This is how my projects go. I just claim that I meant to put a few coats on the concrete. I love your daughter joining you. It's good to learn early, especially with a parent!
WOW, WOW. That what was an impressive project, and the finish product is spectacular. You and the family will get years of enjoyment out of it. It also served as a lesson. If your work doesn't turn out as you plan don't accept it, get it right. DIY Princess
I'm a woman who's the third tree removal installed windows doors roofing siding so it takes quite a bit to impress me and you have impressed me he never gave up you did most of the work yourself if not all tell me my 50s now and it's taking me so much to try and get back to my creative side so thank you for inspiring me it looks fantastic and you deserve a day at the spa or at least dinner made by your husband keep up the good work and thank you again
Really came out very nice!! I create a checklist on my phone of the projects I want to accomplish. When I complete them, I check them off making me feel good as I complete them. You must feel really great when you completed this project! 😉😃 I feel very happy for you! ❤ it! tc
Excellent job and great move stepping away periodically from the challenges with the wall to work on other things and let the mind and emotions settle, then come back with fresh perspective. Glad it all came together so well. Thanks for the great example of what can be done when you don’t give up and settle for less than what you planned. Looks fantastic.
you are one hardworking son of a gun! everything didn't go as planned but you persevered! I enjoy your channel and envy your stamina, beats the gym, right?!
I'm impressed that your concrete blocks don't look like concrete blocks. By the way, your old, simple fire pit would be an upgrade in my backyard Mine sits on 4 metal legs and came from Lowe's. 😂
Melissa check the civil engineering way of mixing soil and cement for bases. Less to dig out and less product to buy to put down as a base. Thanks for another great video x
Looks super good, very nice. I understand planning was more fun than building, only because you ran into a couple of set backs. Wondering why you didn't make the benches the same length as the planters? That's a great use of a corner, that many don't use. Nicely done!
@@WelcometotheWoodsBlog - It is beautiful, not questioning that - guess my ocd kicked in and wanted it even. I'm also jealous that you have rocks. I'm in florida, they are trucked in for my area, sold by the pound. When I lived in Mich. you could get them from the river banks and wooded areas.
What a beautiful project from a beautiful woman. You are Amazing!!! Multitalented with both brains and beauty. 4 kids and still have a smokin’ hot body. Your hubby is a very lucky man and I hope he appreciates all that you do to be the wonderful woman you are
Excellent project! I'm concerned that the planter will probably crack during the winter freeze from moisture in the soil. Did you consider that? I wish I had a suggestion to prevent that. 😞
Hm...I don't think so. I will do a bit of research but I did seal the concrete on the inside of the planter, planning to apply liquid rubber to it perhaps as well to prevent moisture transfer between the soil and concrete.
Hey, looks good. This popped up in my RUclips feed and I just noticed I'm not able to view your videos on Instagram - did you change your channel name ?!?
Please please please don’t sand without a mask. Breathing wood dust is very dangerous. Look into a 3M respirator or something. You are inspiring, and I love watching your content. Keep it up!
@@WelcometotheWoodsBlog ooo very likely indeed! Where I’m from (New Mexico) stucco is standard for houses, walls and the like. So it kind of blew my mind that he did that /knowingly/ to you. And I think you’re right, it makes much more sense that he actually didn’t know and acted like he did.
@Welcome to the woods: Why are you sanding pressure treated wood without a mask... You MUST MUST MUST think of your poor lungs, or you'll be a beautiful girl on a respirator for life. Please wear a mask:)
What am amazing ride! The final result looks so good
The level of detail is stunning. Just.... mind blown.💥 You are a DIY goddess.
Thank you 😊

I was so happy she wanted to help. :)
Great job, Melissa! The area looks SO inviting and you can tell that your family loved it! Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
That is absolutely gorgeous. But I am EXHAUSTED watching you do this LOLOL. Wonderful job!

Good job. Your stick-to-it-iveness to keep trying on the finish was commendable.
I love all your videos but I found this one to be probably the most relatable one for me as a fellow DIYer.
Aw that’s great! Was it the trying five times to get it right? Lol
There was that, but I felt it in my soul when you sat down frustrated with a deep breath contemplating your life choices 😆
Melissa, your transformation of that space is incredible!

That planter better look good, the amount of work! It fits your family well.
I've been watching your videos for a while. This has to be one of the best planned and executed projects to date. Great work, Melissa.
Thank you!! I feel the same. I'm proud of how this one turned out.
Fantastic work, absolutely blown away by your hard work, you’ve inspired me to try something similar in my garden. 💯💪🔥

Because the a-symmetrical design is what makes the entire thing beautiful lol.

That guy who talked you into stucco did you dirty on purpose, sorry about that.
Or he really didn’t know anything and pretended like he did, much more likely 🫣
