Glad i started day 1 and glad i stuck around, the game is getting better with every update and i'am excited to see what the big patches like 2.0 will have to offer
Oh god I didn’t even consider 2.0! Imagine what they’ve done for mere intermediate patches, then translate that to what they *could* do for a major one. I think ditching open world did very good for the team in charge. Can’t wait
Definitely agree that the 1.4 update has been a game changer (figuratively & literally!). The change to the decibels/ultimate is probably my favourite gameplay update, being able to stack all 3 together in a row is awesome!
Oh snap!! U right I am typically strapped for Denny, but this gives me reason to keep practicing teams and being rewarded. I thank God for you. Gonna go practice my Harumasa team some more.
@@patman_for_surethat or use the dbl drop event coming soon on dennies. Nets you 1.8 million. Doing that and then spending 2 weeks (3 runs a day) on skill mats will net you enough to max a char. Agent upgrade mats takes only a 2-3 days. And then you can overcap energy a bit here/there. Only takes 2 energy (120) runs for notorious hunt and 10 runs of other boss. 550+daily 240 was enough to max core and do some disk runs after. Was able to max miyabi immediately when she dropped.
I’m a new player and I want some of the older characters! Can’t wait for their reruns. I also love the story and combat and how I can actually try to get better.
This is a genuinely good game. It should be a bit more difficult at first to keep engagement but overall its everything I look for in a game. It almost ticks all the boxes of combos, adventure, many little secrets, and many different game modes. It would be one of my favorite games ever. The fact that it’s a gacha is the only reason it could never be legendary
This is ironically me. I started in 1.0 and stopped after Zhu Yuan’s banner. Missed a bunch but thank goodness there’s an overwhelming amount of new content.
ZZZ has been adding alot of QUALITY of life changes, new players should absolutely try ZZZ, - if you love PERSONA then ZZZ is the game for you. - the combat is satisfying with those juicy parry and animations. - can be played casual or hardcore depending on you. - SKIP button. - cool characters. - awesome anime style episodic story and plot. - the community is chill and wholesome.
>SKIP button. >awesome anime style episodic story and plot kinda defeat the point of skip button isnt it my friend said the said the same thing, zzz has skip button, even a summary for you, jenshin could never but he didnt skip a single bit of the story so far despite trying to catch up because he just started
For me, the main reason was the gameplay mechanics. As Fromsoftware game season veteran, parry mechanisms was straight up honey for me. When I saw the switch assist parry. Boy, I think I'm gonna play this game for a long time. Plus, the story and world building almost the same as PERSONA?. Yup, take my money. I think they could be an improvement in World building on interactive, such as... ~Cheezytopia ( Make a Bangboo minigame just like Diner Dash) ~Kai's Food Truck (Minigame just like those Hot dog stands game we used to play on Miniclip or Y8games) Overall, this game is definitely a love letter from Hoyoverse. Imagine Yakuza but with anime characters.
I started this patch and won my 50/50 yesterday!! Today I managed to reach account level 30 and did a 10 pull on Miyabi's W-Enginenand got it on my first 10!! I'm set for this patch, I'm saving everything for the next patches. Merry Christmas to everyone by the way 😊
Zenless Zone Zero is honestly a perfect storm of things that I like in a gacha game. I've played gachas with better stories, more interesting characters, and/or better designed gameplay, but all of them have had at least one big issue that has prevented me from getting fully invested to the game or has left me burnt out, except for ZZZ. I really like everything about this game, hell I'm even one of the five people who liked tv mode despite its problems lol. I think in spite of its flaws, ZZZ, and especially 1.4, has executed all of its features well enough to create a game that's very much greater than the sum of its parts
Playing Hoyo games since Final Lesson in HI3rd. ZZZ has the best gameplay, hands down. So glad they decided to give this a chance. They could have just doubled down on games like Genshin, especially after the huge success it was for their first console game. Looking forward to New Eridu’s future, and learning more about the Proxies.
Once this update ends it will feel like we'll have hit that first major FOMO milestone. For players who enjoy the community aspect, and/or who don't like the feeling of missing out. We are currently within the first major update to the game, with a strong character on the banner for double the length of time. You have time to try things out, make choices, and get to the experiences you think will interest you at a comfy pace....If you know you're the type of person who gets psyched out when they miss stuff, then NOW is the time. Get in 'ere. (This message has been brought to you by a pessimistic casual who would normally do anything to tell you to avoid Gachas altogether..... if "I" am telling you to try this game... well....I think you get the idea.....) (play the dang game 'fore you regret it, ya idjit)
I hope every new player uses their free pulls to get Miyabi because she is a wrecking ball. Her damage output alone ensures that there is no wall from the campaign that you can't clear with relative ease. And by getting Harumasa for free this means you can farm polychromes from endgame content like Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault much more efficiently, granted you probably still won't be able to clear everything with an S rating but you'd surely get a large majority of the rewards. With more than a month before 1.5, Miyabi can get you prepared for the new factions or the re-run banners
I got into it because the initial cast lit up my brain. I still think they’re cool even if they’ll obv be powercrept. That and the story and animation expressions are entertaining
I'd count Hollow Zero (Lost Void, Withered Domain + Inferno Reap, even Arpeggio Fault technically) as end-game content also. So there's *lots* to do when you've cleared all the story content and events. And once the Deadly Assault and Shiyu Defense resets start to alternate on Friday's, there will be new stuff to do every single week.
The best time to start playing Zenless Zone Zero is when Defense Force Obsidian Division Obol Squad is finally released... Actually... I'm probably wrong on that, because then you wouldn't have polychrome to get the Defense Force Obsidian Division Obol Squad if you wait till then.
I for one am liking what they are doing with Hollow Zero. Withering was annoying after a couple of tries but this new one is even more rogue-like but in a good way and it's a bit quicker to go through or at least feels quickers while being more enjoyable overall.
I returned to this game recently because I like the story & gameplay. Just wish the gacha experience was nicer. Events in zzz typically only give enough polys for around 4 or 5 pulls? F2P players need to save up for many weeks to guarantee just 1 character, and similar to genshin - all new characters being added are limited which pressures you into spending & with a growing pool of limited characters, you have to wait longer for a rerun (if ever they do rerun, hoyo seems to have forgotten that shenhe exists in genshin...) I'm playing another gacha game called browndust 2 which has much nicer gacha mechanics that are f2p friendly.
I convinced my friend to try it out when the game came out. He lost 50/50 after going to hard pity, kept playing for a bit but quit soon after. I convinced him to come back and again lost 50/50 to miyabi after hard pity.
Glad I started thanks to burnice brainrot. First 10 pull got me Rina and was able to get a high enough IK to complete the events at the time. Ended up getting burnice to m1w1 (about 190 pulls). Followed by m1w1 yanagi (130 for engine, 90 for m1). Had a surprise ealry s rank 10 pulls after m1 yanagi, but unfortunately/fortunately it was lycheon. Proceeded to pull on lighter because I got tempted, but held out at 73/90 (w guarantee) and 40 pulls for miyabi. Put everything gained currently from patch and have her at m1w1 as well, completing the m1w1 trio. Hoping to get her to m2 for ultimate anomaly/disorder comp. Hopefully along the way I can get 10 more A ranks, which will get me enough mats to buy Rinas engine
Lost the 50/50 and 75/25 on Miyabi.... My polychrome wallet may never be able to dance again and if given the chance to revert back in time before pulling for her.... I would 100% do it again. ლ(`ー´ლ)
Definitely agree with you. A lot of day one players might still be used to just logging in for the daily and event rewards, because there wasn't as much to do for the first few months. Good news is, it can still be played in short bursts, but now there's all the end game content to prevent you having that "nothing to do" feeling, if you still want to sink more time in. Side question: Now we've seen how powerful Miyabi is, is it likely all the Void Hunters will be the most powerful, or do you think we might get other's like Big Daddy which will make him "must pull"?
I played the game at release for a week, wasn't impressed, leave I return last week and now I'm having so much fun! I'm so glad to see that the game improve at a steady pace and now it is so much better than it used to be, just like WW. Both game are only around half a year old yet we can see that they implement new QoL and added new better content because they listen to feedback. The bosses, character design a d gameplay is also keep getting better! Man I play GI since launch and only the past few months did they started to listen and add some changes tho it is too little too late
I quite like TV mode, but I didn't like it when I was grinding Ellen F2P with bad luck at launch(lost 50/50, close to hard pity on each) only because those commissions took longer and I was in a rush. It was more on me for getting into 'running on treadmill' mentality with the game, but I think the game being F2P worked against TV mode in a weird way like that. A neat puzzle level will feel like a hassle if it takes 5 times as long as a quick battle that gives the same rewards.
If you play consistently till 1.5 than yes 100%. It’s estimated we’re getting 120 pulls just from 1.4. Including all the content from 1.0-1.3, and the content from 1.5, you will definitely be able to get 160.
I quit because I disliked many things about the game in 1.0, I came back before 1.4 dropped and the game is so much more fun and in better state. Do I regret quitting and not sticking around? tbh no because I feel like I didn't enjoy the game despite many aspects I liked about it. Hope more people like me can give it a second chance and hope they will continue to deliver and listen.
Been playing off and on since qingyi released. I don't think i will summon after being burned too many times. Will probably save polychrome for if they ever bring people back. As someone who has access to play zzz often but doesn't is that an ok mindset to have?
I"ve been enjoying the game but it has been stuttering a lot in mobile since the update and I have found similar posts about it on reddit. Did not experience the stutter before 1.4. It's not unplayable, but it's annoying when your working on harder content. I'm always on the move so I only play on mobile. I hope they fix this soon.

The thing I like about this game is it can be as sweaty or as casual as you want it to be. Very respectful of your time as well.
1:44 the fact that Yanagi got all stanced up like that is awesome. Her foot in on something on the ground so it changed her animation slightly.
