    Seeing the old prizes just makes me really sad.
    Today 330 SR$ gets you one medium sized meal and a drink, nothing else.
    That's how bad the inflation is in Suriname.

      Before 2010 it was NOT expensive, but since DUMB surinamese voters have chosen DIDIBRI as president for 10 years(!!!) everything is f.cked up. So why complaining NOW??!!!

    The language isn't Taki Taki it is call sranang tongo
    Taki taki literally means talk talk
    And we and sranang tongo Means
    Suriname language ( a language created in Suriname)
    Tongo = taal= language

      Dank je wel voor deze reactie.Toen ik het op de scherm zag,wilde ik meteen reageren hierop.Maar toen zag ik je reactie.Als we zelf dingen wat ons aangaan niet corrigeren, wordt het aangenomen voor waar, voor degenen die het niet weet.

    Nice to see you have visited my country and enjoyed the different snacks and food.
    Great to see and hear the opinion from another tourist.
    May I add some information: the inside of the roti is not peanuts, but it's grinded yellow split peas. We call it 'gele pesi'. There is another variant of the roti where the inside is potato.
    Furthermore, this is not the second generation of chinese in Suriname, but we are in the 5th or 6th generation already, because the first Chinese immigrants set foot here in 1853.

    Saoto it's actually soto version, they are Javanese descendants from island of Java in Indonesia, who brought soto soup to Suriname

      Look up food Suriname you can see videos up to 4 hours about people walking tru the capital city just to eat and walk

      @@user-uw7jz1xy9y yes my friend you must come visit our district Nickerie there is a place also called Bigi pan it's a big sight seeing place in Nickerie where birds are coming to breed like pink flamingo , rode Ibis and plenty more and there you can also go fishing but with the boat .
      Nickerie is also called rice district cause in Nickerie they plant and produce rice 🌾
