“There are a lot of objects in this space and none of them really have their desired function,” says Oscar Piccolo, showing us around the east London flat he shares with his Welsh terrier, Pluto. The Sicilian art director and maker - perhaps best known for his wavy ‘Lampada Cappello’ lamp - has a penchant for peculiar pieces that he finds anywhere and everywhere. His shelves and surfaces, for instance, are stacked with bits of wood he’s picked up in the park, a miniature metal bull and an Inspector Montalbano book gifted by his “nonna”. Each item has a story to tell - and in our latest film, he gives us the low-down on seven of his favourites.

Lovely to keep and treasure his things and a pretty home. Although it’s a known myth that dirty coffee in the pot makes the coffee taste better, it’s just burnt so adjust grind size, time on the hob and you can have a fresh pot when the time comes!
Loved wooden food, it's a nice reference to the architecture digest videos with bowls of fruits noone could possibly eat

Yes, I don’t know this person in the video, but I would not be a friend to someone who did that. The guy probably really misses his chair. Might have even been sentimental, who knows? A very narcissistic thing to do.

Of course this home and and it’s objects are incredibly beautiful and harmonious but to so intentionally refuse to include any colour becomes formulaic.
