Snow made sure that Katniss watched Cinna get beat up and arrested right before the game starts to make Katniss emotionally fall apart and not be able to concentrate as a way to try and get her killed in the games this time. Snow knew Katniss and Cinna were close friends and treated each other like family and weren't just working together as tribute and stylist. That was the most evil thing Snow did to Katniss. I love the rage filled look on Katniss's face cause she figured out Snow was behind the act and immediately calmed down and concentrated on the game starting. All the other districts had multiple male and female winners. And even in 12 there were 2 male winners. The only one that was guaranteed to return was her. 4:11 - why didn't she just start shooting them?
range of the bow possibly? hard to tell how far away they are, but the further they are the less likely her arrows will do enough damage to make it worth wasting them.
@@josephpisacano4470 I don't think that range would matter because she was able to hit the arena's roof with an arrow even with the weight of a bunch of wire hanging from it and in her test scene she was able to hit an apple so she's really good at targeting what she wants to hit.
Katniss doesn't really kill unless it's self-defense. They weren't bothering her at that time, so she let them be. That and the fact that she looks too far away to shoot them anyway.
She doesn't want to kill anyone anymore. They're still humans too, and they're all angry about having to be back in the arena after winning before. Not to mention, they look pretty far away to get a precise shot.
Does anything happen if they move before the timer counts down?

How did Mags win her time
she was very young
iirc, she was 16 and was known for her ability to make fishing hooks, rods, and baskets out of any materials. So she was probably the most survival adept person, able to get food and water easily. I guess she could use those skills to make snare traps against competitors.
It IS kind of hard picturing that sweet, adorable lady win the hunger games 😂
Where’s the cannon sound what the hell?

There should be cannon fire for each death. Where is it?
In every single hunger games the canons don’t go through ff the first day until later on when the blood bath ends, because the initial bloodbath at the start of the games is too chaotic and way too many people die for the canon the keep up so they usually wait until that’s done and then fire the canons after
@@clover2739 Really? Because when Finnick killed a tribute, the cannon went off almost immediately.
@@lizziewhitby-davies2472 that’s how it’s supposed to be yeah
so you didn't heard properly. we have two cannon in this scene. one for the guys impaled by Finick. and one "during" the water fight.
for this one it's easy to see when he's done because katniss emotion change suddenly, fearing it was for Peeta.
They are there, but they're barely audible for some reason. I think someone's tampered with this video's sound.
Did the guy die
Why did Brutus not chase Katniss?
She was too far ahead. However, in the book Brutus actually does run towards the cornocopia and uses his flotation device as a shield to block Katniss’ arrows.
@@davidfairweather3301hm, interesting. Considering he hadn't done a hunger games since his victory - he probably thought it was best to not run after her (she's younger and faster).
@@MyhusbandrenamedmyhandleIn the movie the reason was probably because there was a bow. He had a guarantee to get shot at if he followed her because she was already too far ahead.
