Did it come out like you expected? It definitely surprised us!
Absolutely gorgeous but I am too "chicken" to try it. LOL You create some beautiful pieces. Fantastic job Mike!!
Way beyond what I expected
Way better than I thought it would look
Thank you so much! Also a good way to start is practicing with smaller boards to get the hang of it! -Nathan
I thought it would have turned out much more dark, cool piece though
Maybe a hint of green and purple and that's definitely the inside of an abalone shell 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 awesome
Very good suggestion, that would have taken this one to the next level! Thanks for the great comment
That was my exact thought as I stare at my collection of abalone shells.
Was just gonna say needs the pinks and greens. It’s beautiful the way it is but the pinks/ purple/ greens would be amazing
you should do these more often. Random color challenges could be a new segment on your channel!
That's not a bad idea!
Cool idea!!!!
Absolutely! I miss the almost weekly experiments. The trade-off for production value i suppose.
Definitely sweet idea
100% agree
My favorite color pallette so far, 2 years watching!!!
Now lets find a way to to this vertical
I've been away a while but, coming back to learn how.
Its never to late to learn! -Nathan
Absolutely beautiful, definitely trying this combo
NO. not all. BUT this is one of if not my favorite colors now.. thanks, guys
No I did not expect it to come out this way it totally came out better than I thought it would. I thought it was going to come out a lot darker so I like that it's lighter.
The exotic pour epoxy technique is my favorite, the only skills you need is proper mixing!
Less is more. I love what you did here. Not too much not too little. I always get viscosity mixed up with the other thing, and those muted colors. That's a great mother of pearl look 🥳 lot of good rules of thumb.
Thanks for watching Gabrielle! We would love to see what you can do with our epoxy! -Nathan
Not my color choices either but it’s epic!!! “Flowy” is a new one on me!!! Lolol, great content
If I could get that it would be the perfect countertop. I never would’ve believed those colors would come close.
It's not about the colors, it's all in his techniques.
From mixing, prepping, pouring, tilt invention, etc.
Dude can take any random colors and make it a work of art.
That would make a Gorgeous bar top in a Yacht or even a Cruise Ship!
Your right! This would look amazing on the open sea! -Nathan

OMG!!! I was looking to find A pearl colored pour using epoxy . I found so much more. I needed to redo my formal dining room table and it's wine drawer. I knew I was going to paint it a cream color to match new chairs I've ordered But I must say you guys always amaze 🎉❤❤❤ Thank guys so very much.
This is absolutely beautiful!! We are remodeling my grandparents home . My papa passed 9 months ago at the age of 101, 2 months shy of his 102nd bday. He was a WWII Vet. My Granny passed two months ago, so we are remodeling their home to continue to make more memories. I just know they would Love the work you do as much as I do.
If I ever work up the courage, I would like to coat their old oak table they had since I was a small child. We would also live to do a shower remodel and If I work up the guts, I really wanna do it. I love your channel and God Bless! Beautiful Art is what y’all make!! ❤️
Great comment and my condolences, I lost my father at the age of 70 last October and its been tough. Start with a small sample board to learn just how easy epoxy is to work with. The oak table will be simple only adding clear epoxy to it. You will need to rough up the table and sand with 120, 220 sandpaper then you are ready for clear Stone Coat Epoxy. Let me know if you have any questions, I'd love to assist getting your 1st project started ! Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any of our new videos! Thanks again!
@@mitchquist Thank you so much! I’m gonna write down the info on the sanding grits I need and once we get to the point and I find that time, I certainly wanna give it a try. 😊
I’m so sorry about your father and I send you my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I love watching the videos and seeing all of the beautiful counters. In my eyes, Art every time I watch one. 💗
It came out a lot differently than I expected! I’m pleasantly surprised!😃 I’m considering something like that for my kitchen!
Wow. That's breathtaking - would never have expected it from the colors you started with. I was thinking marble but now...
This one truly is simple to recreate. Just add similar ratios of colors Mike used in this video
This would look so nice with my kitchen flooring. I was not expecting that result! Gorgeous!!!
I can’t get enough of these videos. I watch 2-3 hours a day of your channel to learn the methods. I have a corner shower, a 4 foot tall wainscoting wall surround that is about 12 feet total in three 4’ sections , and a countertop to wrap a very small bathroom. I will use 1/2” foam for the shower and walls. Planning a routed edge for top edge of walls. Need to decide on a color scheme. I have 4 gallons of 1:1 epoxy to get started. Will get started on some samples once I get some powders to add and mix with paint.
Heck yeah! This countertop is rocking man!
Thanks for watching! Have you had a chance to try out our epoxy yet? -Nathan
@@StoneCoatCountertops 5 time
I love this pour. I was hoping if I ever had a countertop or table to do to create a Labradorite like finish (white, grey, black with an almost rainbow of amber, green, blue, purple flash). This pretty darn close. Wonderful tutorial!
Sounds like you have some great ideas of your own! Let us know if you use our products in a project we would love to see how they turn out!
That third piece on the back wall is gorgeous
Beautiful! I’m glad you’re not afraid to experiment!😃
OOOHH that is very similar to the look that I want on my kitchen countertops
Follow along with Mike, You Got This!!!! Do you have measurements of your kitchen I can help you with how much you need
@@mitchquist Thank you for responding, I thought that I had the color kit I wanted... then I see this... Timing is more of an issue right now for us.
THAT has to be the most incredible pour yet! Very convincing abalone look.
Thanks for the great comment Michael! Have you used epoxy for a project yet?
@@mitchquist not yet but, I have been watching and learning. I have two beautiful hickory slabs I want to make a river table with so I will be buying very soon.
I'm seriously considering doing my kitchen countertops in epoxy and THIS video is exactly what I needed to see!!! I've watched a few other videos of yours and they showed certain stone looks (I have no clue of the stone veins and what to do with light and dark colors) but that's not what I'm looking for. Putting together colors of the beach (sand, blue hues, green hues, maybe pink) is what I'd love to do and this video shows I can put all the colors layered in one bucket and pour...easy peasy!! Thanks you guys!!
What a long, strange trip it's been

Beautiful!

Perfect !!! I really thought the orange was going to come through more. Absolutely Beautiful 😍
I've had that happen before!
I thought the same, I liked how it turned out though
That was beautiful, now I'm intrigued by it and would like to see a tiny bit more pop with the aqua and orange. You always do a fantastic job on your pours . Luv this piece a lot . For sure made it to my top favorite picks list.🏞beauty with epoxy❣💯
Yes we might have to try this one again with some more pop! Glad you liked the piece thank you!! Would you do something like this in your home?
It ABSOLUTELY came out how I expected
I've been seeing you in the comments in our recent uploads! Thanks so much for your support along the way. Commenting really helps our channel and videos grow! Have you used Stone Coat yet for a project?

GORGEOUS!! I would never have anticipated this end result simply because of the orange. Love it when the results are so much better than the anticipation. Thank you for sharing.
This piece reminds me of walks on the beach. This would be something I would love in a master bathroom. I see waves, sand, and clear skies. An image that brings the sea to you. Great job!!
Gorgeous!! Just gave me ideas for my kitchen countertop!! I'm building a tiny house and have been trying to decide what I want. I think you just nailed it....a touch more blue and it's golden!!

Definitely saving this video to study how to recreate this look. One of my favorites ever.
This is the most pleasing, beautiful, pour I have seen to date and that is saying something because most of the previous pours are absolutely gorgeous.
😍 THANK YOU!
This is my favorite of all the projects, and the one we want in our kitchen. We have yet to start a project, but our friends flip houses and exclusively use Stone Coat in their kitchens (they do beautiful pours!) We are starting small, a bathroom counter first. It is much smaller than the kitchen, and will be good practice. The colors in this Abalone perfectly match our interior. Love, love, love! Excited! Nervous, but excited!
You got this! We would love to see how your project turns out on our Facebook page Stone Coat Countertops insiders!
@@StoneCoatCountertops We are planning to apply the epoxy over old granite that has a raw edge. The problem is that the raw edge is sharp...all of our shirts have holes from leaning against it. Anyway, do you think sanding the edge then applying Bondo would help smooth that out? The rough edge is fine, but this is way too rough. Thanks.

Wow thank you kindly Linda, have you had a chance to use Stone Coat Epoxy?
Really want to see the side by side differences in techniques and products. A few ideas: 1. one pour, half gloss top coat, half natural top coat; 2. one pour over half black primer coat half white primer coat; 3. Make a bunch of little cups of whatever colors, then exotic pour into two buckets, one bucket with layers of spray paint in between, one bucket without layers of spray paint in between, being sure to pour the little cups in the same order into the big bucket. To get a better understanding of these products, I really would love to see more side by sides like this.

I saw a vid about 5 years ago trying to convince my mother that she doesnt need to get marble countertops "this guy" i saw can do it with wood and resin. And ive been hooked ever since. I make small resin sculptures and resin art but still cant win her over. I plan to just do the make over myself once i can afford it. But i love how much this channel has grown and it always inspires me to create when a new one comes out.
