I think this is actually crazier than Madagascar and Mongolia in a way, I was in the Amazon in Bolivia and although Suriname seems like a small country, the Amazon is so insanely dense. The only official summit of Juliana Top seems to have been as recent as 2006. I also just looked at a map of Suriname and it looks like there are no roads at all in the area you’re going- crazy.
Yeah man, there has been more people in space than on the summit of Julianatop 😳 That’s right, whilst is a smaller country, it is the densest country of any of the other Amazonian countries. And you’re right, no roads or track, especially the further west you go…. It’s gonna be insane 😍
@@Major_BadgerWhen we’re in the jungle, we’re looking to post reels on insta everyday 🤞🏼 then when we return, we’ll absolutely be doing longer form content on RUclips
Didn't even know the country existed. The entire country is relatively unchartered on Google Maps, so not much to see there. I'm excited for your new adventure!
Good Luck! I really enjoyed the podcast you did on The Fellas. How can we follow you on this journey? Will you be posting on social media platforms or will there be a documentary?
How many kilometer do you expect to sail/row every day? Will there also be walking, if so, how much walking do you expect on the journey? Looking forward to following!
The first two weeks will be walking up the highest and second highest mountains. Then we’ll be kayaking, however - the distance depends…. There will be many times we’ll have to portage the kayaks due to falling trees, rapids etc 😅
What an insane adventure. Do you anticipate seeing any uncontacted communities, or discovering any new species? And do you have a satellite communication/location device to send a message in case of extreme emergency? Good luck on this expedition, wishing you the best👍
We don’t anticipate coming across any uncontacted tribes and if there are any signs of them, we’ll try our best to avoid. New species I believe we will come across, that haven’t yet been discovered 🤯 And yes, we have sat comms and heli evac, just incase. It’s gonna be insane 😅
@@AshDykesDude that is amazing. I really hope you discover a new species, that would be monumental. And lets hope you dont have to use the heli evac at all. And also not trying to say this in a berating or hateful way at all, but if you change your thumbnails and titles to something more captivating, you will get so much more engagement. Even adding some zooms/cuts to your videos and some suspenseful music would do wonders. You should be getting WAY more views for this type of adventure than you currently are. The only reason I found out about you is through Instagram reels, and I believe its because I already consume plenty of backpacking, hiking, and outdoor content. I shared this with all my friends to boost engagement, but genuinely you should be getting 100x the amount of views on your videos. And I know views and likes probably mean nothing to you, but earning more money from social media could help so much with funding future expeditions and exposing this lifestyle to others who are interested.
Sadly, this man is now in Suriname claiming to "discover" so called uncharted territories and illegally naming waterfalls and what not, completely disregarding the indigenous tribes who have lived here for thousands of years. In case you don't know, according to Dutch experts, the oldest bones found here date back to 10.000 years B.C. Further more, these territories are not uncharted, they're protected under law or otherwise very rarely visited.
You're a madman brother! Love the videos and can't wait to see how this unfolds. Good luck dude!
Haha thank you my man! It’s gonna be absolutely insane 😆

Good luck! this is going to be fantastic following the expedition. One question - How and why did you come up with this to do?
Thank you!! I was contacted by two lads who live in Suriname, they threw an idea my way that sounded so wild, I had to find a way to make it happen 😍

Legend ! How are you filtering water? do you have to be cautious of any disease?
I’ll be taking a water filtration bottle with me. Gotta be cautious for sure with the diseases…. Dengue fever is one we definitely don’t want 😅
Do you know if you’ll be passing any indigenous villages on the way ?
Towards the end we’ll come across some small communities, but I don’t think we’ll come across people for the first couple of weeks…..
Why not use a ladder out the helicopter?
It’s only a small helicopter, safer to jump 😅
The details include colonizing existing indigenous land.
