I thought limited was like back in the day meaning "Loaded" out. But it's not lol
Night reviews should be a part of all car reviews now. I love what you did. I do care about the ambiance in the car and now I know what the Grand Cherokee is without going to the dealership. Love your review and love the car!
This box structure is significant to this vehicle. Its their signature design which makes the car big and spacious inside. Absolutely lovely. I love it.
It is insane how far Jeep has come from their humble beginnings. It is also fascinating that buyers of Jeeps are so loyal to the brand that they would purchase one of these over a Range Rover.
That's exactly why Jeep brought out the Wagoneers which top out at $110k and have continued to upscale the GCs now into the Reserve model territory. They have very deep-pocketed devotees they want to tap into in higher priced brackets.
I’m looking to trade my 2016 rover HSE td6. This is the first suv I’ve been in that I would give up my vehicle for. I’m debating about designing a 2022 to even get the 2 tone option like I have now! So so cool. Well done Jeep.
The lights are epic. They have the best width I have ever seen on an SUV. Their positioning on the grill makes it easier to see way into the ditches. When you switch the fog lights on, it becomes a cherry on top
Great job! Keep up the night reviews......I personally appreciated because night road trips are my favorite and this gives a complete picture of what your getting.
Good night review video on the exterior and interior lights for this new generation fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Jeep did a great job by having all lights LED as standard across all the six trim levels available. The headlights are good for the low beam and high beams. The approach lights are good as well. Nice placement for those lights on the mirrors and door handles. I assume those lights are on the Overland trim or higher. I'm glad the Overland trim is the one being reviewed in this video because that's the trim level I'll get for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Also, glad the one in this video is the one with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. I'll get that for mine as well. The outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee has two lift gate lights, but this fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L made an improvement by having them LED. It's also good that the cargo area itself has lighting now. My only gripe about that is its only on the left side. Jeep should've placed a lighting unit for the cargo area on the right side as well. If there was a lighting unit on the right side the overall lumination back there would've been perfect and definitely class leading. As we all know all auto manufacturers like to make touch up improvements here and there during the next year model year or the following year model year within the same generation. With that being said maybe the model year for next year or the model year for the year after might have a light fixture on the right side in the cargo area as well. Let's see what happens when the time comes.
My Jeep GC Overland was recently totaled. The Jeep GC Summit Reserve is my next Jeep with everything on it. Hopefully soon! Right now I’m driving my Rubicon.
In what year did jeep introduce the multicolor ambient lights and massage seats? Also, when did they implement the nightvision detection? Great nighttime video!
Thank you! I'm sorry it was getting light out. I ran out of time with this one and this was the last chance I had to get night time video and it got light too quickly on me 😕 Watch for @Mikes Car Info to do a night video at some point
I’m done driving it and just gotta put the video together..I got on it a couple times but not as much as I wish I would have. Hopefully it shows it off enough but I wish I could go back and do more with it!
Thank you for this! I owned a 2012 GC before and I sold it due to a lot of faulty parts going on. And switched to BMW! Now I am planning to buy another car for family use, and torn between this and an X5! Now this answer my thoughts! Cheers for the video! My wife really like This Jeep!
Great video! Does the night vision only apply to the front facing camera? I do a lot of camping & it would be great to be able to do a 360 degree scan around my vehicle to check for any unfriendlies. Thank you~
If night vision camera picked up something on the road, will the Jeep auto braking system engage automatically? I am thinking of a situation of driving down some country road at night (where there is no street lights) and night vision caught a deer crossing in front of the vehicle. Then what?
This is very nice. The exterior is very luxurious like. The interior is very luxurious too, but the color should’ve been lighter. Thank you Nolan, hope all is good for you.
If you notice the ambient lighting has two rows. One for the top and one for the bottom. I know with the Grand Wagoneer you can adjust the top and bottom independently. I believe you can do the same here.
Great Review. Love finally hearing the hemi. Most reviews focus on the six. Also, maybe I’m tired or going blind. Does anyone see skulls on the power window buttons? ... I probably just had a little too much to
Great review. Couple questions. During the day are the DRL's amber color? Would you know if the Altitude model has these white LED DRL's? I believe during the day, they are an amber color but wondering if they turn white at night. Thanks.
awsome interior... Very luxurious... 10/10 for lightening.. One thing i dont like is thay when you accelerated the engine noise is too much.. They should look into the noise levels of the vehicle
Just picked up a JGC-L Limited yesterday. Why are the daytime running lights acting as the low beams for night driving? Why don’t the amber parking lights act as the daytime running lights? It doesn’t make any sense to me. People have been flashing me because the headlights stay on. I know there’s an option to turn it off, but I prefer to have some kind of DRL’s on.
Just got my wife this jeep in white limited model, went to dealer to get a white RT durango but it was gone so went for the Jeep L because the interior is great. sux the molding isn't color matched on a 54k vehicle. I have to get it painted somewhere myself because the gray plastic makes it look cheap. And the black shiny plastic around cup holder and shifter Scratches So Easy!!! It's nuts! But Great Video !
Where can I find the ambient lighting on my screen I don’t see that option on my jeep .. but I do see clear color on my door and stuff how can I change the color
Thanks for the video--it is great! I'm wondering if the HUD alerts you to anything the night vision camera picks up or if you have to keep an eye on the gauge cluster to get alerted? Not related to lighting: do you know if the gauge cluster and HUD allows you to project Android Auto/Car Play navigation?
I do like the lights. My only personal issue is with the rear lights and the turn signals being the same as the brake lights. I was in an accident with my 2018 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and my car was dead in the middle of the road. With my hazards on, i still almost got rear ended a number of times as I waited for the police to arrive. It scared me enough to look into how to change the turn signals/hazard lights. i found a european software which allows me to reprogram the computer so that the outer lower lights are now the turn signals and the brake lights stay the brake lights. I dont know why the North American model has 4 reverse lights which seems a little redundant. So I put two bright LED lights in the inner lower reverse lights and two amber led bulbs in the outer. I was hoping that with how other cars somehow have amber turn signals in teh same unit as the brake light (even the regular cherokee has this, I believe). I'm sure the European model of this Jeep will have the amber turn signals bc from what I've read, that is one of the regulations for cars to have over there. I also like the idea of a totally separate, independent light as the DRL instead of the low beams acting as both DRL and low beam. Doesn't it affect the length of the light life by being on all the time? I love the LED DRLs on the WK/WK2s. How do you feel these, what look like reflective housing (am I right?), compare to projector type lenses?
GREAT VIDEO THANKS, THE NIGHT VISION help a lot when we drive.....!!! I'm looking for SUV; but I'm NOT SURE because is Chrysler, if someone have had a good experience with Chrysler I would like you to help me make the decision.... Once again thanks for you video .

Would’ve been nice if they used the infotainment the one in Dodge Ram that large screen. It will make the new jeep looks more luxurious that’s for sure 😒.

Telluride got so many awards including best suv of the year. It is quieter and offers more for the money. 10 year 100,000 mile warranty is just an icing on the cake. Jeep is losing customers. The pricing on the GC doesn’t help.

No too sure about this one…something with the design looks off. The interior is really nice looking though. But, I wonder how it will hold up over time…wasn’t a strong point on the last Grand Cherokee. I think the weakest point is the power trains though. The V6, seems a bit underwhelming and the ‘old’ Hemi is just too thirsty.
