Kel-n-Rich, I personally have known the lead singer of Manowar for several decades. I saw him for the first time when he was in his late teens and early twenties. His stage name is, Eric Adams. He has two sons named Eric and Adam. They hail from Auburn, NY. A year ago I asked Eric when he was going to retire and he said they had one more tour coming up which was last spring and the band was done playing after the tour was over. Most of the members of the band have been playing for over forty-five years. They are in their late sixties now and they’re all ready to retire and enjoy their personal lives.
I was a dedicate manowar fan in my youth, saw em in ..92( I think it was) in Copenhagen, denmark. I had tickets for their last concert in Århus, but sadly I missed it...
Manowar is The power metal kings, this particular song was my and a friends in The mood of party song before we out to party, it brings so many memories.
Oh man that was the Song our drill sergeant used to wake us up during my time in the Bundeswehr ( German army) and i loved it... so much energy and a great message behind it ! Good times ... united against evil !
Warriors of the World was always great at a Live Concert when every Voice sings along and the Hall literally shakes from the Sound and your Heart pounds in your chest from the heavy Bass

In 1992 Manowar played in Portugal for the first time. They were famous for playing LOUD... and they did !!! I had my ears buzzing for the next 3 days... :-) How I miss those times.

This song is very good at hype you up. Just as a side note, the album that this song is from (Warriors of the World from 2002) also comes with a song named The Fight For Freedom. Manowar added a footnote in the album dedicating this song to the victims of 9/11. This song also hits you right in the feels. I noticed that Kel mentioned that she enjoys Power Metal, especially when it is melodic. You definitely need to check Beast in Black, then. Manowar's specialty is power metal anthems. If you can, try to find live video footage of Manowar whenever you do them. The throngs and multitudes in non-English speaking Eastern European countries singing all the words. Their fans are rabid, and the anthems are legendary. Blood of the Kings and Fighting the World are my personal faves.
My favorite ManowaR songs are "battle hymn", "secret of steel", and "gloves of metal". While I think "secret of steel" is my personal favorire because it is like an epic from Richard Wagner..
