I am Brazilian. But I had the opportunity to visit Scotland and know a little about its culture. It is a beautiful and welcoming country. The Scottish spirit is very warm. And the sound of the bagpipes makes me cry. I had no doubt and I ended up buying two of them in Edinburgh. That eventually served as decoration on the wall of my office. Because it is very difficult to play. Sir James Paul McCartney was sure to be very insumed (as always) when he created this beautiful song. And he made a great tribute to Mull of Kyntire. And of course to all Scotland. Detail I learned to sing this song in 1978. Hugs from Brazil.
Esa canción es un Himno a Escocia! Grande Paul Mccartney has hecho y dejaras un gran legado musical y a todo el mundo... Saludos desde México... ❤ 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Dear Rubens. Many thanks for your comment. You need a teacher. Everybody can learn this instrument. I had about 200 pupils practically most of them learned to play the pipes. Greetings from Switzerland.
Beautiful rendition. Everyone perfectly to attention except the one lass in the front line on the left side, right of the stage. What was with the wild gyrations of her left foot. Otherwise a perfect performance. Thanks.
Obviously you are not Scottish and don't realize the piper keeps time with his foot for the rest of the band. Pay attention next time you see a band with pipers and when they are standing still, of course not marching, when marching the head piper leads with his huge baton.
That is the P/M of the Band. I also think that in this case it was not necessary to move his right foot. But, in Scottish Pipe Bands it's usual to do this. The P/M is allowed to give the beat, no one else.
