Great video. Anyone know how they compare to the sigma lenses? I got the viltrox 56 and loved it but heard later sigma was better. Granted sigma fuji lenses didn’t exist at the time

Does the corner wobble with the xt4 in video mode when moving around
I think that was more to do with shutter speed.
I'm excited for this lens but concerned that it will be too big to need practical for my xs10. Any opinion on this is welcome but kind please as I am a casual shooter with photo focus. I mainly shoot a band on stage with low light. I have the 18 2.0 now at viltrox 23 1.4. Not satisfied with either for FOV (all players on stage from close up (well ~20 ft away.)
I have the xf14mm 2.8, size wise it’s small and very good quality but I don’t know if 2.8 is suitable for your needs. Maybe rent it?
I don’t think this lens will be bad with the amazing grip of the xs10. I have the 16-55f2.8 and it’s heavier than this lens with over 600g. Sure it’s heavy but with good glass comes good weight 😁

@@byRadioactive You have Coma in the extreme corners at f1.4, stop down to f2 and it is barely visible and from f2.8 its gone, the vignette at f1.4 is noticeable stopping down improves it.
@@AndreiDimaReviews do you like the colour? Maybe compare it with samyang 12mm (if you have ever used it)
@@izwanahmad475 I used both lenses and I like the Viltrox more when it comes to color, sharpness, distortion, built quality, it is overall a better lens.

No, I don’t recommend that, especially not with 24MP body.

You watch these and wonder why someone isn't offering a weather sealing ring for Fuji.

Do you ever do super zoom reviews, it would be good to hear your thoughts on the Tamron 18-300 for travel use with the X-T4
I am generally not a fan of superzoom lenses, so I prefer to review different types of lenses. It is possible that I will review some superzoom lenses in the future, but it is not on schedule at the moment.

This lens sounds pretty great for the price, frankly. I only wish it had full weather sealing.
That's the only thing that puts me off buying it.

Bought and returned instantly after how the sky burns even the sun out of the picture and I think like a half moon like a rainbow next to the burnt circle with a blue stripe. Almost €500 bought on Amazon returned cheap is expensive not to believe everything that is said.
I’m sorry, but it is impossible to understand what’s the issue based on that description.
Nice review, seems like a very good lens but the angle is a bit extreme for my taste. Too much perspective deformation. Maybe it would not be the same case in landscape photography where there are less perpendicular repetitions than in architecture and man made.
Third party lens are interesting, I'm just hoping for some to come up with real weather sealing, optical stabilization and fast/quiet focus at a lower price than Fuji. I didn't say cheap but if an equivalent quality/ functions is like 200 250 less than Fuji, I'd buy no problem.
Nothing bad about what I'm gonna say : I follow your channel and watched a lot, a lot of your videos and was always wondering why you have the exact same voice intonation in the end of each sentence, now I'm fixed, I watched your videos in your language and you have the same intonation too, must be related to language then (like Italians who "sing"), it was quite fun for me to discover the why and how by watching videos in a language I know nothing about.

What do you mean by shrink aperture? Does that have to do something with lens geometry?
@@REMY.C. I think he was time traveling when he made that statement. I would offer up shooting in a square format to shut down distortion. Interestingly, a lot of 60's fashion work was down with ultra wides shooting upwards from low positions to skinny tall models. Maybe it's time to bring stylization back to portrait work...

Way too big for my needs - it is hardly compact. I have the Viltrox 23mm so will stick with that.
That is a completely different type of lens.
