The home of Irenie Cossey is a place with plenty of heart and soul. The Dublin-born founder of Irenie Studio lives and works in an extended Victorian townhouse in Canonbury, north London, that she designed with her architect husband and which they share with their three children Olivia, Jake and Clara. Running a creative practice - which spans interior styling and colour curation - and raising her brood under one roof has had its challenges, she says, but having lived here for 13 years, Irenie has not simply crafted a home that works them but one that tells their story too.

Like Irenie repeating her ceramics course, I always find myself playing your videos many times over. So much to absorb. Thank you Modern House! Such interesting and inspiring homes and joyous personalities. Irenie's vitrines are superb - like adult dollhouses - and the acoustic curtains such a practical idea. ❤

The whole thing is good energy. And a non-joke mullet too.

Stunning home, I love modern spaces, but I’m not a fan of homes that look like they’re ready to flip. The cabinets are amazing, it’s giving me some ideas on how to keep those little treasures that belonged to my parents and the endless curiosities we collect. And just wow to those rugs. Love it all.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

I thought Tom and Jerry was a cat always trying to catch the mouse and the mouse always outsmarting the cat. I watched it as a kid. What is there about race of humans? I don’t recall anything.

I truly believe it has more to do with design. I am an artist and I used to live in shared houses and I always turned my rooms into a piece of art and consciously picked each item. Usually people would be very surprised about the difference it makes - the rest of the home would look average.
