Start by listening to their classucs, Heart of steel, hail and kill, if you want to see what their vocalist is capable of you should listen to kingdom come in this song he literally blows the roof in the end. They are a huge band who love huge concerts and they set the record of the loudest band in the world by going over 130 dB (it's louder than a space shuttle taking off)
Welcome to the Kings Of Metal, yes we have army of Manowar, we are called "Immortals". Eric (singer) is considered one of the greatest of all time in metal scene, you need to hear him in real singing, real screams (his famous 40+ second high pitch scream in Hail and Kill). fun fact Manowar signed their first album contract with their own blood, they got two world guinnes records, one for loudest band in the world and second for longest live show with 5 hours and 1 minute in Bulgaria. Try to check "Hail and Kill" or very fast and I mean brutally fast "Power" or "Fight Until We Die" or incredible ballad "Mountains" or "Master Of The Wind" and of course they have the masterpiece, 28mins long epos better than anything else ever "Achilles Agony And Ecstasy In 8 Parts" ... that song sit on the throne of metal
I had the pleasure of seeing Manowar back in the late 80's, probably 1987 or 1988. Small little music hall club, probably 200 - 300 people. Was so nice to see them earlier in their career and to see the crowds they play to now. I will say one thing about them: I wasn't a big fan of them at all from hearing their recorded albums. A friend convinced me to go see them telling me I'd be a fan for life if I saw them live. He wasn't wrong. This is a live band all the way. They excel playing live. It's what they were meant to do. Go see them if you have a chance.
You are right about the cult following. Very few other bands have so loyal and dedicated fans spanning decades. I remember going to Tuska (open air metal festival) once in a Manowar shirt and it didn't take long for someone to show up, pat me on the shoulder and call me brother.
Listen to Guyana ( Cult Of The Damned ), Mountains, Defender or Master Of The Wind. If you like vocals. If you want Epics by Manowar, their are many. Start with Dark Avenger and just search a bit.
the "Sign Of The Hammer" is the gesture . Eric Adams is in top 5 of all time Metal singers , you should check out "Heart of Steel" , Master of the Wind" , Kingdom come , and for sure : "Battle Hymn" live is an epic performance
Don't forget Thunder in the sky, Wheels of Fire, God or Man, Mountains, Father, King of kings, Kingdom come, Master of the wind and all of the other songs. I like them all equally. I better stop fanboying before it gets annoying. 😅
Eric Adams in vocals is a metal priest , and the crowd have chills . What an epic band . '' Brothers everywhere , raise your hands into the air , we' re warriors , warriors of the world . Like thunder from the sky, sworn to fight and die , we' re warriors, warriors of the world '' That darn epic chorus . !!! Classic ! Immortals salute !
these guys have been going strong for over 40 years...their fanbase spans generations...Grandparents to grandchildren loving this shit. I was introduced to them in 1987 and have loved their music ever since. A German friend introduced me when I was an exchange student where our cities were sister cities.
Been to 2 gigs with Manowar, and it always feel like a 100% community experience. Army of the immortals unite! The hand sign is the sign of the hammer.
Gods Of War if you can find the official live version. Especially with your theater background I'm sure you'll love it. Heart Of Steel is another great one, or Mountains. There are a lot of really good ones but finding them on here can be tricky.
Manowar - you can truly call them a classic metal band in the best of all meanings, and in my opinion, every metalhead should see them live at least once in a lifetime!
They released their first album Battle hymns around 82 . Eric Adams is one of the best singer since the beginning of the heavy metal era. Do not listen to the words, listen to his voice. The range is insane.
Look them up & see if they're still touring or not & if so,try to get a ticket for the show or ask if there can open up for them, now that would be awesome if they let you open up for them & if not, then atleast you can see them in concert
I'd suggest Mountains live, Heart of Steel, the live version of Crown and the Ring, Battle Hymn live with all the members, Master of the Wind live. There's a huge number of great songs to choose from that show Eric Adams vocals
They were huge in the 80s - mid 90s, probably the reason you never heard them. Of course they still have their fanbase, and I just discovered I somewhat missed their last album published in 2020 after more than 20 years...so now I know what to do in the next hour 🤪
Absolutely love your reaction! Being a MANOWAR fan myself, I totally get the excitement. By the way, on my channel, I've covered a different MANOWAR song. It's fantastic to connect with fellow fans who share a passion for this legendary band. Keep up the great work, and let's keep the metal spirit alive!🤘😄
As far as crowd particiation, this is almost tame. The Manowarriors are a fanatical crowd. As for songs in praise of metal, this is the band. Metal Warriors next if that's your mood. Crowd participation, Heart of Steel, live in Lisbon. ruclips.net/video/hHGHAkFUPr0/видео.html If you'd stayed in Russia a little longer, you'd know about them, it's one of their biggest markets. Now you're in their home state and no one knows them. Eric Adams is a great frontman and a singer to put beside Bruce and Floor. The best sum of his singing art is Mountains. In the oficial site there's a version of Heart of Steel and the song Call to Arms, where he hits a fifth octave and a second octave note in the first verse.
You have to listen to secrets of steel,on of the best voices and songs ever, standing right there with Gillan , halford anyone you can think of, I'd reccomend the studio version though
the gesture is 'Sign of the Hammer'...its kind of a unique-ManoWar only gesture, like the 'rock horns', but a salute to the band from the fans, and visa versa
As others said, the hand gesture is the Sign of the Hammer, title of one of their songs and albums. It represents one hand (the one grasping the wrist) holding up a battle hammer (the clenched fist being the hammerhead, of course). I've seen Manowar a couple times live. Great times. The only problem is that you must wear musician's earplugs or something so you don't destroy your hearing. They are the loudest band in the world and play so loud that it hurts and it sometimes leads to equipment malfunction (happened at a Monsters of Rock show I attended).
The song "Heart of Steel" is their magnum opus. It is the lynchpin. It is the greatest heavy metal song in history. It is the standard by which all other metal bands and acts and songs are judged.
U really should do reaction of Accept - princess of the dawn 😉🤘 U will Love IT Everyone loves IT They brought the German heavy Metal Sound into the world 😉🤘😘
They formed in 1980 there from new York and kick ass if you want some more do the DEMON WHIP AND DIE FOR METAL AND RETURN OF THE WARLORD are a good start love this band there bigger over seas and there from USA
10:40 Well .. there IS no correct to part to stop at a song like this 😅 just kidding! 😉 But that you hardly can't stop that song, speaks for itself!! 😊🤘
They've been around since 1982 they e c en have a song that talks about MTV why don't you care about me, and their fans are everything to them, the hand grabbing the wrist is brothers of metal come together
If you want awesome from Manowar? Try The Demon's Whip. It's all dirty and sultry and then at a point it goes nuts at about 240 bpm. Or try Black Wind, Fire and Steel. It has a 31 second scream at the end.
Die for metal is fantastic also Sabaton does a cover of Kingdom Come by ManoWar So ManoWar first started late 70s early 80s they broke the Guinness record for loudest band the Frontman I believe his name is Eric Adams he has one of the most powerful vocals in heavy metal history. Him and Joey DiMaio I think that his name are the only og members the hand crasp is their symbol ManoWar is the OG kings of Metal. They were the type of metal band that you would listen to when transiting from bands like Black Sabbath to bands like Metallica, Megadeth, or Slayer.
Their prime was in the mid80s to early 90s. And they have always been controversial for being over- the- top sexist. So they never got any air play. They do have some absolute classics though. Their singer, Eric Adams, was elite in his prime. It is tough to find good live performances on youTube. One of my favorite songs is "Bridge of Death" from the Hail To England album. You will only find the album version, unfortunately. Other great songs are "Master of the Wind", "Defender", "Carry On", "Heart of Steel", "Hail To England"; "Hail and Kill" and not to forget "Black Wind Fire and Steel".
I dont know if i can tell anything about them. Only been a fan since 1989. Been to 13 concerts. I only can say that ehether its 200 or 35000 brothers and sisters around you. Its true metal Valhalla
Manowar fan here... but my experience seeing them in a Minneapolis club in 2014 was disappointing. They played less than 2 hrs (tickets were $100 each) ...played at low volume ☹and did not allow cell cameras and did not meet w/ fans either... ☹ Joey DeMaio (bass) & Eric Adams (vocals, real name Lou Marullo) are original members... but their best line-up was w/ Ross the Boss (guitar) & (the late) Scott Columbus (drums) from 1983 until 1988... their longest line-up was w/ Karl Logan (guitar) & Scott Columbus (drums, R.I.P.) from 1996 til 2008. This video was w/ Karl Logan & Donnie Hamzik (drums) Manowar was one of the first bands to base their career on ancient, medieval battles and wars. Formed in 1981 by bassist/songwriter Joey DeMaio and Ross Friedman (guitar, aka Ross the Boss) in New York after meeting on a Black Sabbath tour. Vocalist Lou Marullo became Eric Adams when he joined the band w/ drummer Donnie Hamzik... Their debut album 'Battle Hymns' was released in 1982 on Liberty Records, but failed to sell after Manowar was fired from a tour w/ Ted Nugent (they were apparently upstaging the headliner) Scott Columbus (drums) replaced Donnie Hamzik... Columbus was a powerful drummer who had to have steel-rimmed drums cos regular drums would break from his hits... They were approached by Jon & Marsha Zazula in 1983 to record a 2nd album 'Into Glory ride' for their indie label Megaforce Records. They crossed paths w/ Metallica, who (they deny it now... even the 'MetallicA' logo resembled the 'ManOwaR' logo 😂)admired Manowar... they recorded their debut album "Kill 'em all" in the same studio. In 1984, Manowar wanted to break into European markets and recorded 'Hail to England' in 1984 and 'Sign of the hammer' back to back ... Despite heavy metal breaking big worldwide, Manowar was more popular in Europe than N. America... Major label interest came in 1986 and they signed w/ Atlantic Records... 5th album 'Fighting the world' arrived in 1987 and got some MTV airplay. The Manowar fanbase (dubbed 'Manowarriors') called them the 'Kings of metal' and they embraced that accolade w/ their 1988 album 'Kings of metal'. However, creative & personal differences led to guitarist Ross the Boss being fired in 1988... David Shankle (guitar) replaced him for the tour... Scott Columbus soon quit the band as well (They claimed Columbus' son was sick and he needed time off... Columbus himself repeated that, but later said that "nothing was wrong w/ his son") ...Kenny Earl "Rhino" replaced him briefly. They recorded the epic album 'The triumph of steel' in 1992, but 90's grunge rock wiped out their popularity. Atlantic Records dropped the band. In '94, both Shankle & Rhino left Manowar... In 1996, Manowar was reborn w/ Scott Columbus(drums) rejoining w/ Karl Logan (guitar) and they released the album 'Louder than hell' on the Geffen label, but sales were not better in the USA, but South America embraced them w/ fervor, and so did Europe, Germany in particular... 2 double live CD's were issued in 1998 & 1999 - 'Hell on wheels, live' and 'Hell on stage, live'... After the 9/11 attacks on the US, Manowar released the 'Warriors of the world' album, back on indie labels... With power metal enjoying a comeback in the 2000's (Dragonforce, Kamelot, Nightwish, Hammerfall), Manowar released another epic album 'Gods of war' in 2007. They also had their own imprint Magic Circle Music. In 2009, Scott Columbus left Manowar a final time... A Manowar single 'Father' was released in a number of different languages. Rhino filled in on drums, before original drummer Donnie Hamzik was tapped to rejoin in 2011... the same year, it was announced that Scott Columbus has passed away; it was later revealed to be caused by suicide 😪 Manowar returned w/ 'The Lord of Steel' album in 2012, but the response was not as big... they re-recorded their first album 'Battle hymns' w/ Kark Logan & Donnie Hamzik, followed by re-recording the '88 album 'Kings of metal'. In 2016, Manowar announced that plans for 'The Final battle' world tour were underway... Donnie Hamzik had left the band. In 2018, guitarist Karl Logan was arrested and faced charges of child porn... he was fired as a result. Manowar recorded an EP 'The final battle I' in 2019 w/ session musicians... For their current tours, E.V. Martel (guitar) was tapped, and Anders Johansson (drums) joined Manowar... Johansson was a veteran drummer of Hammerfall and Yngwie J. Malmsteen.
You should listen to Saxon Deep purple Status quo Judas priest....all are British bands and have been around for over 40 - 55 years Deep purple 55 years...
Manowar is a quite underrated band, but MASSIVE like your own words. Due the copyright thing and legal questions, they arent usual have yuotube material (official). A suggest you to dig in. Eric Adams is the TOP % best metal singers ever. HAIL!

Manowar were the loudest band in the world for years- even had an entry in the guiness book of records. Great band to bang you head too..
10:23 Chile, my home. I was there in that unforgettable night. What a song...I have goosebumps every time i hear it. Great reaction Luna.
Heart of Steel and also Hail and Kill is a must from MANOWAR 😎🙏🏻 looking forward 😉

I'm a long term rock/metal fan and I've known of Manowar for years, but only recently first actually heard them, so you're not alone.
11:19 I have been in that crowd, and that show was INDEED fuckin' amazing! 🤗😀
(I even can be seen in the video, waving my SignOfTheHammer-Flag 😎)
Manowar- the Power, Return of the Warlord, Hail&kill
Ti carica di energia^_^
the three largest concerts in history all by this Band!
They were huge in the 80s - mid 90s, probably the reason you never heard them.
Of course they still have their fanbase, and I just discovered I somewhat missed their last album published in 2020 after more than 20 years...so now I know what to do in the next hour 🤪
No, no new album, it's a best of 😔

Nobody spits words like Eric Adams. His enunciation is just as legendary as his high notes.
SO GOOD to see people react to the all times great of old school heavy metal! thanks so much.
Never heard? They've only been around since 1980... And they are huge outside the US. Europe, Aisa and South America love them. Same with Iced Earth.
Battle hymn is a great song of this band!!! Greetings from Colombia
ManOwaR - Dark Avenger, Secret Of Steel, Bridge Of Death, Mountains, Defender, Heart Of Steel, Master Of The Wind, Outlaw, Nessun Dorma…
They should join the USO and play this for the deployed troops
You have to listen to secrets of steel,on of the best voices and songs ever, standing right there with Gillan , halford anyone you can think of, I'd reccomend the studio version though
The Clansman from Iron Maiden (Rock in Rio) is one you must listen to. They are great in concert. Keep up the great reactions!
they literally hold the world record for having the loudest concerts
them and Motörhead always kinda tossed that record towards each other back then, rip Lemmy
8:53 that (if no one has mentioned it in the comments) is the sign of the hammer.
the gesture is 'Sign of the Hammer'...its kind of a unique-ManoWar only gesture, like the 'rock horns', but a salute to the band from the fans, and visa versa
Manowar Forever!
Hail To My Brothers and Sisters Around The World!
Greetings from Sicily, Italy!
Listen my tribute to Manowar! WOTWU Project!
The enunciation of the lead singer of Manowar is phenomenal. If it is the same one I knew he has a five and a half octave vocal range.
Jesus...are that your vocal!!??? Congrats!!
Triumph of Steel - Agony and ecstasy
Power power power 🔥🔥🔥
8:51 It's called THE SIGN OF THE HAMMER 😎🤘😀

Удивляет в обзорщиках, что они не знают Мановар и тем более эту песню. КАК!!? Как, сцуко, можно быть музыкантом и не знать о Мановар?
Killer band yeah 🤘😆🤘👍
The song "Heart of Steel" is their magnum opus. It is the lynchpin. It is the greatest heavy metal song in history.
It is the standard by which all other metal bands and acts and songs are judged.
your music sounds fantastic...hails!
CROWN AND THE RING/MANOWAR IS EPIC!!!!!!!!....
Hell yeah 🔥🔥🔥they are KINGS OF METAL 💪💪💪
If you would like to feel the power of his voice, there is SOOOO many songs... but I would suggest Mountain, Master of the wind, heart of steel
Achilles, Agony And Ecstasy, Guyana, Hail And Kill, Defender or Nessun Dorma by Manowar should be next!
Do Defender, Battle Hymn (studio and live), Battle Hymns album in its entirety. Power is amazing. Hail and Kill

no flag-bearers were hurt during the making of this video heh, atleast i hope so.
You ask for suggestions : my favorites group for reaction videos are - Blind guardian - Powerwolf - Amaranthe and of course Iron Maiden.

Rhino filled in on drums, before original drummer Donnie Hamzik was tapped to rejoin in 2011... the same year, it was announced that Scott Columbus has passed away; it was later revealed to be caused by suicide 😪
Manowar returned w/ 'The Lord of Steel' album in 2012, but the response was not as big... they re-recorded their first album 'Battle hymns' w/ Kark Logan & Donnie Hamzik, followed by re-recording the '88 album 'Kings of metal'.
Malmsteen.
