I actually got back into it because of the graphics. It's art style over photo realistic visuals so it still looks good to me.
I like to joke but I actually love the base look of the game, don't tell anyone though 😉

Im so tired of these unreal engine graphics. At this point all the games look the same and the quality of graphics are no longer indicative of quality when all the games are “photo realistic”

@@beasthaven1571 oh i quit hahah. nah the game got friend when they started all the updates, and when they banned a ton of real players for no reason. I think if they want old players back they'd have to reset the servers but even then, I don't know how many players would give the game another chance

The reason that you said dissuades a lot of people from playing is why I picked the game up again. I am in it for the longevity of the game. When I played before I rushed to catch up and missed the game and remember nothing about it. Great video! I am loving your new RuneLocke series!

@@nikkizoip personally when I started OSRS I waited until I completed all the free quests before I signed up for membership, just to make sure I was locked in (I was lol), I'd give the game time to settle and maybe towards the end of the honeymoon period get members if you can afford it ☺️ if you have any questions or just need help feel free to ask in the discord~

When you started zooming in on the character and talking about how you never leave Runescape I was laughing so hard
I have 2 to 3 hrs per day to play and can play more hous during weekends. Still worth playing osrs, or is it better jump to rs3?
Truly depends on what you want from the game! I have around the same time as you per week to play and get a lot out of osrs but it does take longer to get places and you gotta be ready for that. I can't really speak to RS3 but as far as I can gather it's a faster experience but maybe not as rewarding in the end, also way fewer players if that matters to you! The nice thing about OSRS is there's no preassure to catch up to a standard there are people in our clan at all stages of the game and there are still things we can all do together :)

Best questing, hands down. None of that "kill 10 of these" malarkey! Just met requirements for Dragon Slayer (noob). I'm not ready, but I will be haha. I do see myself becoming a member in the near future
Edit: the only thing i wish for is a fully implemented system for shared questing - a no-carry system at that! If you're not smellin' the roses, you're not playin' right
I played it old school way when i was noob i sold Raw chikens and logs to grand exchange and other free stuff like bones then bought armour and leveled up now im Combat 50 of few weeks of playing its so simple to play now days and do quests because people have figured out the game
i really wanted to start playing osrs but the fact that theres a need for the subscription/farm coins for it kinda pushes me away

very minor nitpick, but sailing (atleast from what i understand it)
didnt start out as a joke, it actually appeared mainly due to rumors as back in the days durring rs2 days new skills were being released almost weekly, and alot of things in the game really looked like sailing would be the next skill, there were a ton of coincidence
over time it did indeed warp into a joke with jagex intentionally adding in references, but originally it was simply rumors stemming from the game content itself

Runescape has definitely cemented it's legacy. Although not the first MMORPG, it is the game that made MMORPG's popular. Say what you will about the graphics compared to WoW,
if it wasn't for Runescape, there would be no WoW. Besides the simple and rudimentary nature of Runescape was part of it's character. Now it is touching WoW graphics. That must
be why so many people have left or are playing OSRS.

I would actually not recommened this game to anyone, and this is coming from someone who's playing tempoross while typing this. The game is low quality in every place where it matters, gameplay is dated and awful. It's just a time wasting addiction
