I may have said a ridiculous amount of damage too much (lol), but mages are so easy it's incredible. It's a walk in the park even on NG+7.

Why cant you do ones that are good for pvp or is it the same pve,pvp in this case for elden ring
@@JjGodly I don’t really play PvP in elden ring at all anymore, just PvE mainly.
One of my favorite things about int builds is how well the weapons are swappable with same build. My melee int build has Dark Moon Greatsword and Wing of Astel, and i change them out dependent on enemies / groups of enemies
Nice! Yep with 1 main scaling stat it’s deff easy to do that for sure 👍
Thank you for sharing your awesome builds !!!!
🤘
WWWOOOOO this is what we be waiting for thank you for your hard work my good man
🤘
Thank you for the ice spear build it's exactly what I was looking for
🤘
Being at lvl 200 makes int builds so fun, because you practically just need to change the items, since your stats can cover all of these builds without respec
Yep, I just stay at 150 for the meta & the challenge of it. 🤘
I missed out on the magic scorpion charm. First time playing elden ring and didn’t realise it was a drop from Seluvis. And guess who didn’t finish his quest before progressing rannis quest 😭😂
NG+ it’ll be then lol yeah it’s deff missable though. For an item that good I think they could’ve made a more user friendly quest.
Fine work, mate!
Definitely going to try the Night Comet build. Generally play melee only but the magic is calling me.. 😂
Night Comet is ridiculously OP. I ran through the game with it once, got most of the bosses first try. Malenia took a few tries but still, definitely the easiest Malenia fight so far. All you have to do is keep your distance. Btw on the topic of Malenia, the easiest I've ever beaten her was with Ancient Death Rancor and a maxed out Dung Eater puppet. If you're looking to cheese her.
You're a baller with these videos man, do u have a day job or just this channel lol? Keep up the awesome work and its great that you slowed down and explained more things on a few of the videos. Love the channel man! Looking forward to what you come up with for the DLC but will try and enjoy it myself a while before i watch too many videos on it this summer.
Thanks! Haha for right now a lot of YT, and DLC should grow the channel a fair bit. Looking forward to it a ton. Can’t come soon enough. 🤘
You’re so underrated man. You just earned a sub! 😊👍🏼
Thank you! 🤘
Hey Matt thanks for all your hard work putting these videos together. Much appreciated. Question for you, what’s the purpose of having 2 staff’s of loss on the night comet build? Thanks again.
Glad the builds helped! 🤘 and you can stack the 30% passive boost. 60% more damage with 2.
@shaungafford8885
Several items stack like this in Elden Ring. Quite a few seals give double bonuses for their associated school of Incantations. The off hand item doesn’t have to be upgraded either.
Wing of Astel carried me through my entire second playthrough. Whether on mobs, armored enemies, large enemies or single target, it shredded. And the constant stagger windows it creates allows you to peruse your options mid fight.
Maximum fun.
Yep it’s very good. It’s also extremely light weight too & can fit almost any intelligence build. 🤘
tried most of these build and while they are all good and fun to play, the one that most stuck with me is a darkmoon greatsword and night comet combo build.
it's not as strong as speccing into one or the other but it still quite good and fun to play. it allows for a varied combat style where you can fight long ranged, medium ranged and melee.
Very true! Good options to have both 💯
Question on night comet build - if your willing to go above the 150 level cap and get faith to 33 naturally, what do you recommend for your wondrous physick?
Also, I really think you should look at the SoNaF. In my opinion it really deserved an honorable mention here. Even after the nerfs it amazing and can carry atleast a first playthrough.
Great vids as always sir. You and the DLC inspired another playthrough!
Thank you! 🤘 and it’s up to you. Something like the stamina or HP regen tear can be good (the latter is good with ritual sword). It’s still good if I had a 9 & 10, it’d be at 10 and Moonviel 9.
All these builds are awesome there's no doubt about it but i have tried all of these :)
Nice! 🤘 these are for my damage types ahead of DLC, strength is next.
I enjoy your builds. I was wondering how you feel about the death ritual spear
It’s good, mainly for big bosses though. You can run it as a solid back up to Death’s Poker. And thanks! 🤘
I'd like to appreciate what u showed us for new game Plus, 7 ppl means a lot bc most youtubes shows us op builds at new game plus 1
Thank you! Yeah all my current characters are on NG+7 now. I enjoy the challenge at RL 150 too. 🤘
11:04 I love when game mechanics make sense. Malenia is totally blind, somehow she can dodge regular comet but not the invisible version.
Hey whatever works it can help with her lol Radagon too. 🤘
For me #1 will be always Adula's Moonblade. Never let me down :)
It’s good. One of my favorites for mobs. 🤘
i dont have scorpion magic charm but shard of alexander works to on night comet
Man thx for the cool builds. A dumb question I can’t push any ash of war on my guardian sword spear. I’m missing something?
It’s only compatible with some ashes of war (not all). Make sure you have the swordspear too, as it’s the regular weapon you get from the enemies by tree avatars (as a drop). You should be able to put a lot of ashes on it.
@@TheKingofRedLightning thx man
Wow...looks like i need to start using ashes of war
Hell yeah love me a good mage build
🤘
I noticed that you have ice spear in both the dex video and this int video. Is one build more optimal?
So I’ve tested them both, and it’s very close in Keen and Magic (within 50 damage). You can do both basically. Cold affinity at high levels (both Dex & int at 40-60) works best if you’re PvE only. 🤘
Can you advise why you have the frenzied flame and faith tear on the final build?
If everything is INT based why does Faith stuff come into it?
Weightless seal with low requirements & faith tear is for buffs like FGMS, golden vow & howl of Shabriri. 🤘
Clayman's Harpoon goes hard with ice spear
It does, but you actually get more damage out of bigger weapons like the Swordspear (I’ve tested both with identical stats and affinities). Still, they’re both great 👍
@@you_noobhi642 the ash still will, but hits with the weapon won’t.
Is the dark moon, deaths poker, and azur build usable together if i level up int a bit more until 80? Im planning to use dark moon/deaths poker & azur for ng+
For sure. Both ashes scale only with intelligence, so it’ll work. 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightningforgot to ask,is it still also usable with ranni's witch set? Im pretty much planning on a ranni build but with azur lol
@@StonerBasilFromIndieGameOmori for sure. Keep in mind though the spellblade set increases magic ashes of war by 8% (2% per piece).
@@TheKingofRedLightning alright,thanks!
Quick question with how you distributed stats on the dark moon great sword would that be good to also be able to use comet? Or should I spec differently because I kinda wanna use both
You can! 🤘 Try to get to 70 INT though for best results with the Staff of Loss.
So around 70 intell and what would be the second best to go into apart from vigor obviously
@@nl334 mind for sure 👍 any INT build uses mind esp if you’re adding night comet or comet. They’re both fairly FP costly. Dexterity also increases casting speed up until about 30 Dex.
@@TheKingofRedLightning thanks man honestly helping out a lot with this build crafting I was making the scavs build but it seems like that build would be more effective in NG+
@@nl334 it is yes, any other curved sword in blood is good until then. I like the Bandit’s. 🤘
Can moonveil work with any of these builds? Like as a main weapon combo with comet azure?
It can, but keep in mind it has a very even split between dexterity & intelligence. So you’d want minimum 40 Dex for a decent Moonveil build.
can i do night comet and switch to dark moon greatsword or is that too much? as like a secondary weapon in there
For sure. They’re both chargeable & boosted by the magic scorpion charm & magic tear. The ash on darkmoon is all intelligence too. 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightningthanks :)
Does the armour matter with the comet build? And if so what’s the best to wear
Not too much. You should go for a light armor. Azur’s set is excellent for mages (highest magic resistance plus great elemental resistances). Even the starting Astrologer set isn’t bad.
Does it matter what level you are for the night comet build is it gonna be same damage?
The higher your intelligence the better. 🤘
If using second staff of loss do both have to be 25+ or just the one your using?
Only 1 upgraded. The extra is just for the passive boost.
should make a vid on max lvl builds i have no idea what to use lol
I have a 3 part series on my channel for those. From about 4-6 months ago. 🤘

What should I use if my fp runes out completely I’m basically left with a stick when I run out😂
Use an FP flask lol
@@TheKingofRedLightning 😂 nah I meant when flasks run out cause some bosses really just tank a lot of shots and I run out at times
Is moonveil still good, I use it rn
It’s very good first playthrough, but on NG+ or later it’s just “good” not really OP.
why do spend so many levels on vigor is a mage? i feel like as a mage i just want enough hp to not get one shotted
I’m on NG+7. But generally for NG+ and beyond (or PvP) you’ll want 50-60 vigor. 🤘
Dang, no moonviel makes me sad. I should have played that when it was a thing years ago 😭🤣
It’s really only good on NG. After that it falls off a ton.
Could you do a mage pvp Build too ?
I don’t really play much PvP these days.
@@TheKingofRedLightning 😔
What is Howl of Shabriri doing in Death Poker build? What am I not seeing.
25% more damage for the ash. 🤘
Never understood why most players stop at 150. Why not just go as high as you can?
It’s the meta for PvP players.
What starter class is he?
Hero 🤘
Does helmet matter?
Azur’s crown increases comet Azur a bit. Spellblade set increases magic ashes of war. Other than those no.
What function does the sacred dagger do in the night comet build?
It’s for the ash of war golden vow buff. 🤘
Why Grandeur on daggers?
Grandeur only scales with your intelligence stat, the weapon has no effect on the skill.
How you get 2 staff of loss
NG+ or a drop from a friend or Reddit/discord. The jellyfish shield is a good alternative until you get 2.
🎉

Where dagger builds :(
When I ask or poll something, it’s anywhere from 1-3 weeks before I post a video. Possibly this upcoming weekend.
