      J'adore ses choix de tempi. Il fait parti de ces rares musiciens qui utilisent autant leur esprit cartésien que leur intuition. Dans un tout autre style on trouve Oïstrakh, Stern, Vengerov....I love his tempo choices. He's one of those rare musicians who uses his Cartesian mind as well as his intuition. In a completely different style we find Oïstrakh, Stern, Vengerov....

    Wonderfully precise. He was never known for being a conventional virtuoso, but he certainly made sure that these were thoroughly prepared!
