Absolutely spot on! Sounds fantastic. Reminds me of being out at Edwards AFB last year and the F-35s doing this high over the base. This is going to turn up the Aerobatics server like crazy
@@bestskateboreder i think you can do it from the persepctive of a ground vehicle by using one or other of the function keys then just look up or maybe you could eject and do like that but probbaly a more elegant solution like a free camera i dont know about
Man this looks realistic as it can be, the sound its 99.999999999999999999% accurate and it matches the reality. Congrats and huge respect for DCS Developers Team
DCS is getting better and better. Keep it up, guys. I envy you guys being able to flight sim like this. I'm 70 and I wish I had this shit when I was starting to fly. Just imagine where you guys will be in another 20 years, I'm straight out jealous. My handle was Sandman.
Great tip! I do wonder if the person recording this wanted to go for the authentic camera feel, because that’s how you would have to track a jet in real life. Probs why the camera moves the way it does
Wonderful video!! I really hope that they will improve the sound engine just for a bit. As a someone who spends 3 decades near the F-16, the need to improve the takeoff sound and also the sonic boom.
F3 flyby used to sound better and more realistic imo. It had that knets right before the boom, and the boom was full of bass, not just engine exhaust. But these ones from ground and further away are very good and do have some bass and a double beat to it sometimes.
Reminds of when I was young and noise regulations weren’t as strict. Height of the Cold War and all. You’d see an F-16 pass over and think, “Hey, it doesn’t make any s…” and then “Blaaaaam!!!!”, “*blip* *glitch* …holy cr@p, wtf was that?”
Either reduce your settings in game when recording or check rendering settings. It's like watching a slide show! Nice video though, love the film grain - too many people making super clean videos these days
Can you please share how you record so smoth video with nice shake of filming "from the hand"? Some pipeline and processing description. Do you only use post-processing or some plugins for DCS to grab the video with smooth camera panning? How the hand shake is added into this?
These sounds really good. I have to wonder if they were spurred on by Flight Simulator for this one; their sonic boom on the F-18, especially on the exterior model, was very good. Although at different distances for flypasts DCS is back on top again, hands down.
Biggest issue with "realism" with any of these sims is that they have infinite depth of field...everything is in focus all the time. If they could just put more realistic depth of field the level of realism and immersion would greatly improve
Depth of field only exists on cameras. Your eyes automatically focus on anything you're looking at. It literally makes zero sense to include that in a video game.

Love the new sound, the 14k sounds just like when the F15s break the sound barrier (rare) over the sea here
Hoping they add vapor cones soon. The only thing still missing
and we are in 2022 soon ---_____---
The JF-17 has it when going from subsonic to supersonic
JF is great hope ED stop messing with it
Vapor cones need the right conditions to form and have nothing to do with supersonic or transsonic flight.
@@Kolobochok95 War Thunder ruined it for too many people so now everyone thinks there's a vapor cone when you go supersonic
"Two of your snot-nose jockeys did a fly-by on my tower at over 400 knots! I want somebody's butt; I want it now; I've had it!"
Great video!
Merry Christmas!!! (Also great vid, the loudness of the sonic booms made me jump lol)
Merry Christmas!
I heard such a noise when a Rafale went supersonic near Paris to intercept a plane this year. Good job !
Sounds really good. I liked the far away sound. Very realistic
Man every layer of sound from the jets even sub sonic sound very convincing
Good video!!!
As a tip, when you're looking an aircraft, pressing LCTRL + F3 you spot automatically the view on this aircraft...
Great tip! I do wonder if the person recording this wanted to go for the authentic camera feel, because that’s how you would have to track a jet in real life. Probs why the camera moves the way it does
better would be to use the padlock feature, you can do it from anywhere and it helps with tracking the plane

my favorite dcs video
Nice. But I think the sneak pass comes from the viewers six. ;)
Shhhh.. this guy was on the radios 😂
That was awesome 👌
I CANT EVEN STOP WATCHING THIS
i want some moffuggin shock cones already cmon guys
The fact I saw this done here and not in a Grim Reapers video is surprising. GR is sonic boom spam heaven.
the sonic boom is amazing, now we need the vapor cone.
Landing also needs Sonic boom 💥💥 sound effect 🙂
Y're a fast lander aren't ya?
😂
It's like watching a plane in real life. Crazy.
Good improvement to it.
forgot the super close one
Still looking for that shock wave and condensation cloud that occurs when you approach the speed of sound
Amazing job. Thank you sir!
Well done, I believe you achieved your goal! Did you use the Core add on for the audio?
Nope, audio is all stock.
What is the core add on?

Dcs never fails to amaze me
maybe one day theyll add pressure effect for all the modules!
That would be awesome
I still dont have this sound. Im on OB. Do I have to change something?
When I show this to others they think it is of a real fighter jet.
Isn't JASDF supposed to fly Mitsubishi F-2 instead of F16-C?
it sounds so cool now
This is AWESOME

Fantastic.. but why is there a earthquake WITH THE CAMERA?!? Shaky Shaky = TOO MUCH!
How did you manage to get this view?
This "game" is going to end in a lot of air force bases around the world for training purposes.
And I'm not joking.
it already is...
a10c module was created for USAF
Very realistic… delay… looking for some Doppler?
Now they just need to add the fog effects
A visual would make it perfect
i now understand why it's illegal to fly supersonic over terrain
I like the old one better.
Thought this was war thunder sonic boom sound update...
Does it still boom below Mach 1.0? I frequently hear the boom effect as low as 0.95 Mach.
it is mach 0.95 at nose but supersonic over wings
@@hphp31416 How do demo pilots not bust the sound barrier if there’s no mach reading for the wings….?
I'm kinda disappointed there is still no graphical effect.
