The record company wanted another radio friendly up tempo song. This was Maynard’s version of the middle finger thus the slow middle section making it not radio friendly, besides the obviously unfriendly lyrics.
Disposition, Reflections, and Triad are all part of whats called the Holy Trinity and _MUST_ be listened to all together. Its a transformative and transcendent experience that every new Tool fan must go through. Yes its long, but its so worth it.
He does it in third eye as well. I feel like it's one of their inside jokes they have Maynard whispering and everything's really quiet to where you're getting right up close to the speaker and then they hit you in the face!!!
I know Danny did a lot of the recording on Lateralus without any click tracks, but no song was recorded in 1 take. Its' a rumor I've seen floating around the internet for a while, but that just wasn't the recording process in the studio. Adam and Justin were also recording their scratch tracks at the same time and did multiple takes for coverage.
nice one! Track kicks but seems like an outlier on an otherwise tight concept album. The holy 3 are next. Don't know why holy. I hear Disposition and Reflection going together. Triad seems like an add-on to the first two. I'd pair that with Faip de Oiad to close out the album in two weeks. You'll have to split them somehow. Or one 25-min post on four songs? SPOILER -- Faip is another trip like Ions. def not worth a single reaction. BTW, 10,000 Days is prime Tool. Solid LP from Vicarious to Right in Two. Will make you appreciate your journey even more even the ASMR and interludes.
So......correction! We do the Holy Trinity next week. :)
Be sure you're ready to fully commit to the Trinity, it demands your full attention but you will be rewarded, it's masterful!

Oh and you must do Disposition, Reflection and Triad together. They’re called the holy trinity for a reason.
I cannot recommend this more.
yes, this

Underrated song if you ask me. I didn't like it for a long time after I first heard it, but it grows and grows and now I love it 🤘

Maynard has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so he could throw your ass across the room 😂
My bro. At the end Learn to Swim and Spiral out was epic!!!
You have to do the push it "fan incident"
You will see the wrath of Maynard lol
Get healthy, drink lots of fluids, and yeah. As many others suggested, the next three songs must go together, and you're going to trip out.
Was lucky enough to hear this live and wings. Special band.
Yeah dude the holy trinity is gonna kick you in the nuts! 😂
I’ve heard Danny laid down that drum track one play through on a bet.
True and I heard all the others started throwing stuff at him as he was recording. He didn’t miss a beat of course 😂
Fact! 🐙🤘🏻🌀

You have to do the next 3 songs as one entity
The song Maynard almost always refuses to perform live… for obvious reasons. 😂
I’ve seen it at least twice. He used a megaphone though.
Auckland 2013 He started with Hooker
@@dan.j.boydzkreationzid kill to see hooker live
Those transitions allow the composition the 'breathe', very important for a hard/heavy song in my opinion.
don't wait another 12 days or else feel the wrath of uncle Maynard
The last track Maynard recorded vocals on for the Lateralus album... and blew out his voice by the end.
Yeah. You might just want to finish the album next week ...
His cords were fucked for weeks, it was the final recording on the album.
Yes the Holy Trinity.
they say you lose time when abducted by aliens..lol
2 weeks??! FOR SHAME. “Boo this man” ;)
Welcome back!
I prayed I'd hear this live, was only song I prayed 4. Cuse I rlly doubt they will ever perform live again, id love 2 be wrong
I don't think there's been two weeks in a row since 1993 that I haven't listened to Tool.
Great song
Bruh did a Maynard dance
2 weeks! That is way tool long for a tool fan to go without tool! Setup a emergency kit, maybe a glass case to break in the event of a tool emergency.
Heard it stated that MJK lost his voice after singing that. Uh, yeah.

You have to do the Holy Trinity!

You need that little patch of hair under your nose instead of under your lip 😝🤙
this song is a piss take
wtf... "i got the moves"" i was expecting more .. exactly what they're playing" were a minute in and I'm trying real hard to hear the rest of this.
3 minutes in and you've offered nothing musically. How do I block you?
