Greetings Sush!! Thank you so much, I love it! There was a popular song in the 60's especially in the states called the Hurdy Gurdy Man. I believe the artist Donovan recorded it. He was from Scotland and very cool in his day! Now that I know what it is I really have to get one!! Suesue is going to hate both of us for that!!!!! Actually, I saw another one slightly different than the one in this video, but I'll take either one. (No, you won't says Sue....)
You’re very welcome Chris. I wish I was at or heading to work but sadly I’ve been benched🙁 Have a great day at work and be sure to tell me what you thought of the video when you get a chance to watch it. Peace
So glad you liked both versions. I actually heard the cover version first, but went back to check out the original. I absolutely love the cover, the original is pretty good too. Manowar is a metal band from upstate New York, been around since 1980. Not too familiar with their catalog right now. Feuerschwantz is German, fire tail is the translation I found. A medieval metal band started in 2004. Guest Thomas Winkler, the guy in the green armor and no head ware, you have seen before, he guested in Nanowar of Steel's Valhalleluja. He is the lead singer in Angus Mc Six, and formerly Angus Mc Fife of Gloryhammer. The guy with the beard, braids, and buzzed side of his head, is Alea of Saltatio Mortis. Melissa Bonney is lead singer for Ad Infinitum, and a band called Dark Side of the Moon. DSOTM also includes the lead guitarist from here, Hans Platz, and Jenny Diehl who is playing Hurdy Gurdy here. I knew you would get a kick out of the Hurdy Gurdy. lol, Feuerschwantz uses violins and flutes as well. Thanks again Jeff.
I haven’t heard of any of this before but as I’ve said before I hear more new music then familiar it seems, at least as far as I know.definitely a strong bass. Might have to send to my younger brother he messes around on the bass. Someday I want to find one of my original electric guitar. I’ve found them but it is over twice as much as I paid new somewhere around 40years ago. Rabbit 🐇 🐇 🐇 ………… trail again. Already read the comments back and forth in comments on the HurdyGurdy. Can’t say I’ve heard of it as an instrument. The 2 one of this song the male singer obviously reminds me of sabaton a little. Any how thank you and thanks Chris for the request. Take care and prayers. 🙏🙏🙏

@@Anothercoverlover62 Check out the Kings of Metal album. Its their second album and their most popular. Lots of different kinds of songs on it. Some say its the best metal album ever!
Manowar is called Kings of Metal for a reason. You simply cant go wrong with Manowar. Power, Fight Until We DIe, Hail and Kill, Battle Hyms, Achilles Agony, Power of Thy Sword etc etc etc etc etc etc or amazing ballads like Mountain, Master Of The Wind, Crown and the Ring etc etc etc
I loved covering this group on my channel! And, my bride and I have been reacting to Sabaton for years. So, I definitely want to do another MOW!! Thanks DB
You asked for a live performance of the Feuerschwanz version. Their whole concert at the world's largest metal festival in Wacken is on YT. The cover starts at 41:50 ruclips.net/video/jEc2C2waNhI/видео.htmlsi=nWW7nXBmm1KGRAcP
Meant to also say my wife and I have a separate reaction channel @suesueandthewolfman here on RUclips We react and comment on one band at a time, mainly from Scandinavia and Nordic countries All that to say, we’ve done quite a few from Wacken with the band Nightwish being the majority of those Thank you again!

@@Anothercoverlover62 If you are already in the symphonic metal rabbit hole (Nightwish, Epica, Xandria...) you may go down another one with a purely European crossover metal genre. Feuerschwanz is one of the many German medieval metal bands which use old instruments like bagpipes, hurdy gurdies and ancient wind instruments alongside the metal instruments. Most of them are members of Cosplay, LARP and other reenactment groups. Their customes are usually made by themselves. The band Saltatio Mortis (means "Dance of Death" in Latin) is known for their outstanding music videos. I can recommend their version of "My mother told me" (online for 2 years, 13 million views) ruclips.net/video/4dIiN57DQOI/видео.htmlsi=b_oKGA8fdTCgHIH0 and "Pray to the hunter", where more than 100 LARP people were involved ruclips.net/video/HIdHdw_8yJk/видео.htmlsi=W4hcp9Nc14z_zTTK
Nice reaction. The instrument you asked for is a Hurdy Gurdy (in german: Drehleier).
Greets from Germany
