I've seen a lot of reactions to Manowar, but you're the first to capture their essence - these remarks about dramatic pauses, etc. - Eric Adams is like playing in a theater, telling us the story in all the faces, his songs are a modern version of an ancient epic, and he himself is a modern bard. He is telling us the story, we are living it, including on very deep emotional level, because of a lot of techniques that Eric uses in his voice, intonations, etc. I listen to a lot of rock and metal, but Eric is the only one. Manowar is absolutely amazing! I got into them thanks to Dan Vasc and his covers of some of their songs. You should do some reactions to those, or any of Dan's songs. Right now, I'm totally obsessed with his covers of Breaking The Silence (done with Erik Grönwall), Angels We Have Heard On High(it's just that good by him!), Beyond Belief (done with John Schlitt, one of the singers that inspired him to become a singer), and My Immortal (an excellent cover that's closing in on 1M views). ManOwaR - Spirit Horse Of The Cherokee next!
You really need to checkout out Manowar performing Nessum Dorma.
I used to have a cockerel called Errol. This is his favourite song. He'd sit on my shoulder and I'd be listening to music, and when the intro to The Crown and the Ring played, he would stand up and puff out his chest.
And Guinness record for the longest heavy metal concert 5 hours and 1 minute in Kavarna, Bulgaria in 2008.
Manowar is the final band on my bucket list (I'm seeing the next to last one in September). I've been a fan of them since their first album in 1982. Absolute pioneers of power metal.
I love Manowar, I wish they'd come tour the US

One of the most misunderstood, underappreciated or unknown elements of a Live rock/metal show is the sense of Community! They are Pure Joy, Fun and brotherhood!
You chose so wisely Beth. My favourite example of Eric's vocals.
