- We are finally back building the Turbo Honda boys :)
I am so excited to get back to work on this absolute sleeper! I don't care what it takes, we are gonna make this CX Racing turbo kit work & she's gonna make as much sauce as she can handle!
If I could go back in time, I would've bought the Bullboost performance sidewinder manifold & pieced together the rest of the kit, but here we are. We are gonna make this work & it's gonna be the most fun budget build you've ever seen!!

I will do that! I’m trying to be as transparent as possible when it comes to the cost of this “budget build”. Couple videos to go at the track with the STI, then jumping straight back to the civic! 👍🏼

i just noticed something insane, i'm planning on buying this kit, perfectly fine with having to do some DIY, but the thing I noticed is the reinforced manifold is entirely different than the normal one that they sell for $100 less. The photos they use for the turbokit has the normal one, which explains the fitment differences... they should have mentioned that/don't even know why they would attempt to angle thing differently.

Hey so u kept the 38mm wg with the 2 bolt flange? Everyone is telling me the cx racing kit will encounter boost creep bad with a 38mm so I am contemplating going 44 and welding on a vband flange in its place . Let me know

How was your downpipe fitment?
@@DanielKellert it hits the manifold. But i heat wrapped it and sent it. Hope it doesnt cause to many issues. But you do get what you pay for.

Stock block I ran 11 psi 💀 and would’ve went further but I only had 1000cc injectors and was on e85. Changed vtec to 6k though to keep torque out of it because that would’ve been the bottom end killler lol

I just recently install same cx kit. The kit includes a metal pipe with 2 hoses and clamps to replace the upper radiator hose. Is in the intercooler piping box. My kit is working good for me. I cut the downpipe 4 bolt flange and weld a v band and I bought a different turbo G3582 converted to vband too and doesn't hit the manifold..Any question let me know.
V band is a good idea lol I only need to rotate that downpipe like 1/2” & it would fit 🤦🏻 I found a spacer I can use to make it fit though 👍🏼 I just went through the boxes & found the rad hoses. Those will be in the next video 😅

The only turbo kit worth buying for this chassis was either Full-Race or PRL. Unfortunately, both have been discontinued.

I don't think CX Racing is an "ebay" turbo in the traditional sense, but it seems like it doesn't matter in terms of fitment. You going stututu or pssshhh?
Let’s call it 1 step above ebay. Also, the fact that I 100% understand that question made me laugh 😂 I’m gonna try running the CX Racing BOV & see what happens. Should be a pssshhh type of bov. If not maybe we will build a block off plate & go full stututu.
CX Racing is the definition of eBay crap lol I had great success building my own turbo kit on my B series with all separate parts from eBay, and selecting certain things to buy quality(oil filter feed spacer, an lines and fittings, injectors, fuel pump, turbo manifold etc.) Be sure to use the proper oil restrictor for the turbo oil feed. The kit is not guaranteed to come with the right one. I would get a good name BOV and wastegate as well. Good luck dude, can't wait to see the first start!

@DanielKellert I been watching u and I'm gonna make mine a bit more rice. I'm 37 n that was the golden age plus I'm Mexican so I can rock it. Lip kit and big spoiler big wheels. I'm gonna leave it at 8lbs tuned
@@DanielKellert it fits fine i have the fa5. bro this cx kit is a pain in the ass. im useing the upper waterneck u have and bought an adaptor to run water to the turbo n back to the throttle body. but i had to cut the water fittings because they are so long

shoulda just not used that 45 on the wastegate
1. It won’t fit without the 45
2. The dump tube is built to clear the trans with the wastegate mounted on the 45. If you mounted it without the 45, you’d have to build a custom dump tube. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a “kit” at that point. 🤷🏻

Worst kit ever, bought one last month nothing fit, besides the innercooler piping which you have to cut the frame rails on driver side to fit anyways , inner cooler doesn’t fit with bumper either , you’ll have to trim the bumper to the point it looks like crap. I messaged cx racing and got left ignored asked for a partial refund and they pretty much refused I’m literally beyond pissed and they have the worlds worst customer service ever. I’ll be making a video shortly on my experience with them.
Oh trust me mine is just as bad 😅 but we are gonna make it work!
