Ok those who don't know the logic behind calling this vegetarian, here is a explanation for it. Usually in the eastern part of India, we worship the Shakti form of Goddess. Goddess Kali is the revered in Dash Maha Vidya/Avatar of all Goddess. The other forms are Tara, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Bhuvaneshwari, Tripura Sundori, Bagalamukhi, Dhumavati, Kamalatmika. These are worshipped in tantric methodology which includes sacrifices. Though it limits to few places only. So sacrificial meat is being prepared without garlic and onion for which in Bengali we considered it as vegetarian. As we consider onion and garlic as non veg. Btw as said in Tantra "Jaha Prakritik taha hi Tantrik". One that is natural that is tantra in itself.
Hi Insiya and Saptarshi... Wish a merry Christmas. Just saw you at Golpark more. I was with my mom. I showed her you both. But felt very shy to talk to you. Advance Happy new years
My father keeps on sharing memories from his childhood pujo at home (when we used to have sacrifices). To him, this niramish mangsho, cooked with bata moshla (including the turmeric), was better than every other preparation.
Thanks for sharing this. The niramish pathar mangsho is the only kind cooked in our family, albeit without the hing. It's my mother's specialty. People who have never tasted it find the idea confusing. But once they have, it's preaching to a choir!
This recipe was a huge hit in our home. I have a request - could you possibly do a video on types of rice in Bengal and what types of recipes they can be used with? I have learned to appreciate Bengali cuisine due to your videos. Thank you. 🙏🏽
I really appreciate this channel. The fact that u guys still use, pestle&mortar for grinding spices, this is traditional bengali cooking style. Truly very very nice channel
Loved this recipe. It reminded me of my childhood, My Father used to make this Niramish Mangsho dish specially on Festival days like Nabami and Kalipuja. A small request to you. Can you provide an authentic and traditional recipe of Mete chochori(Mutton liver curry)??
Actually I'm from Bangladesh.I don’t know why you guys calling it vegetarian Mangsho?(my guess is it because of you Don't add onion and garlic in this recipe)
You're my favourite cooking channel in RUclips. I trust very few channels when it comes to cooking but your recipes are always perfect ❤ Also the way your videos are shot n presented is so beautiful - you guys define "cooking is an art ❤". You're like an elite cooking channel 🌹
This food recipe channel stands out among all similar channels on RUclips because narration is missing, videography is excellent, background music is superb and presenter's face is not shown. No frills.
Hi Can you provide the details of the hob that use for cooking. Also, a new and updated video on the tools and equipments you've been using. Thank you 🙂
Loved that you used the stone grinder, in Kerala we call it as "Ammi". Reminded me of my childhood where my mom and grandmother used to make chutney using these stone grinders. Once I tried using these stone grinders.
If anyone visited Ma Tripureswari Mandir in Tripura, its a shakti pit, this is the Bhog, offered. But I am not sure Hing is used. Cause Hing, Garlic, Onion are considered Amish.. on hing I may be wrong. I am fortunate enough to have tasted the prasad. 🙏🏽
Bcs its cooked without onion and garlic, which are considered aamish. Mutton here is from pujo sacrifice, so it's prasad. That's why it's considered niramish here.

No you are wrong. Maa kali is a God of Tama Guna. And Meat is considered as Tama Guna food. And that's why we offer it to Goddess.
@@uttoranbhattacharya6664 thanks Sir for the correction. I was trying to mitigate the misunderstanding only about this..!!! Thanks again
The mental gymnastics of this lmao...
Not vegetarian, niramish...
So you don’t add onion garlic in your actual vegetarian dishes??
It's been so many years and you ppl are still doing wonders and making me feel sooo good
Thank u guys
অসাধারণ। আমার সব থেকে ভালো লেগেছে মাংসটা ভেজে নেওয়ার পদ্ধতিটি।তোমাদের কাছ থেকে অনেক কিছু শেখার আছে
Hi Insiya and Saptarshi... Wish a merry Christmas. Just saw you at Golpark more. I was with my mom. I showed her you both. But felt very shy to talk to you. Advance Happy new years
Oh! Please say hi the next time! Happy new year to you too.
My father keeps on sharing memories from his childhood pujo at home (when we used to have sacrifices). To him, this niramish mangsho, cooked with bata moshla (including the turmeric), was better than every other preparation.
What is bata moshla?
@@victoriaalex6163bata = wet paste. Bata moshla = wet ground/pasted spices
@@victoriaalex6163it literally means crushed spice mix. In the context of the video, that would be the cardamom, clove, cinnamon paste.
Absolutely love this! The visual of eating with hand at the end is awesome!!
Onek din kono video dewe ni to... Please upload something... New Year bole kotha. BTW Happy New Year both of you
