Can't help it! After 60 years of rock music, I still think this is the Number 1 song ever produced. Very good stuff, Sanford-Townsend.

As a longtime ago rockstar, ST was one of the best sounds and talent that still resonates today! We covered my of their songs and still get movin when I hear them today... What a voice that will live in infamy.

John Townsend has such an amazing voice. I hope he realizes how much he has inspired so many singers out there. Keep it up, John.

A real tough song to cover, you guys nailed it! Even without the horns the guitars filled it. Great solo. I just realized John Townsend was on the vocal, no wonder it was spot on! This song is nothing short of a jem!

That’s weird. I had NEVER thought he sounds like DH but now that y’all said that his voice does have a similar sound.

Man, what a great tune. Did ST ever write anything as good? Townsend has one of those gifted voices, for sure, and I wish he had been able to have a bigger career. That he can still pull off this song 30 years later shows just what a talent he was. But seeing him cramped off to the side (to get a spotlight?) is a bit depressing. I guess the ego of the lead beard guitarist was too big to let Townsend take main center stage where he belongs. Friggin' musicians...

@TheBigEd56 not bad. Missing the incredible alto-clarinet bits from the original, but still pretty tasty.
John looks a little animic, if you've ever seen the original. Orange hair?

Audio quality from this live recording is really poor. Sound is distorted and unbalanced. Not worth listening to for that reason.

Just another example that nothing/ but nothing sounds like a Les Paul !!!###
