Very similar to my situation. Skipped both Qingyi and Jane as I believed Anby and Piper are quite enough, now fall in love with both Ceasar and Burnice. Can't decide to skip either of them so chose to pull both.

Well the RNG gods made the decision for me already by deciding not to give me the king, so I'll save for Burnice. That's 2/2 lost fifty fifties so far.
Skipped 1.1 entirely, so I have enough for both Caesar and Burnice, I'll admit I got quite lucky on my Caesar pulls, and may even have enough for both their W-engines, and because I have Lucy's mindscape complete and only need 2 Nicole copies to complete hers, that's just a lot more free pulls once Burnice's banner comes along. 1.3 is not looking that interesting, so another skip patch to save for Miyabi, if the rumors of her coming on 1.4 are true
Well, the target is still Caesar, but seeing as she's on 70 pulls to hard pity and I'm fresh out of polys her future depends on how much I can scrounge up before her banner is over. If Caesar doesn't drop, Burnice would be guaranteed. I've got no Anomaly teams, but my S11 team might be able to use her if she's really viable for that, we'll see.
I was smitten by Burnice since I saw that she uses flamethrowers, that is such a fun weapon. And I am 100% sold on her after her story missions. Playstyle is probably the biggest factor if I am rolling for a character or not. I like Ceasars personality and vibe but I don't really love defense characters (she is the most fun of the bunch though with her special). That is also why I am not running Seth despite him appearing to be quite strong! So thanks for the breakdown, I had actually missed that her heat levels are relevant when she was offscreen, i thought it was a pure cooldown!
I thought it was just cool down too until I read through properly. Then I realised that when played correctly you can keep the fire effect up pretty much indefinitely. It’s pretty cool.
Seth isn't an on-field character like Ceasar tho, you only need to put him in slot 2, get a Perfect Counter on your slot 1 dps and enjoy his shield buff.
I just wish they added more hud (toggable for mobile devices) information, we currently only have our biological clock to count Disc and W engine bonuses and if they can come with creative ways (like Burnice and Ceasar's bars) to show character passives they definetely can make space for W engine and Disc drive passives. I also like the idea of Burnice being an off-field anomaly character, maybe Yanagi will also be the same and that brings the possibility of making teams even more varied, imagine being able to roll a team of 3 anomalies spamming disorders, 3 tanks parry assisting each other until the enemy gets stunned, running 3 stun characters rotating them to stun to death anything. Yes sitting on S11/Zhu Yuan or Ellen for 90% of the match is fun but if they keep it like that then game will become "save polychromes for limited DPS characters lmao"
1000% agree. The min/max instrumentation is so hit and miss. Some buffs are clear and quantitative in the UI, others are complete mysteries that you can only infer by clear time or making a frame by frame record of damage numbers. I also dislike that quantitative measures of enemy debuffs are only available for bosses and only when there is one left on the field.
Would you consider making a video covering the recent dev talk they put out? Stuff like the reworking of tv mode and the other quality of life changes.
Great vid as always! (Lol, loved the use of the "so warm" scene 😂) So... I initially wanted to pull Bernice, but after checking my account; Ceasar would be better for my account... I sadly lost the 50/50, and have around 25 pulls left. I'm gana wait for Bernice's banner and pull for Lucy, and hope I get lucky. Also; question: I only have Zhu, Quingyi, and Solder 11 (C3/M3)... I have no other S rank characters (I have literally only pulled Solder 11 in standard banner and losing 50/50) (I have every A rank at least C1) I still have my S 300 pull guarantee, but I'm at a situation... If I don't get Bernice in time, should I go for Lighter with my gaurentee or use the 300 pull guarantee for Koleda? Edit: forgot to mention; I have C5 Ben and C3 Lucy, both with signature W-engines (Rank 1)
It really depends on your account. I don’t think Koleda will be close to Lighter in terms of strength but it’s all guess work at this point and she would still be functional. See as we get more info closer to Lighter’s release and just stop pulling on standard so you don’t get the 300 for a few weeks.
I recommend going to soft pity on Burnice banner, try to get c6 lucy if possible. If you get an s rank then you got your burnice and if not then you have guaranteed lighter!

Lighter is a fire stun, so it is in the same category as Koleda. You probably dont want 2 characters that are same type and element. 300 pull selection should be a few patches away anyway ...
I feel like I am going to go for the 50/50 on Burnice. I don't really care about the 1.3 limited S-ranks so I'll be able to just save polychrome that patch for 1.4.
Imo the fact Caesar works in some anomaly teams as well as almost any other and burnice is limited to a niche, automatically makes Caesars the more investment worthy pick imho. And I say that as someone who runs Jane as my only limited main dps unit (Jane/Seth/Caesar team hits hard ASF too👌🏽).

@@takemeout5687 oh, I got Caesar, day one. My plan to build pity on Burnice's would only go ahead if I got Caesar on the 50/50, but I lost to 11 and spent everything else to get Caesar. Even if I get enough to make 20 pulls, I no longer feel like spending on her banner and I prefer to save from now on.
i pulled ceasar for my ellen team since i dont have lycaon i spent all of my pulls but there is a slight chance i will be able to save up for burnice (also ceasar is the tallest female character and i want uppies)
You might be better off waiting for Lighter to strengthen your S11 or Yanagi to be the base for a disorder team, S11 with Burnice is potential anomaly buildup overkill with diminished returns.
Gotta wait for Burnice just to fill my fire team. She'll be right at home with Piper and Koleda. (Or Lucy) I think its good to fill all attribute teams especially if you low spender of f2p. Caesar is great if you need to close some gaps in your teams. I really need to know what is her w-engine
The smartest play for you would be to not waste resources on Burnice and to build Soldier who is on the bench. F2P want a DPS on all elements. You already have Soldier so Burnice is a luxury pickup. Nothing wrong with that, it is a waifu game after all. But low resource players need to be smarter with their limited pulls. Or you can be like me and focus on vertical investment and have 6 really strong agents who can clear everything despite resistance but admittedly that’s less fun.
Pulled Caesar AND will pull Burnice because she's a versatile defense unit and because 1.3 units fill roles that Koleda and Grace are already in. Skipping Qingyi and hitting the 50/50 on Caesar should provide enough pulls if I also hit the 50/50 on Burnice.
Yanagi leak she is an on field character So Burnice becomes even more important Even if Yanagi is an off field she is electric so different element so its not she will replace Burnice Yanagi being a spear user make sense as on field character Leak say she have two stance - different attacks on each stance So she is definitly on field

Maybe you wanna reconsider not building pity as A rank cinema matters, Burnice’s A rank is double support Lucy and Nicole while Caesar is Anton and Piper.
idk, Burnice does not open a fire team, and it looks like Yanagi will be similar, they will not be dpslike (like Jane), so I think I will keep saving and building my characters for future dps, and saving polys of course (building Koleda, Lucy, Soukakku , farming better disks for my existing teams and such).
I still haven't figured out how to use Soukaku... I stopped leveling her up because I was just having horrible results. But after accidentally getting Caesar I am going to save my pulls for the next 6 months or whatever...

My SO and I are both waiting on Burnice. Even though we both know Ceasar would be a damn rock to our accounts. Burnice is just too cute and the kit too fun to pass up. Tbh, my Jane team doesn't need a shield. She's so good at dodging that I really just want more off-field dmg instead.
Ok Im not very smart on these things so maybe you explained it in the video and I didnt catch it. So here is a small question on Burnice. I understood she applies fire anomaly and leaves some status effect that allow other party members to keep on inflicting the fire anomaly while hitting affected enemies. So lets say I apply said effect on an enemy and then switch to Jane, she would build up physical anomally AND fire anomally while hitting an enemy. Then, when the anomally is complete, it would trigger 3 things> Assault + Burn + Dissorder, dealing some obscene damage. Would that be correct or did I understand her wrong?
Depends on your existing teams. If you like anomaly stuff or the idea of a fire team, then Burnice would work. If you prefer comfort and versatility then probs Caesar.
Def getting Bernice. Especially after playing her through the section of the story, she is just toooo fun. Just hoping I get lucky and don't need to full pity her
She looks so rad. My two teams are Zhu Yuan and the fire and physical characters not named Jane, so I have lots of formations to try with Burnice. And yeah, seems like someone I'd put on any more typical Anomaly team, so looks to be good value no matter what... Plus... She's very cute and I want to get her with Pulchra, even if they don't synergize. :)
They limited it to every 1.5 seconds, so that's balanced, but imagine Jane/Piper SPEEN while Burnice procs for every hit. Better yet, take what I just suggested, and remember Lucy gets 3 boars. The dream isn't dead, but MAN that would have been amazing. Also, reminder that because Jane makes anomalies CRIT, when no one else does, Burnice pairs extraordinarily well with Burnice. The assault AND burn will proc crit, and maybe that also pumps your disorder damage too. I think if you ever do a re-run banner video, the suggestion to pull Jane and Burnice on the same account might be a good idea, since that synergy is unique to the two of them alone. Plus by then we'll have had time to get Seths and other anomaly supports, to really get the most out of it. TL;DR SAVE NOW
She looks like she'll be the final piece for the Grace disorder comp to fully come on line, which i'm excited for. The current disorder teams kinda work but they feel pretty copium, lol.
I have about 250 pulls and a dream that both will be mine! Didn't really care about them before 1.2 but now, now I want them both! So hopefully my luck is with me just this once. I don't even care if I have a team for them I just want them especially Burnice.
I pulled Caesar because she felt really really really good to play as someone who forced Ben in pretty much almost all my teams until now because i love love looove the counter / parry mechanic so much. Thankfully i got her on my first Hard pity, then managed to pull for her W-Engine after loosing the 50/50 for it (I got Nekomatas while not owning her :C) Now thankfully im just saving up to see if i MAYBE can get her too. But thats highly unlikely, ill just pull regardless because at least it will lower Pity! I did not pull for Quingy at all and managed to Pull Jane Doe on my first 20 pulls because i wanted Seth (which was insane luck i realize)
I pull for play-feel and fun and I said before 1.2 dropped that I'd reserve judgement until I could play both Caesar and Burnice in 1.2 story mode and audition stage. Well, I've done that now and the judges have made their decision: No to Caesar, Yes to Burnice, and it's not even close. My favorite agents so far are Nekomata and Jane, so I clearly have a type for speed and flashy CQC in-your-face fighting. Honestly, Burnice could have nothing in her kit and I'd still pull her. Her moveset is so smooth, dance-like and spectacular that I was sold instantly. Ironically, I'd tend to avoid any kit that needs a full page of legal fine-print to explain how it works, as those tend to be buggy and niche, but since her kit is just icing on the cake for me anyway, I'm looking forward to taking my time play-testing and puzzling out how her kit works to maximize it.
ive got 16 until S rank and like almost 30 summons saved up, I kinda wanted caesar but then i played burnices trial and thought yep im definitely going for burnice instead, she seems more fun to use and zooweemama her and jane on the same team 😛
I skipped Jane Doe and I don't have Soldier 11. I got Caesar already and still have 25000 polychromes. Should I pull for Burnice or wait for other characters since I don't have any anomaly team nor a fire damage dealer?
Maybe... She would work pretty well on a Caesar Piper Burnice team, where most of the onfield time would be Piper. Eventually you could consider upgrading Piper with Jane but Piper is still solid.
I want to pull her cause I have grace I had been from the start but i still cant decide on the third yet. My firs team being Jane, Seth and Lucy, im thinking Grace, Burnice and Piper for the second one I'd gladly take any recommendations
Might work for now and then eventually Jane, Seth, Burnice and a more traditional Attack, Stun, Support for the second team. Maybe Miyabi or Zhu Yuan on rerun?

Luckily, I won the 50/50 on Caesar and just like you my main team is Jane-Seth, So I think I might be able to grab Burnice. Honestly is pretty Easy to move Caesar around to another Team and I think that's the true value of Caesar, she allows you to move teams around and fill the empty slots pretty good. Also, Burnice in the trial seems badly built, pretty sure the Burnice we can build will be better. Keep the Great Content!
I really wanted to try and pull for both because I love piper and lucy, I NEED THE OTHER BIKERS, but I spend TOO MUCH on Caeser. I really want to get burnice badly. :'(
But...but...I WANNA get into Burnice like that A friend gifted me a BUNCH of chrome (dude's a legend!) and so I got Ceasar, and should have enough to get Burnice too, unless I lose my 50/50. I need fire, don't have Soldier 11 or Koleda.
Only started playing near the end of Qingyi's banner, so Jane is my only limited S-rank so far. But I really like the anomaly playstyle, so I'm also skipping Caesar and pulling Burnice. Really looking forward to Yanagi too, and of course Miyabi whenever she actually decides to come out (praying for 1.4).
As I said, Caesar drained my account dry, and I had to pull 150 for her after losing 50/50 to S11(great pull, not complaining at all, I wanted her for a long time.) And I originally had 30 pulls left from Caesar and wanted to pull them for Burnice in the lucky shot of getting her + Lucy/Nicole copies. But today Yanagi and Lighter's gameplay was leaked and holy wow, I am speechless how good Yanagi animations are. I've decided to skip Burnice's banner entirely for sake of Yanagi and with Miyabi's banner slowly approaching I can't afford to pull for characters I "kinda want". I really hope Yanagi is an on field anomaly like Jane because from her animations she certainly looks like it.

Honestly watching this video makes me realize I dont really want burnice since the team that needs upgrading is my zhu yuan so ill wait for lighter leaks to see if hes good with zhu yuan and if not I may consider getting ceasar or just save for qingyi and her w-engine for a better upgrade
I would argue that the reasons you would want Burnice are the same for Yanagi. And since there's a lot of Miyabi wanters here I would say that if you don't use other sons of Caledon members, picking Yanagi is better for team synergies.
I wonder if hoyo gonna make Miyabi into an anomaly char, because Yanagi is a disorder buffer and Harumasa is probably also going to be from electric element and cant proc disorder. So it make sense if they did it to make her synergize with Yanagi.
i have a Eletro Team (Anton, Nicole, Grace) and a Ice Team (Ellen, Soukaku, Anby) and with Burnice im gonna have the Disorder (with Grace and Seth) and the Fire (With Lucy and Soldier 11) Teams... and after that i will get Jane and Caesar in their reruns and also make a Physical Team. But right now i REALLY need Burnice because shes my favorite girl in the game right know (Jane, Rina, Lucy and Ellen are right behind her on the list lol)
I had the most above average luck moment, I reasoned that since lighter and yanagi have roles already existing in the game, I could skip one or both, and throw some pulls at Caesar thinking I'd skip if I missed the 50/50. At 60 pulls I got double S ranks, and it was Caesar and her M1. On top of that chapter 4 quickly made her into one of my favorite characters, I'm currently close to 10k polychroms again so I feel much more comfortable pulling for burnice with the original plan
Her banner is really good too with 2 follow up agents are nicole and lucy. Both of them are flexible to build a team especially you can run nicole with almost every team and m2 lucy just make you much easier to play
Well, as F2P I got Qingyi* and Jane cost me 155 pulls, so I'm skipping SoC by necessity. Maybe I'm lucky at 50/50 for Burnice, I think anomaly is my favorite playstyle right now. Hopefully she has better 4* than Caesar :D * I believe I also lost 50/50 for her, as I lost Jane's 50/50 for M1 Koleda, and my first-50 5* is Lycaon.
i pretty much have your exact team composition and yeah burnice just seems more fun so she is going in the jane team. i consider putting burnice, piper and lucy as my second team as well though, since jane and seth can still easily "solo"

I’ll be pulling for Burnice for sure. She definitely fits my roster the best and I like her a lot from the story. Yanagi isn’t calling my name, so I’ll have to see more about Lighter and MAYBE I’ll pull for him to bolster my fire numbers, but we’ll see!
i didnt know Burnice was pullable. I got Ceaser 1st pull and figured,"Welp, hype is over for me now." Im still pissed off about Jane's event. damn near redeyed that entire event, even dropped a couple $20s for polys. (yea, i know. im a dirty pay pig.) after 7 pulls and on the last day of the event, FINALLY got an S pull and was super excited! wall spins around, im skipping the W-Engines so i can see my girl Jane and what do i get....... SOLDER 11!!!!!!! *Flips desk again*
no pulling for Burnice for me XD. I caved and went for Ceasar because she's so cute. Was gonna pull for Burnice first but then i found out that Ceasar is so flexible that she can easily fill any slot need (which i did) i also got Grace in the Ceasar banner as i failed my 50/50 so i kinda feel like Grace fills the same function in my Jane Doe team my teams now are Ellen/Soukaku/Ceasar (replaced Koleda) and Seth/Jane Doe/Grace (replaced Lucy) and Grace really enables the easy disordders already and i don't feel like i'd need Burnice for that. but most importantly i just love Ceasar way more. I can skip Burnice/Lighter/Yanagi (she seems cool though)/Miyabi with ease. All i REALLY want right now is just a Ellen rerun so i can pull for her W-engine
i MIGHT get burnice if i ever end up getting enough resources for her... currently only have 70 pulls in my bank after getting lucky with caesar and her wengine 🗣🗣
I don't have Jane and none of my anomaly units are built at all (sorry Grace and Piper), so Burnice feels like an easy skip. We'll see if I regret this later when they announce a new anomaly character, but my resources are so dry that I have to start saving somewhere...
Caesar is just way too good to pass. She provide you with invulnerability, that allows you to continue your combo when you have other ennemies that attacks you, not even talking about the huge 1000attack boost It allows my zhu yuan/ellen to not be interrupted, and makes the gameplay so smooth. Don’t get me wrong, burnice seems nice, but she’s just a dps, and we already got 3 of them since the start, supports will be way harder to powercreep like always
I have Jane do I was originally going to skip Caesar for burnice but after counting all the pulls I had and would get in 1.2 (around 150 total) I decided to pull for Caesar as she would be a great pickup for my zhu yuan team to replace anby and I got her at 58 pity after a total 60 pulls. So now I’m going for burnice next and hope to win the 50/50 again (which I’ve done 3 times in a row now 😅(zhu yuan, Jane and Caesar) after having lost a 50/50 for Ellen to Lycaon just to get her on the next 10 pull) (yes I’ve been getting pretty lucky on 50/50 tho I almost always had to go to soft pity) Edit : I also got Jane’s engine with 66 pulls so I would’ve been at 216 pulls for 1.2
Going into 1.2, I wasn't too sold on either Caesar or Burnice and figured I'd spend this time building tapes...until I stumbled onto a demo reel of Lighter's in-game moveset. I think I get the fervor of the Miyabi folks, 'cause Koleda be damned...I'm going for an M6 Lighter. He's just so COOL, damn it! Fingers crossed they do something mindblowingly unique with him, but it won't be swaying my determination if they don't.
I said I would skip Jane and Caesar for Burnice. I haven't skipped any of them...dammit Mihoyo, stop making characters I absolutely adore, not just visually but narratively. (I'm still pulling for Burnice)
Lost 50/50 to Rina at 81 pulls, got Caesar on 10 pulls later and 1 tap her W-Engine. I almost lost hope but now I can start saving again for Burnice, 1k6 polychromes till Burnice banner🤘
A disorder team looks fun so baded on how much polycrhome i have when see drops i might go for it. Jane will always be waifu #1. Even though i will have to user her for my team 2 (burnice) instead of using anton.

I was just saving for Miyabi, and considering Yanagi depending how she might pair with Miyabi... buuut Soldier 11 graced my account about 30 pulls early on the standard banner a few days ago. And I *wanted* to get her, since I'd prefer her playstyle over my dear Nekomata's quickswapping, AND I happen to have her weapon already... ...So yeah, I think I'm actually gonna spring for Burnice! I already have Piper and Lucy too, anyway. 😁
I took one look at Caesar's gameplay and said, "oh, that's going to be extremely meta, to a brainrot degree." And, well, I already have the full mono-ice team as well as Zhu Yuan if I wanted to play meta, plus I barely snagged Jane as well. Don't get me wrong, Caesar is a great character from a "waifu" stance (though she's less "waifu" and more "befriend her and give her headpats" for me). And I technically pulled Jane almost entirely from a waifu stance myself. But, much like you said, I thought trying an anomaly team would be fun... and I pretty much instantly fell in love with Burnice's character _and_ gameplay over the course of the MSQ. Her function feels like a fusion of Billy and Corin, the latter of which was my favorite DPS to run before I started picking up S-Ranks, but with a satisfying tactical support function that gets me thinking, sort of why I liked running Rina. And, as much as fire is basically the opposite of my spiritual favorite element, ice, Burnice's entire character is both adorable and relatable. Kinda wanna cosplay her, to be honest. Also, the whole concept of building a team around Disorder appeals to my funny space dwarf brain, because it's basically Temperature Shock from Deep Rock Galactic, which is, in my humble opinion, one of the most satisfying gameplay mechanics ever designed. Tossing a cryo grenade and freezing a group of bugs, then blasting them with my incendiary shotgun and hearing the distinct juicy _k-pewshhhh!_ as they instantly evaporate... never gets old. (I await your ROCK AND STONEs in my replies...)
I want both Caesar and Burnice, but more Burnice. I still have tons of polys to collect, but I do have enought polys to do about 130 pulls right now. I think I'll do 5 10 pulls for Caesar, and if I get her, great, if I get a 5* other than her, I would have guaranteed Burnice, and if no 5*, I would have bought some pitty for Burnice, and should have more than enough time to build enough pulls in case I lose the 50/50 and guarantee Burnice.
Solid planning, but if I could get burnice in those 5* 10 pulls, I could start saving for miyabi. Section 6 looks good if murimasa (may spelled name wrong) is an electrical attacker that we don't have yet.
@@AverageLuckGamer Update. I caved in. 60 pulls, got Soldier 11. Eff it, we ball. 80 pulls, got Caesar and then Nekomata, on the same 10 pull, on that order. So now I got Burnice guaranteed, and am currently sitting on 20 pulls + all the polys we got to collect, haven't even started chapter 4. I won big time.
Got Caesar after 81 pulls, and now I’ve got 114 tapes left. I’m continuing to save more and with my pity at 85 right now, I need only 61 more to guarantee Burnice. I’m sure I’m going to have enough for that soon, if not before Burnice’s banner ends, so I’m planning on pulling Caesar’s banner just a little bit more to try to get two more Pipers and max her out at C6. I’m relieved and excited to see my has been working! I’m not a fan of Yanagi’s design, and I’ve got Grace on my second team anyway, so she’s an easy skip for me. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get Burnice without spending too many pulls, and have enough for Lighter when he comes around, but if I don’t manage to get him, then no sweat. Burnice would be great and is my new priority, but I won’t be too broken up if I miss her this time around. Caesar was my #1 wish and I’ve already got her, so I’m very satisfied. Lack of TV mode aside, 1.2 has otherwise been a fantastic patch!
After getting Jane, anomaly became my favorite. It's so fun and Jane is really fun. I have also been a person who loves fire types (pokemon, genshin, star rail, etc.) so burnice is looking like a perfect addition to my characters! Especially since I just love her design and how crazy she is lmao

Very similar to my situation. Skipped both Qingyi and Jane as I believed Anby and Piper are quite enough, now fall in love with both Ceasar and Burnice. Can't decide to skip either of them so chose to pull both.

I lost my 50/50 for Zhu Yuan Qingyi and Jane. I'm skipping Caesar for her and I pray don't lose 4 50/50s in a row.
Skipped 1.1 entirely, so I have enough for both Caesar and Burnice, I'll admit I got quite lucky on my Caesar pulls, and may even have enough for both their W-engines, and because I have Lucy's mindscape complete and only need 2 Nicole copies to complete hers, that's just a lot more free pulls once Burnice's banner comes along. 1.3 is not looking that interesting, so another skip patch to save for Miyabi, if the rumors of her coming on 1.4 are true

I don't have enough for both Caesar and Burnice, but I'm gonna skip Miyabi, Yanagi and Lighter. So I'll be able to get the one I miss on the rerun.
I personally don't recommend rolling for character engines, unless you do it once or twice for your absolute favorite characters on a rerun
Well, the target is still Caesar, but seeing as she's on 70 pulls to hard pity and I'm fresh out of polys her future depends on how much I can scrounge up before her banner is over.
If Caesar doesn't drop, Burnice would be guaranteed. I've got no Anomaly teams, but my S11 team might be able to use her if she's really viable for that, we'll see.
I was smitten by Burnice since I saw that she uses flamethrowers, that is such a fun weapon. And I am 100% sold on her after her story missions. Playstyle is probably the biggest factor if I am rolling for a character or not. I like Ceasars personality and vibe but I don't really love defense characters (she is the most fun of the bunch though with her special). That is also why I am not running Seth despite him appearing to be quite strong!
So thanks for the breakdown, I had actually missed that her heat levels are relevant when she was offscreen, i thought it was a pure cooldown!
I thought it was just cool down too until I read through properly. Then I realised that when played correctly you can keep the fire effect up pretty much indefinitely. It’s pretty cool.
Seth isn't an on-field character like Ceasar tho, you only need to put him in slot 2, get a Perfect Counter on your slot 1 dps and enjoy his shield buff.
I just wish they added more hud (toggable for mobile devices) information, we currently only have our biological clock to count Disc and W engine bonuses and if they can come with creative ways (like Burnice and Ceasar's bars) to show character passives they definetely can make space for W engine and Disc drive passives.
I also like the idea of Burnice being an off-field anomaly character, maybe Yanagi will also be the same and that brings the possibility of making teams even more varied, imagine being able to roll a team of 3 anomalies spamming disorders, 3 tanks parry assisting each other until the enemy gets stunned, running 3 stun characters rotating them to stun to death anything. Yes sitting on S11/Zhu Yuan or Ellen for 90% of the match is fun but if they keep it like that then game will become "save polychromes for limited DPS characters lmao"
1000% agree. The min/max instrumentation is so hit and miss. Some buffs are clear and quantitative in the UI, others are complete mysteries that you can only infer by clear time or making a frame by frame record of damage numbers. I also dislike that quantitative measures of enemy debuffs are only available for bosses and only when there is one left on the field.
Would you consider making a video covering the recent dev talk they put out? Stuff like the reworking of tv mode and the other quality of life changes.

So... I initially wanted to pull Bernice, but after checking my account; Ceasar would be better for my account...
I sadly lost the 50/50, and have around 25 pulls left. I'm gana wait for Bernice's banner and pull for Lucy, and hope I get lucky.
Also; question: I only have Zhu, Quingyi, and Solder 11 (C3/M3)... I have no other S rank characters (I have literally only pulled Solder 11 in standard banner and losing 50/50) (I have every A rank at least C1) I still have my S 300 pull guarantee, but I'm at a situation... If I don't get Bernice in time, should I go for Lighter with my gaurentee or use the 300 pull guarantee for Koleda?
Edit: forgot to mention; I have C5 Ben and C3 Lucy, both with signature W-engines (Rank 1)
It really depends on your account. I don’t think Koleda will be close to Lighter in terms of strength but it’s all guess work at this point and she would still be functional. See as we get more info closer to Lighter’s release and just stop pulling on standard so you don’t get the 300 for a few weeks.
I recommend going to soft pity on Burnice banner, try to get c6 lucy if possible. If you get an s rank then you got your burnice and if not then you have guaranteed lighter!

Lighter is a fire stun, so it is in the same category as Koleda. You probably dont want 2 characters that are same type and element. 300 pull selection should be a few patches away anyway ...

Caesar is good for Soldier. But my bets are on Lighter being the best in slot. Soldier is just going to dilute the anomaly damage of burnice.

Even if I get enough to make 20 pulls, I no longer feel like spending on her banner and I prefer to save from now on.

You might be better off waiting for Lighter to strengthen your S11 or Yanagi to be the base for a disorder team, S11 with Burnice is potential anomaly buildup overkill with diminished returns.

The smartest play for you would be to not waste resources on Burnice and to build Soldier who is on the bench. F2P want a DPS on all elements. You already have Soldier so Burnice is a luxury pickup.
Nothing wrong with that, it is a waifu game after all. But low resource players need to be smarter with their limited pulls.
Or you can be like me and focus on vertical investment and have 6 really strong agents who can clear everything despite resistance but admittedly that’s less fun.

Maybe you wanna reconsider not building pity as A rank cinema matters, Burnice’s A rank is double support Lucy and Nicole while Caesar is Anton and Piper.
idk, Burnice does not open a fire team, and it looks like Yanagi will be similar, they will not be dpslike (like Jane), so I think I will keep saving and building my characters for future dps, and saving polys of course (building Koleda, Lucy, Soukakku , farming better disks for my existing teams and such).
I still haven't figured out how to use Soukaku... I stopped leveling her up because I was just having horrible results.
But after accidentally getting Caesar I am going to save my pulls for the next 6 months or whatever...
Sukakou isnt for dps damage she only aids ur team with one thousand atk and the swing jazz 4 pc bonus so do that @@1O1O11

My SO and I are both waiting on Burnice. Even though we both know Ceasar would be a damn rock to our accounts. Burnice is just too cute and the kit too fun to pass up. Tbh, my Jane team doesn't need a shield. She's so good at dodging that I really just want more off-field dmg instead.
Ok Im not very smart on these things so maybe you explained it in the video and I didnt catch it. So here is a small question on Burnice.
I understood she applies fire anomaly and leaves some status effect that allow other party members to keep on inflicting the fire anomaly while hitting affected enemies.
So lets say I apply said effect on an enemy and then switch to Jane, she would build up physical anomally AND fire anomally while hitting an enemy. Then, when the anomally is complete, it would trigger 3 things> Assault + Burn + Dissorder, dealing some obscene damage.
Would that be correct or did I understand her wrong?

Depends on your existing teams. If you like anomaly stuff or the idea of a fire team, then Burnice would work. If you prefer comfort and versatility then probs Caesar.
Caesar is just zhongli in ZZZ. So i will not get her or Burnice. Im saving for Miyabi.

She looks so rad. My two teams are Zhu Yuan and the fire and physical characters not named Jane, so I have lots of formations to try with Burnice. And yeah, seems like someone I'd put on any more typical Anomaly team, so looks to be good value no matter what... Plus... She's very cute and I want to get her with Pulchra, even if they don't synergize. :)
They limited it to every 1.5 seconds, so that's balanced, but imagine Jane/Piper SPEEN while Burnice procs for every hit. Better yet, take what I just suggested, and remember Lucy gets 3 boars. The dream isn't dead, but MAN that would have been amazing. Also, reminder that because Jane makes anomalies CRIT, when no one else does, Burnice pairs extraordinarily well with Burnice. The assault AND burn will proc crit, and maybe that also pumps your disorder damage too.
I think if you ever do a re-run banner video, the suggestion to pull Jane and Burnice on the same account might be a good idea, since that synergy is unique to the two of them alone. Plus by then we'll have had time to get Seths and other anomaly supports, to really get the most out of it.

I pulled Caesar because she felt really really really good to play as someone who forced Ben in pretty much almost all my teams until now because i love love looove the counter / parry mechanic so much.
Thankfully i got her on my first Hard pity, then managed to pull for her W-Engine after loosing the 50/50 for it (I got Nekomatas while not owning her :C)
Now thankfully im just saving up to see if i MAYBE can get her too. But thats highly unlikely, ill just pull regardless because at least it will lower Pity!
I did not pull for Quingy at all and managed to Pull Jane Doe on my first 20 pulls because i wanted Seth (which was insane luck i realize)

I pull for play-feel and fun and I said before 1.2 dropped that I'd reserve judgement until I could play both Caesar and Burnice in 1.2 story mode and audition stage. Well, I've done that now and the judges have made their decision: No to Caesar, Yes to Burnice, and it's not even close. My favorite agents so far are Nekomata and Jane, so I clearly have a type for speed and flashy CQC in-your-face fighting. Honestly, Burnice could have nothing in her kit and I'd still pull her. Her moveset is so smooth, dance-like and spectacular that I was sold instantly. Ironically, I'd tend to avoid any kit that needs a full page of legal fine-print to explain how it works, as those tend to be buggy and niche, but since her kit is just icing on the cake for me anyway, I'm looking forward to taking my time play-testing and puzzling out how her kit works to maximize it.

Maybe... She would work pretty well on a Caesar Piper Burnice team, where most of the onfield time would be Piper. Eventually you could consider upgrading Piper with Jane but Piper is still solid.

Luckily, I won the 50/50 on Caesar and just like you my main team is Jane-Seth, So I think I might be able to grab Burnice. Honestly is pretty Easy to move Caesar around to another Team and I think that's the true value of Caesar, she allows you to move teams around and fill the empty slots pretty good. Also, Burnice in the trial seems badly built, pretty sure the Burnice we can build will be better. Keep the Great Content!

A friend gifted me a BUNCH of chrome (dude's a legend!) and so I got Ceasar, and should have enough to get Burnice too, unless I lose my 50/50. I need fire, don't have Soldier 11 or Koleda.
Only started playing near the end of Qingyi's banner, so Jane is my only limited S-rank so far. But I really like the anomaly playstyle, so I'm also skipping Caesar and pulling Burnice.

As I said, Caesar drained my account dry, and I had to pull 150 for her after losing 50/50 to S11(great pull, not complaining at all, I wanted her for a long time.) And I originally had 30 pulls left from Caesar and wanted to pull them for Burnice in the lucky shot of getting her + Lucy/Nicole copies. But today Yanagi and Lighter's gameplay was leaked and holy wow, I am speechless how good Yanagi animations are. I've decided to skip Burnice's banner entirely for sake of Yanagi and with Miyabi's banner slowly approaching I can't afford to pull for characters I "kinda want". I really hope Yanagi is an on field anomaly like Jane because from her animations she certainly looks like it.

Honestly watching this video makes me realize I dont really want burnice since the team that needs upgrading is my zhu yuan so ill wait for lighter leaks to see if hes good with zhu yuan and if not I may consider getting ceasar or just save for qingyi and her w-engine for a better upgrade
I would argue that the reasons you would want Burnice are the same for Yanagi. And since there's a lot of Miyabi wanters here I would say that if you don't use other sons of Caledon members, picking Yanagi is better for team synergies.

I wonder if hoyo gonna make Miyabi into an anomaly char, because Yanagi is a disorder buffer and Harumasa is probably also going to be from electric element and cant proc disorder. So it make sense if they did it to make her synergize with Yanagi.
i have a Eletro Team (Anton, Nicole, Grace) and a Ice Team (Ellen, Soukaku, Anby) and with Burnice im gonna have the Disorder (with Grace and Seth) and the Fire (With Lucy and Soldier 11) Teams... and after that i will get Jane and Caesar in their reruns and also make a Physical Team. But right now i REALLY need Burnice because shes my favorite girl in the game right know (Jane, Rina, Lucy and Ellen are right behind her on the list lol)

I had the most above average luck moment, I reasoned that since lighter and yanagi have roles already existing in the game, I could skip one or both, and throw some pulls at Caesar thinking I'd skip if I missed the 50/50. At 60 pulls I got double S ranks, and it was Caesar and her M1. On top of that chapter 4 quickly made her into one of my favorite characters, I'm currently close to 10k polychroms again so I feel much more comfortable pulling for burnice with the original plan
Lost 50/50 on Caesar so guaranteed Burnice to start an anomaly team esp when my selector will be Grace.
Her banner is really good too with 2 follow up agents are nicole and lucy. Both of them are flexible to build a team especially you can run nicole with almost every team and m2 lucy just make you much easier to play

Well, as F2P I got Qingyi* and Jane cost me 155 pulls, so I'm skipping SoC by necessity. Maybe I'm lucky at 50/50 for Burnice, I think anomaly is my favorite playstyle right now. Hopefully she has better 4* than Caesar :D

i pretty much have your exact team composition and yeah burnice just seems more fun so she is going in the jane team.
i consider putting burnice, piper and lucy as my second team as well though, since jane and seth can still easily "solo"
I was going to pull for Burnice after losing the 50/50 and spending 20,000 on Caesar, but I thought, "I'll give the Caesar banner 1 last try." Fitting that's when she showed up. All told, it took about 130 pulls, but I did get her. Sadly, this means I'll have to wait for a rerun of Burnice, but I'm fine with that.

i got lucky and won the 50/50 for Caesar at 30 pulls so if I work at it, I can guarantee Burnice and pair her with my jane team
I’ll be pulling for Burnice for sure. She definitely fits my roster the best and I like her a lot from the story.
Yanagi isn’t calling my name, so I’ll have to see more about Lighter and MAYBE I’ll pull for him to bolster my fire numbers, but we’ll see!
i didnt know Burnice was pullable. I got Ceaser 1st pull and figured,"Welp, hype is over for me now."
Im still pissed off about Jane's event. damn near redeyed that entire event, even dropped a couple $20s for polys. (yea, i know. im a dirty pay pig.)
after 7 pulls and on the last day of the event, FINALLY got an S pull and was super excited! wall spins around, im skipping the W-Engines so i can see my girl Jane and what do i get....... SOLDER 11!!!!!!! *Flips desk again*
no pulling for Burnice for me XD. I caved and went for Ceasar because she's so cute. Was gonna pull for Burnice first but then i found out that Ceasar is so flexible that she can easily fill any slot need (which i did) i also got Grace in the Ceasar banner as i failed my 50/50 so i kinda feel like Grace fills the same function in my Jane Doe team
my teams now are Ellen/Soukaku/Ceasar (replaced Koleda) and Seth/Jane Doe/Grace (replaced Lucy) and Grace really enables the easy disordders already and i don't feel like i'd need Burnice for that. but most importantly i just love Ceasar way more. I can skip Burnice/Lighter/Yanagi (she seems cool though)/Miyabi with ease. All i REALLY want right now is just a Ellen rerun so i can pull for her W-engine
i MIGHT get burnice if i ever end up getting enough resources for her... currently only have 70 pulls in my bank after getting lucky with caesar and her wengine 🗣🗣
I don't have Jane and none of my anomaly units are built at all (sorry Grace and Piper), so Burnice feels like an easy skip. We'll see if I regret this later when they announce a new anomaly character, but my resources are so dry that I have to start saving somewhere...
Caesar is just way too good to pass. She provide you with invulnerability, that allows you to continue your combo when you have other ennemies that attacks you, not even talking about the huge 1000attack boost
It allows my zhu yuan/ellen to not be interrupted, and makes the gameplay so smooth.
Don’t get me wrong, burnice seems nice, but she’s just a dps, and we already got 3 of them since the start, supports will be way harder to powercreep like always
I have Jane do I was originally going to skip Caesar for burnice but after counting all the pulls I had and would get in 1.2 (around 150 total) I decided to pull for Caesar as she would be a great pickup for my zhu yuan team to replace anby and I got her at 58 pity after a total 60 pulls.
So now I’m going for burnice next and hope to win the 50/50 again (which I’ve done 3 times in a row now 😅(zhu yuan, Jane and Caesar) after having lost a 50/50 for Ellen to Lycaon just to get her on the next 10 pull) (yes I’ve been getting pretty lucky on 50/50 tho I almost always had to go to soft pity)
Edit : I also got Jane’s engine with 66 pulls so I would’ve been at 216 pulls for 1.2
Going into 1.2, I wasn't too sold on either Caesar or Burnice and figured I'd spend this time building tapes...until I stumbled onto a demo reel of Lighter's in-game moveset.
I think I get the fervor of the Miyabi folks, 'cause Koleda be damned...I'm going for an M6 Lighter. He's just so COOL, damn it!
Fingers crossed they do something mindblowingly unique with him, but it won't be swaying my determination if they don't.

Lost 50/50 to Rina at 81 pulls, got Caesar on 10 pulls later and 1 tap her W-Engine. I almost lost hope but now I can start saving again for Burnice, 1k6 polychromes till Burnice banner🤘
A disorder team looks fun so baded on how much polycrhome i have when see drops i might go for it. Jane will always be waifu #1. Even though i will have to user her for my team 2 (burnice) instead of using anton.

I was just saving for Miyabi, and considering Yanagi depending how she might pair with Miyabi... buuut Soldier 11 graced my account about 30 pulls early on the standard banner a few days ago. And I *wanted* to get her, since I'd prefer her playstyle over my dear Nekomata's quickswapping, AND I happen to have her weapon already...
...So yeah, I think I'm actually gonna spring for Burnice! I already have Piper and Lucy too, anyway. 😁
Playing Burnice was so much more fun that Caesar in the story imo, I was planning to pull Burnice but play both of them solidified it for me
I took one look at Caesar's gameplay and said, "oh, that's going to be extremely meta, to a brainrot degree." And, well, I already have the full mono-ice team as well as Zhu Yuan if I wanted to play meta, plus I barely snagged Jane as well. Don't get me wrong, Caesar is a great character from a "waifu" stance (though she's less "waifu" and more "befriend her and give her headpats" for me). And I technically pulled Jane almost entirely from a waifu stance myself.
But, much like you said, I thought trying an anomaly team would be fun... and I pretty much instantly fell in love with Burnice's character _and_ gameplay over the course of the MSQ. Her function feels like a fusion of Billy and Corin, the latter of which was my favorite DPS to run before I started picking up S-Ranks, but with a satisfying tactical support function that gets me thinking, sort of why I liked running Rina. And, as much as fire is basically the opposite of my spiritual favorite element, ice, Burnice's entire character is both adorable and relatable. Kinda wanna cosplay her, to be honest.
Also, the whole concept of building a team around Disorder appeals to my funny space dwarf brain, because it's basically Temperature Shock from Deep Rock Galactic, which is, in my humble opinion, one of the most satisfying gameplay mechanics ever designed. Tossing a cryo grenade and freezing a group of bugs, then blasting them with my incendiary shotgun and hearing the distinct juicy _k-pewshhhh!_ as they instantly evaporate... never gets old. (I await your ROCK AND STONEs in my replies...)
I want both Caesar and Burnice, but more Burnice. I still have tons of polys to collect, but I do have enought polys to do about 130 pulls right now. I think I'll do 5 10 pulls for Caesar, and if I get her, great, if I get a 5* other than her, I would have guaranteed Burnice, and if no 5*, I would have bought some pitty for Burnice, and should have more than enough time to build enough pulls in case I lose the 50/50 and guarantee Burnice.

Solid planning, but if I could get burnice in those 5* 10 pulls, I could start saving for miyabi. Section 6 looks good if murimasa (may spelled name wrong) is an electrical attacker that we don't have yet.
@@AverageLuckGamer Update. I caved in. 60 pulls, got Soldier 11. Eff it, we ball. 80 pulls, got Caesar and then Nekomata, on the same 10 pull, on that order. So now I got Burnice guaranteed, and am currently sitting on 20 pulls + all the polys we got to collect, haven't even started chapter 4. I won big time.
Got Caesar after 81 pulls, and now I’ve got 114 tapes left. I’m continuing to save more and with my pity at 85 right now, I need only 61 more to guarantee Burnice. I’m sure I’m going to have enough for that soon, if not before Burnice’s banner ends, so I’m planning on pulling Caesar’s banner just a little bit more to try to get two more Pipers and max her out at C6. I’m relieved and excited to see my has been working!
I’m not a fan of Yanagi’s design, and I’ve got Grace on my second team anyway, so she’s an easy skip for me. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get Burnice without spending too many pulls, and have enough for Lighter when he comes around, but if I don’t manage to get him, then no sweat. Burnice would be great and is my new priority, but I won’t be too broken up if I miss her this time around. Caesar was my #1 wish and I’ve already got her, so I’m very satisfied. Lack of TV mode aside, 1.2 has otherwise been a fantastic patch!
After getting Jane, anomaly became my favorite. It's so fun and Jane is really fun. I have also been a person who loves fire types (pokemon, genshin, star rail, etc.) so burnice is looking like a perfect addition to my characters! Especially since I just love her design and how crazy she is lmao
