Love your videos mate. Looking forward to getting the keys to a new build next year and starting on the garden
I just started a project in my back garden and your videos has been invaluable! Looking forward to seeing more!
Cheers 👍🏻
Looking forward to seeing the end results.
Great video as always, keep up the hard work! 👊🏻
The cylinder mower going to be a game changer. Those lawns will be next level. They was already amazing. Can’t wait for it.
Oooo cylinder mower! I was looking at a Cobra Fortis as they are a lot cheaper than Allet, as nice as they are.
I think that large piece of rock you dug out was a leftover from the chicxulub meteorite. Its huge 😂😱🌟🤣😊👍👍👍
When you turf, just make sure the naff of the turf runs opposite every layer so you get stripes.
Looking forward to the second part! Any recommendations for a mattock?
I think he got the Roughneck one. Fairly priced if I’m remembering right. Lost track of how many times I’ve used it!
Another very informative video. When you deep scarify is it sore on your blades?
Was at the local tool hire place collecting my cylinder after having it sharpened. They had some new Cobra cylinder mowers on show that looked very nice 👌!
I’ve ended up going for an Allett, but there seems to be a huge wait time for delivery so I may be waiting a while 😅
Great work, looked like a lot of effort to hand aerate that space by hand. Where are you able to get bent fescue turf from?
A cylinder mower is an exciting purchase - maybe your wedding present 😂
It’s from Tillers Turf and it’s going to be available through the Lawn Association in a few weeks time 👍🏻
That’s a great spin on the cylinder mower decision 😅
Hi where are you getting the turf from.?
Great project on the go mate but it sounds like next investment could be a cross trainer 😅
🤣
Hey really finding your videos helpful we own a new build also but the ground slopes away from house and is full of clay and lots of bumps where loos like soil has sunk and most of grass not growing can I ask wat u might recommend
Cheers 👍🏻
Not sure to be honest, does water pool at the bottom of the lawn?
@@NoviceGardener on the left side of the garden when it rains it's so wet under foot u can't even walk on it but now alot of the garden is going like that
Sounds like it’s a drainage problem. It’s very similar to what killed my lawn off! Regular aeration will help, but it would have to be hollow tine.
I've done some aeration on it used seed compost on the grass as well to try help it we did a inspection on it and they said it's very heavy clay compacted under very thin layer of top soil then turf
Digging out the clay is always an option, but expensive and time consuming!
Nice hard work😂
I'd have left it for a couple of weeks to settle and put a pre seed fertiliser down.
Laying turf is hard work, prepare too, get a workout.,hands and knees job.
Turfing,is not easy,
Enjoy!!
Laid the turf yesterday and you are absolutely right! Knees in bits, legs killing and must have lost half my body weight in sweat! 😅
I’ll have the video up next week, just need to get it edited 👍🏻

😄
Are you going to lay bent/fescue turf on this lawn as well as your own?
Where are you ordering your turf from? I used onlineturf and it’s full of meadow grass. Wish I’d of used the local turf supplier or Roland
It’s going to be available through the Lawn Association in a few weeks - will post when it is 👍🏻
nice work. i hope your neighbours are getting some money back from the landscapers for the crap work.
Glyphosate takes ages to work good stuff though.
To be honest, it’s quicker than you’d think. Once the grass goes yellow, it’s long gone, but dies off even when it still appears green.
Should have used a tiller to break up the soil. And that chemical that you put down lasts for atleast 6 months or more. So no point in putting turf on that.
I've been watching this for months. Started great now it's utterly garbage stuff. Just showing weeds etc. I know you're not a professional and it shows 😮
I don't think this is the same lawn you're thinking of, this is a different one
I think the proof will be later in the summer and the summers to come.
It’s a totally different lawn in a different property so you obviously don’t watch this channel much 😂
Looks a lot better now mate, just wondering are you on instagram yet?
Yep, novicegardeneryt
Started posting last week 👍🏻
@@NoviceGardener amazing I’ve just headed over there to follow you 👍
@haydenwareing9405 cheers, lawns are spot on 👍🏻
