Always fun watching people enjoying this 👍
Feuerschwanz (Fire Tail) started in 2004 as a parody band to counterpart the (sometimes overly) serious German medieval folk scene and have now evolved into a heavier folk metal band, more serious but still with a mostly light hearted attempt. Their original material is usually in German but in 2020 they started doing covers in english too.
All the guests on this track had collaborated with Feuerschwanz before. Swiss vocalist Thomas Winkler (formerly aka Angus McFife [when he was with the British power metal band Gloryhammer] now aka Angus McSix), the guy in the green armor, was guest on the live version on their cover of Ed Sheeran's I See Fire. Saltatio Mortis (Latin for Dance of Death) is a German medieval metal band, here represented by vocalist Alea der Bescheidene (Alea the Humble) the guy in black with the nice beard. Members of Feuerschwanz and Saltatio Mortis have worked with each other on several occasions. Melissa Bonny is from the French speaking part of Switzerland, her main band is the symphonic metal group Ad Infinitum (Latin for to infinity/ forevermore). She was guest singer on Feuerschwanz' cover of Ding (Thing), original by German based multi national Dancehall/ Reggae/ Hip Hop group Seeed.
To get a taste of their humorous side, check their cover of ABBA's 1979 disco pop song Gimme Gimme Gimme, if you like the heavier stuff I'd recommend SGFRD Dragonslayer, which is about the old tale of Sigurd/ Siegfried and him killing the dragon Fafnir.

2 AM over here and just watched your video... way to late right now for a longer comment, so for now, just a small info, that music instrumentt is a "Hurdy Gurdy", or in german, "Drehleier" and it is used a lot in the medieval metal genre. Longer comment after a full night of sleep.

Any kind of instrument really fits well into metal music. Please have closer look at Saltation Mortis. They are a German band, but have a few songs in English as well. I strongly recommend The Dragonborn Comes and Pray to the Hunter.

Nice video! I'm so glad to see you both on this musical discovery journey. I'm subscribing to your channel because this is the journey that I'm on as well.
Feuerschwanz makes some of the best music and videos around. That instrument you were asking about is a HURDY GURDY, an ancient stringed instrument with keys, dating from medieval times. You turn the crank, which turns a rosined wheel, on which one or more melody strings are resting, rubbing the string(s) (like a violin bow), producing sound. The instrument also has drone strings (tunable but otherwise fixed notes) that can be activated also if the player wishes, giving it a sound similar to a bagpipe. I play a hurdy gurdy myself.
If you want to review a hurdy gurdy song/video that is popular, check out Patty Gurdy's "The Longing."

Alright, now a longer comment... First, a big thank you for reacting to my suggestion, it makes me happy that you liked it!
I think I do not have to explain the band, @badmoonhorrors did a great job in the comments already.
I can see why you see similarities with Sabaton. Sabaton is a band that only sings about wars throughout the human history, while this one gives you a vibe of medieval warfare thanks to their outfits, the battle scene, and especially the 1v1 fight between Mieze Musch-Musch and Mieze Myu (yes, those are their official stage names because their outfits always contain something cat related and Mieze is a pet name for cats).
But those are completely different metal genres, while Feuerschwanz has become more serious nowadays, they started as a comedy medieval metal band and I still consider them to be in that genre, and I´d say Sabaton goes more into the power metal direction.
Finally, in the comments under another one of your videos I said that I consider to subscribe to your Patreon, and the Feuerschwanz video may seal the deal. I have some bigger expenses coming up, but I already suggested another song and you said you have put it on your list. I am going to postpone that subscription until you reacted to that one, but then it will happen!
P.S. More of their english cover songs can be found on their "Todsünden" (=Deadly Sins) album, and of course, here on RUclips!

Another good songs from them are "I see fire" " Metfest" and "Schubsetanz " the black metal version. And it gives another band who played on the same festivals. Their name is Saltatio Mortis . Good music and Videos. You should listen to " My mother told me " "The dragonborn comes " or "Pray to the hunter "
