Considering all that they even surprised people with the car models like tesla roadster, tesla model s, tesla model 3, tesla model x, tesla model y, tesla's cybertruck, and Elon Musk's very favorite tesla's semi truck. Including Elon Musk's futuristic battery technologies and other technologies these car models tesla roadster, tesla model s, tesla model 3, tesla model x, tesla model y, tesla's cybertruck and elon musk's very favourite tesla's semi truck did great in the EV market. That increased Tesla's stock price so high that it became 2nd fastest company in history to reach $1 Trillion in market cap making Elon Musk the Richest man in the history of mankind.

I'm very curious (and hopeful) with regard to the privacy features and philosophy of the PiPhone. Protecting personal integrity would be a giant selling point and I'd pay a lot for such safeguards.
Phone with secured privacy is already exists, "Linux" phones, but guess what, they barely selling phones, why? Because nobody cares, every one enjoys their free RUclips, twitter, Facebook & such apps, why they are free? Because you spending money based on the adds & commercials you seeing from that apps.

I’ve always been a Apple fan since actually using Apple then never went back to Windows or Android based machines. I think Apple has got too confident and decided that is why they will not enhance the design. I will be buying the Pi phone even if it cost 2k. I think many will follow and Apple needs to change its design. The Pi also will be a crypto miner so you can’t beat letting your phone make you $$ by just owning it.

Integration with Starlink satellites is a game changer. This could be a feature that helps Pi phone's success.
The performance is what matters, connectivity varies between countries so its tangible and dismissed. Iphone exists while Pi phone doesn't but we'll see what all this fuss is about.

Most of Apple's tech was acquired through buying other companies. Since they have no manufacturing capability they must rely upon others and as a result often get new tech 1 year behind Samsung.
It was the smart engineers that created the tech not Steve Jobs, he was just the task master pushing and the collaborative driver.

The iPhone 3 was my first phone and I’ve stuck with iPhones ever since without any question about trying other phones. With that being said, either your an amazing salesperson going over another new phones features or the Pi Phone will definitely be something I’ll have to add to my shopping cart!! Definitely is interesting to hear about it.
I've been an Apple user for 18 years. I switched from IPhone to Samsung Android after apple annoyed me with the built in redundancies and battery annihilating software updates. I only have the midrange A52 but even that was a massive jump from my old 5s. It will take a revolutionary product product me to switch back. I also have a 2015 Imac 5k and its showing its age already.

Competition is very good and Apple has been getting away with some negative ethical practices such as messing up older iPhones…I will definitely be interested in the Piphone. By the time it comes out I just might get an electric car too I especially like the solar power feature and the cool tech stuff. Functionality will be important

@@Invisus_Letum I think this mindset is very wrong, iPhone gives support for 7 years of software support for a reason, and that is to stand out from the competition, why bother supporting your devices so long that takes so many resources when you could just throttle the performance down of a phone to obsolete in only a few years, no, Apple is not the business doing that, and even though they faced a lawsuit, I think it is because Apple made a mistake of not informing customers of the issues concerning tasks getting more and more intensive as your phone ages and as you install new software updates, they don't have throttled down code because their phones are on another level in performance of the phone, and 1/3 of iPhone users still uses iPhone 7 or older showing that definitely not all iPhone users buy iphone every day, its all this iPhone for the rich propaganda, I think this needs to be changed as Apple make devices premium and pratical and that is their intent customer and why they have such loyal customer base

I am intrigued by the Pi phone, but I've had my S9 for almost 6 years now, and is still working fine. When I do have to upgrade, I will definitely strongly consider the Tesla phone. Too long Samsung and Apple have dominated the smart phone market.

If true - he meeds to have figured out how to shrink the antenna down to fit in the phone form factor. If the phone is capable of operating in enclosed spaces (and not JUST outdoors) then he has to have solved the line of sight problem. *I* am not saying he HAS solved these problems. ELON has implied that HE has - by touting his phone

If it dies ill buy the cheapest piece of crap tracfone on the planet and wait. Unlike most people I just use it to play a couple of stupid games and listen to podcasts. Oh and take a credit card from time to time when I'm working. Other than that it's a total waste of time money.

Elon Musk is the man. I have seen a few of his interviews lately & I have gotten to like him. He seems like a genuine human being, I may be wrong & I will soon find out but I get the impression that Elon Musk is not in it for the money. He seems to be genuinely interested in helping humanity as a whole.
I've been a switcher from Windows to Mac's now for 15 years... Have everything Apple based at home, but although the designs are nice, they are just really slow on ground breaking technology... Would love for the Tesla Pi to come about and really shake up apple. I for one, would definitely switch. I think the market is in need for something ground breaking and a new bench mark away from Apple. Think their time now is becoming limited.

I've never bough an "i-anything". Grossly overpriced as you get comparable performance to an Abdroid and the other half of the price is for theApple logo -- I can manage without that thanks.
I have always been a fan of apple,especially the computers that can be used 10-15 years instead of having to pay extra with Microsoft platforms for antivirus software and then replace every three years. They are expensive though and especially since that idiot Tim Cook took over as CEO, I can’t wait for the Tesla Pi. I won’t be buying electric cars anytime soon but the phone and the Starlink platform are pure genius.

Pi Phone hardware sounds amazing but if it's running android then that might ruin it for me. It would be awesome if Tesla could come up with their own innovative OS although it would be difficult to reinvent the wheel.
I’m betting there won’t be “Planned Obsolescence” issues where you will have to buy a new Pi every time the OS is updated. I’ll be making the switch as soon as it is available.

once the PI is released and gains in popularity it to will be hammered by hackers. Remember when Apple was the most secure Computers. Not so much any more it was only that the payload was not worth it.

I think the future Tesla cell phone will be the Ultra modern cell phone of the century. With the satellite outside the Earth providing the power it needs, it will be very fast to use for communication. Good luck. I’m glad to hear this development. Apple has been taking its’ customers for granted scaling back their product by decreasing battery life, eliminating updates for ‘older’ models (usually by 2 to 3 models) and when you purchase a new high dollar phone (at the time iPhone 12 max pro) you did not receive a charger or new ear pods. With Apple decreasing its’ product quality and longevity- I hope Tesla gives Apple a run for its money.

What bullshit I heard, they don't decrease battery life intentionally, all batteries degrade because of lithium and they support software updates for like 7 years now on my iPhone 6s, but I agree, removing the charger and earpods is a mistake, but they don't decrease the quality and longevity of its products because 1. Apple produces chips equivalent to an Intel i5 while drawing 20x less power 2. Their iPhones come with stainless steel and has a durability that even beats out the Nokia 3300, one of the most durable phones ever 3. Their cameras are still very excellent 4. Their battery life on the 13 pro max is excellent and easily destroy the competition 5. You have way more privacy on IOS then on any other competitors

If he can create a phone that is equal to or greater than the iPhone and sell it for less money he will instantly dominate the market. His only problem will be making them fast enough lol. I really hope that he has them made somewhere besides China. Make them in Texas and the U.K. and he will have marketing gold. If the phones are made to use the starlink system as well as land based cell towers so that they will work anywhere in the world he will sell billions of them. Just think of the possibilities of a phone that works absolutely everywhere. You could be on a boat crossing the Atlantic or Pacific oceans and be able to make a call just as if you were on land! Amazing! I would definitely drop apple and switch.

Yes, without a doubt a game changer! I think the thing being overlooked still is Ai wearables integration. We are in a health crisis, the majority of health issues can be predicted in advance, and diagnosed without a visit to the doctor. The Pi phone should have health accessories like a a watch and a ring that monitor blood pressure, heart rate variability, body temp, heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen levels, heart rhythms (ECG), stress, exercise, etc. Eric Topol and Daniel Kraft did Ted Talks on this subject. A handheld app guided ultrasound device would reduce unnecessary ER visits. Your personalized health dashboard would see changes in your data and automatically order labs at a kiosk nearby.
I can imagine small pods similar to the “BodPod” that would do a comprehensive cardiometabolic scan in minutes….if Tesla wants us to see them as futuristic then this is a must, it needs to accelerate the change from acute care to preventative care.

The concept is really amazing would definitely bring revolution but, it'll face lot of challenges, atleast in the initial stage.
First off: considering all the functionality, a lot of processing power would be required.
Second: Lot of processing power means rapid battery drain.
Third: solar power battery is a good concept but, won't be very efficient. Because, there are places in earth where sunlight is not that abundant plus solar charging is slow.
Fourth: iPhone's main USP is it's security that it provides. It'll be a though competition to overcome.
PI phones concept is good and I'm not saying it won't work. But these things needs to prioritised including performance.

I’ve bought a lot of electronic devices through out the years one problem with most of these devices is they’re great coming out of the box but after 30 days or a few months they don’t services them they don’t update the software I didn’t like apple for years but apple stands behind there products something that none of the other companies do I don’t know if Elon musk will stand behind his phones and keep updating his software but others haven’t as I said I didn’t care for apple at first but through the years they’ve earned my respect and admiration and since then I’ve purchased quite a few apple products and as long as they’re around I will be upgrading with them for years to come. As for Musk we’ll see haw he sticks with his products he is going off into so many directions will he back them for years or just drift off into new projects and forget about the the stuff from days gone by like so many others have done
He would have to keep update for bug and quality of life issues or it will flop and an all American supply chain would be a big plus, for me anyway
I have six phones in a drawer somewhere that conveniently and purposely are to make it out of the warranty and then drop dead the LG stylus 6 phone I have now every time you touch the screen it goes berserk these phone company don't make a damn bit of money on their monthly service what they make their money honestly on is the phones that drop dead all the time out of warranty sometimes I think the United States of America is the only country in the world that you could live worse for more and more means a lot more for these companies to make their profit on when their products are just out of warranty and every week they come out with a new flavor phone that entices you to spend the money full knowing that the phone is going to drop dead just out-of-warranty by days

@Keltic D dude security updates and os updates are two different things. Samsung has a huge library of phones compared to iphone and will still update a lot of them via security updates either monthly, quarterly or bi-annually....
