Now THAT"S what a carrier deck is supposed to look like. I lived on the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 for 4 years and very rarely see decks that good. The main thing people get wrong is too much free space available. There is NO space wasted on a deck. Aircraft are literally a foot apart. Support gear, ordnance, people jammed into every nook and cranny. The hangar bay is even worse. I saw a plane captain walk from one side of the hangar to the other without touching the deck. When we went out for sea trials, the decks were clear. They had some old hulks with shock sensors all over them when we did shock trials, but a full combat cruise once the airwing gets aboard is just nuts.

I was attached to VFA 81 Sunliner from 92 to 96. Our squadron was attached to the USS Saratoga in 94. We went on its final deployment where we performed operations provide promise, deny flight and keep peace. When you Yugoslavia was undergoing at Civil War. I was an aviation electronics tech. Many times. I was a final check or troubleshooter in the launching of aircraft. Specifically the FA 18. I must say this is one of the most accurate depiction of a flight deck I’ve ever seen that is not actually real. Every detail is on point and amazing. I worked on a flight deck of the USS Saratoga for six months for most of those six months we were doing combat operations, and I would be on the flight deck for 18 hours at a time day or night. Let me tell you there is nothing scarier than being out in the middle of the Adriatic at night with no light at all, not even from the moon, and you have 40 aircraft on the flight deck and 15 of those 40 are in constant motion and you can’t see a thing but fluorescent wands. On the average six month appointment on a carrier that statistics say that at least one and sometimes two sailors will not return home

If you showed the 2004 version of me this footage, I would have for sure thought that it was from a movie with fantastic CGI. I would have never believed that this was real gameplay footage.
To stop that master caution before launch, set the trim per the NATOPS. It’s based on aircraft weight. Below 44,000lbs, set it to 16°. 45,000-48,000lbs, set it to 17°, and 49,000lbs and up, set it to 19°. You can see this setting if you pull up the checklist screen on one of the DDI’s. Also a great idea to set a bingo fuel, and the radar altimeter correctly, and set the alt switch below the UFC from Baro to RDR. I usually tune into the ship’s TACAN and ICLS channel if you aren’t navigating to another TACAN after departure. Just saves time for later. Hope this helps.

@@azrzgaming the legacy F/A-18C module does it too. If you look on the bottom of the left screen, it will tell you the reason for the caution. I couldn’t see it clearly in your video because I’m on a phone, but it probably says “pitch trim”, because it only happened when you pushed the power up. And you’re welcome. I’d hardly call myself an expert, but I struggled learning all of the procedures at first.

@cwhitty05 The Tomcat is a masterpiece & a nightmare as well to control! But wow when you fly it around it's one of the most beautiful Jets ever been introduced to the military aviation! All we need now is the D variant

I know it doesn't make sense to go full realistic on DCS, but throttle must go 100% when you touchdown on the carrier. Standard procedure, known as "bolter" IRL.
Thanks I think I saw that before in both real and DCS videos but it's kinda difficult do all stuff together with incomplete setup but I will find out a proper way to do it the other thing is that this F-18E mod was acting a bit funky most of the time 😅 I guess it's been a while since it's last update! The Super Hornet, like the Tomcat, doesn't go full power on carrier traps like other aircraft are advised to do. The engine power is sufficient at mil power to get the aircraft back in the air after a bolter or worse a wire break.

Nope I just adjust my colors till they look in the best way possible and I test missions over and over to optimize the fps I do lots of work on a single mission tbh but glad that your feedback so far is really positive most of the time! Cheers
F-18C is a good start up for you along with the Supercarrier, there's two free maps Caucasus & Mariana Islands I would recommend you buy one of the other maps either Persian Gulf, Kola, Sinai, or Syria join DCS discord and watch tutorials on RUclips and you will be just fine flying in DCS

Hello everyone, after the last update, there is a big problem for F-16. When you look at the plane's radar, if there is one number of planes or helicopters in the sky, it will show several numbers on the plane's radar, and there is no more radar lock! pls test and report this problem !
How can you put on rain or snow in dcs? In Mission editor there is on the wheater page all down a block (Winter, heavy snow). If i click it on it changes when I change the page to aircraft or static object (id doesnt save the wheater changes). Normal wind and cloud changes safe but not the wheater.
@@_Mokkas_ you can change weather when you select the clouds presest its up under the temperature there is the options clouds with rain etc etc, for snow it must be less than 3 4 degrees thats it
@TeuzTV86 I'm using intel so I would recommend intel of course just pick up a high end processor i7 or i9 you need 2Tb SSD to install whatever modules are there and a powerful card rtx 40 series RAM is also important 32GB at least
@@captingnargnar just install it into your main folder and don't worry you should be fine, incase you have a problem just do a repair build then delete the F18C module using the launcher then reinstall it, mods making DCS more fun in my opinion so it worth the risk

Bolter is when you don't catch any wire and have to go around, not the procedure of going full throttle after catching a wire

I only see the F18c in the DCS marketplace, is this a completely different add-on? is it free? is it a "Study level" interactive cockpit ?

The rain obscuring the canopy view seemed over the top.
The compound that the maintenance crews clean the canopies with would make the rain bead up.
Hello everyone, after the last update, there is a big problem for F-16. When you look at the plane's radar, if there is one number of planes or helicopters in the sky, it will show several numbers on the plane's radar, and there is no more radar lock! pls test and report this problem !

How can you put on rain or snow in dcs? In Mission editor there is on the wheater page all down a block (Winter, heavy snow).
If i click it on it changes when I change the page to aircraft or static object (id doesnt save the wheater changes). Normal wind and cloud changes safe but not the wheater.
@@_Mokkas_ you can change weather when you select the clouds presest its up under the temperature there is the options clouds with rain etc etc, for snow it must be less than 3 4 degrees thats it

@TeuzTV86 I'm using intel so I would recommend intel of course just pick up a high end processor i7 or i9 you need 2Tb SSD to install whatever modules are there and a powerful card rtx 40 series RAM is also important 32GB at least

How do I download and install the AIM-174B? It looks super cool but I don’t wanna screw up my super hornet file
@@captingnargnar just install it into your main folder and don't worry you should be fine, incase you have a problem just do a repair build then delete the F18C module using the launcher then reinstall it, mods making DCS more fun in my opinion so it worth the risk
