The xbox one stick drift series 2 controller :D Got one yesterday with the authentic stick drift straight out of the box. I was afraid it would work this time, i couldn't sleep without stick drift. Returned it and i will get a new one next week from the store. Hopefully the next one has again the same beautiful stick drift, i can't get enough of that. So i can return it again and get more stick drift with the next one. Called microsoft/xbox support and they dont really care ... they would only "repair" it which would take ages. Btw: i had the exact same problem with 2 xbox one stick drift series 1 controllers. Thanks god the series 2 is all re-engineered from the inside out and the rubber won't peel off.
Found a way to fix dead zone you need to attach a small pice of plastic or something like that on the inside of thumb stick cover (the interchangeable one) to push down the screw a little bit more 👍👍👍
I have been having a lot of latency issues with my controller. This is the “new” one they sent after my bumpers were sticking. So basically what happens is I’ll be moving & grooving then out of no where it’ll just stop. Almost like lag out.
Hey. So I actually watched this video and you know the screw thing right. I was playing today and it randomly started moving mid game. Now it is very stiff. How do I fix ?
I've owned both Elite controllers and I've got to say that it is such a shame that Microsoft wasted so much potential on with them both. The first elite lasted me for around a year of heavy use. The grips were peeling off the controller, the bumpers felt very loose and I had left stick. My elite series 2 became useless after a few weeks. I used the paddles so much that I broke the piece inside the controller that stops the paddle to give it leverage. I also had this physical deadzone issue, it got gradually worse to the point where it was unbearable. I returned it within a month of getting it. I've got to admit, though, that the app for the controller is perfect for me. The shift button was my favorite feature, I used a lot in games like Rainbow 6 Siege and Battlefield V. It could've been such a great controller, but it has major flaws that I doubt Microsoft will fix before they release another one. I ended up just rebuying a wolverine ultimate. I strongly I reccomend it, it's a very solid controller. If the wolverine had the same amount of customization as the series 2, it would be just perfect, but oh well. That's just Microsoft being Microsoft..
Agree with everything you said and the Wolverine is awesome!!! And.... I have the older Razer Wildcat and it's still going strong💪. Come on Microsoft, I believe you can make a controller without major flaws🙏🙏
Did your joystick feel like it was struggling to move in the up direction? I play FPS games and moving forward (up) to walk forward feels like I can't walk or move forward sometimes. Is that what you meant? I did notice that if I take the joystick top off, it doesn't give me the stutter/can't move forward. But once I put the joystick thumbtack on, it will do it again.
@@colebankston8752 Not really. Other than replacing the mechanics for the joystick its self. I don't have the tools so I'll be sending mine back to best buy to replace. For now Ill have to use the regular controller. Haha I feel so dumb pressing back triggers that aren't there.

do you know a company of some sort i can just ship out my controller and they just fix it for a certain cost? I've opened a regular xbox controller b4 and I don't want to risk opening my series 1.
i got a replacement because the left thumbstick on my original broke completely and was sunken in. my replacement controller fell 2 feet and the right thumbstick gets jammed almost the same way the left one did
Found a way to fix dead zone you need to attach a small pice of plastic or something like that on the inside of thumb stick cover (the interchangeable one) to push down the screw a little bit more 👍👍👍
So I did this about a year ago for siege and at this point have a broken controller it completely trashed my dead zone over time and now I don’t get controller input until the stick is less than a mm away from the edge it’s like playing a game on max deadzone
After a year of use that is basically what you can expect from these controllers....if you're a bit handy you can open up the controller and clean the sensors on the joysticks. perhaps replace the sensor rings as well.

I think the stick drift out of the box you just need to break in the controller it’s like it’s a new pair of shoes you gotta break it in and since it’s a new controller you might need to play with it for a while
Also another guess for the stick drift (not for everyone) but I feel like it has to do with their dead zone settings within their games. This controller is very popular in the Fortnite community for example and I know they like to play with little to no dead zone, and obviously with no dead zone they will have drift. That’s just a theory I need others to say their experience, but that’s what I thought of recently.
@@gunnf1re32918? Like as in 18%?! You have to push your stick that much because your deadzone is way to high. The higher your deadzone the further you have to move your stick to register any input, if your drift is that bad that you have to set your deadzone to 18% to prevent drift, don’t even use it. Honestly you’re better off playing with stick drift in most cases, one: your stick isn’t drifting or moving by it’s self if your thumb is on it aiming or moving your character and 2: it’s also helping your aim assist readily engaged most of the time🤷♂️

Could I put the whole mechanizm from mi old controler (normal xbox one controler) and just put it where the broken mechanism is on mi searies 2 controller
IF it has THE same sort of connection to the Mainboard i Guess you could solder it ...but Then why not order a new mechanism online for a few bucks? :)
I think so....you first option is to desolder the analog unit and replace it with a regular DualShock. Your second option is to glue an M3 nut on the bottom of the regular stick and screw it on the existing unit. The series 2 has M3 sized threads where you screw the thumbsticks on.
Possible reasons: 1. The stick has Come loose, just screw it back in gently (use The thumbstick and turn it clockwise) 2. A small plastic part has Come loose inside The controller and needs to be put back (requires that you take The controller apart)... Less likely reasons: 3. Part of The mainboard has Come loose and is now touching The stick (mainboard needs to be put back in place) 4. The mechanism of The thumbstick is faulty (perhaps The spring, return controller)
Haha I'd love to be able to sell those but since I live in Sweden and i guess you somewhere else, it seems easier that you make one yourself :) besides, every different spring on a different controller needs a bit of "fine tuning". However I can make an instructional video for you if you'd like? ^^
